When you wake up, and you realize the panel on your stove is dead! We had gone up to our cabin, and just happened to find Blue Streak in Bayfield. Saw they had an electric stove, and was able to go by and pick it up. In less than an hour, we were back home and cooking breakfast! The stove is in perfect working order and Bob was fantastic to work with. We will be using them again!

I have a practically new refrigerator, but ice would build up below the bottom drawer freezer, then melt, then run on our wood floors. The manufacturer was not helpful, and I could not fix it myself. A friend told me to call blue streak. They not only fixed the problem, but they researched the problem with this brand of fridge, ordered an improved part, installed the part, and it was done by nice people and done professionally and quickly. Need an appliance repaired, these guys are worth every penny, and honest.
Description of Work: Correctly diagnosed problem with Maytag refrigerator, and fixed it.

Diagnosed dryer problem. $80 service call, quoted me $450 to repair the dryer, which only paid $150 for. I declined the repair and asked them to mail me the bill (rental property, I don't live in town), they sent a bill for more than I was quoted on the phone. Prices seemed excessive, probably won't use again.

Read above. It went really bad. Gas leaks from the "repair" and 4 trips to my house and a big waste of money. Do not use this company!
Description of Work: We had some problems with our oven and Blue Streak tried to fix it, 4 times. The 1st and 2nd time I can understand: 1st to trouble shoot then to order parts, the 2nd to install the new parts, but did not fix the problem. Instead my whole house smelled like a propane leak when i got home from work and had to open all the doors in December to air out the house. It was the new part they installed wrong without checking for leaks. So 3rd time to the house to fix the leak. Well they fixed one side of the gas tube, but not the other, so next day more propane and more opening of doors in December. 4th trip to the house to fix the other part of the gas tube that they installed. Remember the gas leak was not part of the problem, but a problem Blue Streak created and my original problem was still not really fixed, but just a little better. Finally I was told by the owner that it's just my stove and elevation that I live at. He never offered a discount, but did appologize for the problems about the gas leak. I will never use this company again and tell all my friends not to. My house was filled with propane twice because of them installing a new gas tube wrong. If you want to worry about your house exploding from a gas leak, these are the guys, but if you want something fixed right DO NOT CALL THEM! A year later and I'm still upset that I spent $500 to have such a bad experience.

Wow, this happened over a year ago and I just now found out about it. This was definitely one of those situations that I could have handled better. Unfortunately, we did damage the gas tube on our first trip out, but I seem to remember we did not charge to replace that part. We did make four trips out trying to solve this problem and three of those trips were made at no charge. I am learning new things all the time and I learned about this brand of range and it's problems at altitude after we had installed some other parts. [removed members name] never contacted me for a price adjustment or to communicate his displeasure so I never had an opportunity to try and make it right with him. What can I say except, whoops, we screwed up. I wish we never made mistakes, but unfortunately, we do. I am glad that this review was posted so I can take steps to avoid this type of misunderstanding in the future.

Our front load washer stopped last night, door locked, water and laundry inside. After calling our normal service company and being told that they were booked for over a week, I panicked! Luckily for me, they recommended Blue Streak Appliance and we called immediately. In less than 1 hour, a technician was at our home and repaired the washer. He was professional, courteous, and informative on what was being done. He then waited while I re-started the washer to ensure that there were no additional problems. I will definitely use Blue Streak in the future for any new appliances or repairs. Great job and my washer is working!

They came and sprayed silicone around the washing machine, It worked fine afterwards but I thought $110 was rather expensive. I am using them again for a bigger job.

Description of Work: After 3 weeks of living out of an ice cooler due to our propane fridg. being non working I called everyone in the area and was directed to Bob at Blue Streak time after time. He returned my phone call within 15 minutes and instructed me on the 2 things he was pretty sure it was and SHAZAM!!! it was number 2 and I now can plan my Christmas dinner having a working fridge. I received the best Christmas gift of all! Thanks Bob!

He fixed my washing machine and got it working but it was expensive. Right after he left I realized that the folding doors that the washing machine was behind was not working the same. There was also a scratch in my brand new bamboo floor. I don't think he knew he did it. I would not use his services again in the future.

I recently purchased a used washer and refrigerator, both Kenmore,they are in great shape and they are an excellent value. All of my phone calls have been returned promptly if not answered right away. I have had nothing but an excellent experience from start to finish. Description of Work: Purchased used appliances, washer and refrigerator all of the contact was professional and courteous. Both came with a six month guarantee standard. I purchased the refrigerator not fully tested, I was fully aware, it was my choice. As a result the ice maker did not work. I contacted Blue Streak, I was walked through my options, I asked if I could purchase a pump for the ice maker. The owner gave me one for free!

Every time Bob's been out I"ve been satisfied. Sometimes disappointed when a unit was terminal but getting a used unit at a fraction of the cost of new always mitigates the feeling. I currently have in addtion to my own house, two rentals and have had as many as four at one time. Bob has worked in all of them and I'd not go to anyone else.
Description of Work: Bob Wennestrom, the owner of Blue Streak has handled all my appliance needs since I moved to Bayfield in 2000. He has repaired washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers and (under protest) a mobile home furnace. He is always prompt and efficient if somewhat grumpy on occasion. If the unit under consideration is a terminal case he often has used and refurbushed units for sale at very reasonable prices. If you want to curry favor with Bob see if you have in old stereo equipment you don't want and give it to him. Great prices, great service and exceptional reliability.
