Excellent!! This man is so talented, He fixed things that I didn't even know were wrong. I can't say enough about how much pride an workmanship that goes into all of his work. He truly makes the world a better place. You will never go wrong having him do all your home.

When we first bought this property, we wanted to turn it into a nice horse property and also needed much more outdoor storage areas. We interviewed several contractors and chose Rick Baxter for his honesty, polite clean appearance, his fairness in pricing, his professionalism, and his previous accomplishments. He did several projects for us in a timely, clean, organized manner. His work crew members were also delightful. We intend to use Rick in future projects.

We met Rick Baxter at church in mid-March. After casual conversation, I mentioned on the phone after seeing his excellent website (www.baxterconstructioninc.com) that I would like for him to build me a detached garage. So he said he would pull his trailer from Bayfield, CO to Pueblo, CO which he did and after two weeks we had a beautiful detached garage. He allowed me to work along with him as best I could. While waiting for the siding for the garage, I hired him to build a basement bathroom which he has been doing. Rick is always very punctual and professional as well as being a pleasant person who is respectful and considerate. I look forward to having him work for us again.

I was amazed to find this quality of craftsmanship at such a reasonable price. Mr. Baxter is a non-smoker and non-drinker and was extremely punctual in every day of work on our new home. He was clean, respectful and I never heard one foul word from him (unlike a few other contractors I know). His estimates were exact and his work was praised by every county inspector that came to inspect the work. I recommend Mr. Baxter without reservation and will be using him for future projects in the very near future.

Baxter Construction is owned and operated by Rick Baxter, and if you can find any reason to hire him, you should. The quality of his work is exceptional, but what is even more important is that Rick is someone you can trust. You can trust him to be honest and fair with you and to complete the job to your total satisfaction. In my experience these are rare things to expect from any business. To put it another way, I wish that he also did plumbing work, electrical work, automotive repair . . . you get the idea. Here's a list of some specifics: 1. Because I was planning on doing some of the work myself (like installing the garage doors) but was unsure initially how much of it I would get to, Rick worked up a bid for me that itemized just the labor costs for these things. This way the price of the garage doors for example was included in the overall bid, but when they were delivered I was able to decide whether to install them myself and save some money, or just pay Rick the itemized amount. This was very helpful for me and is an example of how Rick will go that extra mile to provide the customer with what they need and make sure they're happy. 2. Out of the five different bids I solicited, Baxter Construction's was among the lowest two and there were no additional "unanticipated costs" added to this original bid over the course of the project. 3. It was always easy to get in touch with Rick and often he was the one calling me with updates, or answers to questions, or to check on the progress of things on my end. 4. As I mentioned before, the quality of his work is exceptional. The garage came out perfectly square, all of the walls, windows and door openings are perfectly plumb and level, all of it was done with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. I have been around the construction industry for quite a few years and believe me when I say that this is not the norm. 5. All of the work was done in a very timely manner. I really can't speak highly enough about Rick Baxter. I had never met him before hiring him to build my garage, but since working with him I have run into several people at the local hardware store that also all had great things to say about both him and the work that he does. I hear that his custom cabinet work is incredible and after seeing just his "rough framing" I have no doubt that's exactly the case. I was lucky to discover Baxter Construction and I sincerely hope that this review lands Rick even more work in the future as a way for me to once again say thanks and as a reward for his outstanding work ethics.
