Excellent transaction. Workers are knowledgeable and professional and have a good attitude. Great attention to detail and good at troubleshooting. Always competetive with their pricing. These guys have been my go-to handymen for a few years now. If you have something you want done around the house, give em' a call. They can help! - David , (Aurora, CO)

Great experience! Mike replaced a previous contractor who dropped the ball on the remodel. Mike came in and immediately we saw amazing results. He’s efficient, great to work with, reasonably priced and fantastic with times. Would absolutely hire again!

Do not hire these two guys. We hired them to do a kitchen renovation- remove and install new cabinets, do some minor plumbing and electrical, install a window, and remove part of a wall to widen entry. They came in with a bid that was admittedly low and an estimated time frame that was much less than others. We questioned them on the time frame and their bid and they assured us they were on point. We walked through expectations, IN DETAIL, and what was important to us, which included NOT cutting corners. We were willing to pay more to get everything done properly if an issue came up that was unexpected. This is not our first time doing a renovation. We have done plenty of renovation ourselves and knew the right way and the wrong way. From day two, they were late everyday, and everyday consisted of about 4-5 hrs of work. They worked for a couple of hours and repeatedly disappeared on supposed "Material runs". Almost everything they did had to be re-done, doubling the cost of the project. They opened the wall without creating proper load bearing causing a crack in the joist. Their workmanship was sub par, and we provided them an opportunity to fix it according to proper specifications. Even then, simple tasks such as framing of a soffit was done with the level of expertise that you would expect in an elementary school wood work class. They installed plumbing and drywall without first doing a dry-fit of the cabinets (which they said they would do), I meticulously inspected the cabinetry, provided them the schematics, but I realized later they never ever asked any questions on details, and then accused me of not inspecting the cabinetry. They stated, and we understood they would do a dry fit, which would reveal any errors in the design. Sure enough errors were discovered when certain cabinets didn't work in the space intended causing another 3 week delay. The plumbing had to be redone because either the slope was off, or they misread a plan as to wear a fixture and sink were to be installed. We found that almost everything they worked on was not plumb, or angled correctly, or levelled, causing more problems down the line, that had to be worked around or fixed. Extensive electrical for under-counter and recessed lighting was installed (by two guys that claim to be "commercial electricians') but we later discovered "live wires" were shoved behind a wall. We hired proper electricians and they were perplexed on the wiring they was used because it was not appropriate for the job. They left the job everyday with dust, debris and electrical wires hanging unsecured. I had a 2 year old in the house and they had little regard for our comfort or safety. Eventually we fired them because it was clear they were completely over their heads, were not willing to correct mistakes, and kept adding bills for "additional work" that should have been included with their original bill. They essentially claimed that the contract we signed somehow reflected that we would pay them a weekly salary until the job was done, with no assurance that they would actually work on the job diligently every day ?! Their interpretation of this simple contract was beyond me as there was no mention of anything having to be paid beyond what they bid. We expected, based on their bid that it was a flat fee bid for work and materials as all normal, common residential construction contracts are. We paid them well beyond what they bid and no cabinets were ever installed. Why did we pay them?..... because they demolished our kitchen so we had no kitchen, there was no end in sight to the project and we needed it done because I had 6 people living in the house and a toddler. We kept hoping that if we worked with them they would get it done. My husband had to take numerous days of work to supervise them losing all vacation time, and the cost of eating out constantly was astronomical. Eventually we fired them as they didnt seem to be able to ever turn up, do a solid day of work, and get the kitchen to a point that we could even schedule a counter install despite numerous conversations about timelines and scheduling of other contractors. We were left scrambling during the holiday season to find somebody that was competent to fix the mess they left behind. Nobody was available at short notice so we hired another contractor who did his best to fix the garbage these two guys left behind. I should also note that in walking past their truck I discovered they were "pot heads". The truck reeked of weed and they claimed they never smoked on the job. They are crooks, incompetent and lazy. Do not hire them. We were left traumatized by the whole experience. The parting gesture was when we left their tools outside for pick up and my husband came home as they were pulling out of the driveway. Mike revved his engine as if he was going to ram my husband. We considered calling the police but were so exhausted from the whole nightmare. My kitchen that was supposed to be done in 3 weeks starting early October, was finally done in February by us piecing together contractors to finish up. Mike will claim that we constantly changed our mind on the work to be done. Other than a few items related to a soffit, there were no changes AND we paid him a ridiculous amount of money at the time for the changes. The changes involved added at most 1-2 days of work. The schematics and the end product are essentially the same.

Mike & Andrew did an amazing job finishing the inside of my backyard studio! They went above and beyond to get my project done in time, and the end result is a beautiful interior space! Price was very fair and I'd recommend them to anyone with any sort of construction or remodel needs!

This is the best contractor we've ever worked with. They were here every day, and had excellent communication. When we asked questions they were willing to answer them. Every project has hiccups but nothing major happened. We will definitely use them in the future. We've done other projects and this is by far the best experience we've had.

It started good, but then they ordered the wrong shower door and it took two months for them to put in the new shower door and when they are putting it in, two tiles cracked and they are not offering to fix it without charging us for their labor.

Response from Still Water Renovations LLC
To respond to the customers complaint. During completion of the bathroom shower tiles the pre-purchased glass door did not have adequate amount of room for the original purchased door. We told the customer the door would not fit as it was and we needed to order another door to complete the install. They were upset that the door did not fit and (member name removed) the customers husband started to get disgruntled with the fact that the smaller door cost slightly more than the larger door. We have no control over the manufacture costs on items. They agreed to exchange the doors and once the door came in we would pick the door up for them and install the new one the same day if we had time. It took longer than expected for the door to be delivered to the store it was purchased through. We were attempting to come up with an agreed time to install the door, with (member name removed) working early we were told we could not work past 7pm. Going back and forth for a few days, finally we were able to get to the customers home early [Member Information Removed] enough as to not disturb his sleep. While drilling through the glass two of the tiles cracked. (member name removed) mother (name removed) was home but but was not our customer so we could not move forward without the customers consent to remove and replace the tiles. Later that day (member name removed) messaged us showing broken tiles. That is when we gave her an explanation of the delicacy of the tiles being glass and stated we were more than willing to help her with replacing the tiles. She stated we have no idea what were doing based off of something another tile company had told her. We explained to her that we would replace the tiles and install the door for an hourly rate. She obviously did not like that idea and had her mother file a complaint. Her complaint stated that they gave us an F rating and that she would not like us to do any further work for them. Again we reached out to them trying to resolve the issue at hand without response. So once again we are open to discussion in the resolution of this matter and more than anything would like to continue working with (member name removed) to rectify the broken tiles. However with them thinking we are unable to install the materials correctly, not so sure on how willing they will be to resolve this matter.

Excellent. Mike was quick to get me a quote, that was much less than a previous bid I had from another contractor. He set proper expectations and followed through on everything promised. The final product was excellent and I WILL USE THEM IN THE FUTURE!!!!!
