Water Solutions Sprinkler Service

The lawn part went very well. Grass looks beautiful and is hardy. The sprinkler system, on the other hand, has needed work. We called Tim initially but there was a misunderstanding and we had a hard time getting him out here. When he did respond, he was pounding on our door and shouting for my husband to come out of the house. They 'fixed' what they came out to do but, when we just had our sprinkler system blown out for the winter by another, reputable provider, they told us that our main shutoff valve to the system needs to be replaced. I would not wish this guy on anyone.

The bid was a little higher than others but Frank's professionalism and and good ideas made the bid worth the money. The work was done in a day and a half with little effect to my other landscaping and I am over all pleased with the result. Water Solutions made a couple of trips out to make adjustment and the system, which has now operated for about a year, is functioning well. On a side note, the MP rotors sprinkler heads ,( which were my idea for their high efficiency and water savings) has pretty much been a wash as far as I can tell. It takes more of them to do the watering job and they run longer.

Working with Frank and his crew was a great experience. From the beginning, Frank exuded confidence and knowledge about his field of work. When other estimates came in significantly higher with different design plans, we asked Frank back to clarify his plan and make sure we would get adequate coverage with his sprinkler design. Frank worked with us to come up with a separate zone for the vegetable garden, devising a pipe running the width of the garden with connectors for soaker hoses. We love it. Frank said his crew could do the job in a day, and they did. Frank was around most of the day to supervise. His crew could very well have done the job without him, yet Frank was there to make sure everything was done right, that his crew had the materials they needed, that the appropriate sprinkler heads were chosen for each area of the lawn, etc. A few days after the installation, when we went into the crawl space to inspect the copper piping for leaks and found a tiny leak on one joint, the crew member who had done that part of the job showed up at our house not 30 minutes after we reported it to Frank, and promptly repaired the pipe. Sure, none of us were happy there was a leak, but Frank was responsive and the problem was fixed. In summary, our experience with Water Solutions was a positive one, and we highly recommend the company.

Received and estimate and discount to reduce the scope of the work (I xeriscaped the opposide of the driveway.) Crew of 5 showed up on time and worked hard. Job was finished in one day. I was disappointed in that the contractor did not get the proper permit from the City of Aurora. I had to do that myself. Overall though, I was satisfied.

Frank says he did not do anthing wrong even tho the problem accurred right after he left.

FRANK WAS 15 MINUTES EARLY , THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN OFTEN FOR ME. I SHOWED HIM THE PROBLEM AND HE AND HIS CREWW FIXED IT IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME .

I moved into my house in April and discovered most of the 18 year-old irrigation system was nonfunctional when I started it up in May (for a .4 acre lot). Originally, we were just going to repair it, but Frank convinced me to replace the system which I'm certain will save me a lot in the long run. Plus, he could guarantee a new system for 5 years and I eliminated 3 zones (from 12) although he originally told me it would be reduced more than that. He removed the old valve boxes and installed 2 new ones and put the control box in the garage where it belongs and not down in the basement where the old one was. The Hunter MP rotator heads work great, as does the remote control, although I'm still adjusting them to reduce the overshoot (eg, to prevent my window wells and house from being watered along with my neighbor's yard). Frank did a great job following up and didn't tear up the yard any more than necessary, although I pointed out some trash left by his crew. When a head malfunctioned later, Frank told me it was probably just clogged and how to clean it out (and that he would stop by if that didn't work). It was just clogged so he didn't need to come back. I'm assuming it is saving water, especially since I get a rebate from my town for the spray heads that were replaced and the rain sensor. I'd probably give Water Solutions a B+ if that were available. The price is potentially an A, but I only had other estimates for fixing the system, not replacement. It was a lot more than I had originally intended on spending.

They were prompt and professional. They actually showed up four hours early.

I initially used a different sprinkler company for start ups, blow outs and repairs, but when I realized how much they were overcharging me after I got an estimate on some repair work from Frank and Water Solutions, I decided to have Frank come out to do the work. I have continued to use Water Solutions since and for many years for any sprinkler issues I've had. I continue to use Frank every year due to his professionalism, knowledge, and fair prices. Today I had him come out to start up my system for the season and sure enough, I had some issues that needed fixing (replace sprinkler heads, make adjustments etc). He always makes sure it is done correctly and double checks the work that is done. I was originally scheduled to have him come out yesterday but he was unable to make it and called me to let me know and to reschedule immediately for the next day. Because of the inconvenience he compensated me by giving me a discount on my bill today. A pet peeve of mine is when companies do not keep the customer updated as to whether they are running late or when they are on their way to your home - Frank kept me updated the entire time which I greatly appreciate. I trust Frank's work and assessment of what work needs to be done without worrying that he is taking advantage of me. Because of that, I have also used him for landscaping work and will use him again for other projects besides my sprinkler system. I have referred Frank to friends and family members as well and will continue to call Frank for any services that he provides that I may need in the future.
