A to Z Electric did the electrical in our new build. After we moved in we began to notice with increasing regulatory “gremlins” in our electrical system. Lights flickering, dimming when appliances turned on, tripped electrical fuses, sparks behind fan switch controls, etc. We had LPEA install a recorder at our pedestal for a week and the report shows no issues on their end. Ross from A to Z came out 10/23/19 during the day and witnessed the flickering light in the MBR. He said he would start by replacing the wall control. Unfortunately the other lights weren’t flickering/dimming at the time but he promised to come out and replace them if it kept occurring. Over the next few days I recorded videos of many of the lights flickering, dimming, etc. On 11/8/19 I spoke to the owner of A to Z, John, and told him about the LPEA report and the videos I had taken. John said “how do I know if it’s your house or that someone’s not off the side flipping the switch.” He then denied that Ross had witnessed flickering lights or that he had agreed to replace anything. I sent the LPEA report and the videos to John. That was the last I heard from him or A to Z Electric. I am currently working with another electrician and we are making progress. Seems that at least some of the issues are the result of A to Z using very low quality products. Videos have been posted to FB. They do not stand behind their work and now I am paying someone else to fix the issues.

Description of Work: Ran a test yo find break in electric line..which was already dug up and we already knew where the break was. They did not have right materials to fix the wiring correctly. Would of had to make another trip out yo fix it right. They temporarily fixed the problem with some electrical tape..with rain in the forecast the next couple days this was NOT a good fix..

I called on the weekend and John came first thing Monday morning. He was punctual which is hard to find in a service provider in Bayfield. He knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. I would definately use A to Z again.
Description of Work: I called because I could not get my home generator operating. John found out it was the battery that was dead. He purchased a battery and installed it for me.

The lighting problem was fixed.
Description of Work: A to Z did the wiring on our new home through our builder. When they came out to re-do some lighting that wasn't working, they also investigated additional lighting that would not come on at all. During their visit the lead electrician (the owner) made remarks that were very unprofessional and accusatory. After fixing the lighting problem, I received a bill for the work. They later agreed that the bill was not due but the unprofessional attitude that was displayed by the owner of the company while in my home burned any chance of a call back from me. I would not and have not used them again.

There was a little miscommunication on when the work would get done but once that was cleared up, John got right on it and performed the work quickly and efficiently. The price was exactly what was quoted and they did not run up the bill. These are good local folks who have been here a long time. They get busy from time to time and you might have to wait a while, but once they are on the job, they get the job done and have always remained at or below the quote for me.
Description of Work: They rewired a sub panel in my laundromat so that I could install new washers. They also installed a new service entrance pole at another location last summer.
