We selected this home inspector on the advice of our realator. The website and guarantees were impressive, and on the day of the inspection, things seemed to go well. It appeared that a detailed analysis was done, and we were given a full report. A few minor issues were identified that we negotiated during the home buying process. After we moved in, however, we discovered many major issues with the plumbing, electrical, and garage not disclosed in the inspection. This included items such as adequate drainage from pipes and wiring that was not up to code and was a fire hazard per our electrician. We called the inspector to ask how the warranty program works, and they were extremely rude and combative. After several emails and phone calls in which they told us both that we were "over reacting" and " not thinking", we realized no resolution would be reached and paid for all repairs out of pocket. I would never use this company again and would discourage you from doing so!

I thought Mike and Karen were pretty easy to work with. The builder provided us with a very tight schedule, and we basically had 1 day that we were allowed to get an inspector in there. Mike and Karen were on-top of things and were willing to work around the builder's schedule. The house was not completed on schedule as it was supposed to be. Mike still performed the inspection. He tested all the appliances and noted some things for my builder punch list. He also showed us how to work the furnace, hot water tank, how to shut water off, etc. Mike is only human and some things were missed -- pretty much all things that were missed were in the master bath. I'm not sure if he didn't spend much time in that room compared to the others, but in his defense my husband and I missed them too during our builder walk-through. Mike provided the report that evening with full color pictures and everything, which I thought was great. We also had a radon test done. His wife, Karen, set it up. She was very accommodating. The timeline was tight, so we did a test after closing. Since it was at a different time than the inspection, they did charge me extra. We had the radon test scheduled, but my A/C blew up the night before. Since it was 90 degrees out, there was no way I could be in a closed up house with no A/C. Karen was very understanding and she said it was no problem to reschedule. We were able to reschedule the test a few days later and she came right out. They had the results of the radon test that evening.
Description of Work: Mike did the home inspection on our new construction and Karen setup the radon test.
