+ -1 moreI talked to them and got a quote, but I ended up just doing it myself. It took time, but I ended up doing everything myself and not hiring anyone. The quote was $2 a square foot. They were pleasant and nice, and seemed to be easy to talk to. They understood what I was looking for to do. With regard to responsiveness, they were very quick. I would get another quote from them.
Description of Work: Sticks & Stones gave me an estimate to do engineered flooring.

+ -1 moreMichelle came to replace the wood, it took her about 1 hour to 1.5 hours to lay the new wood plus clean up. Then her refinisher came the next day put up plastic to minimize the mess, sanded and filled/stained the flooring; it took about 8+ hours of work. He returned the next morning to put on the 2 protective coatings (about 4 hours) the last day he buffed and coated the floor again (2 hours) and it looks wonderful. I think the completed work looks better than what the builder did when the house was built.
Description of Work: My hardwood floors were needing to be refinished (17 years old) and an area of flooring need to be replaced because of water damage. I contacted Michelle Myers/Sticks & Stones and left her a message. She called me back promptly and we scheduled a time to meet. Michelle measured my floors, including the damaged oak flooring and calculated an estimate during the meeting. I had about 15 sqft of damaged wood (red oak) that need to be ripped out and replaced. And over 250 sqft of hardwood flooring to be refinished. Michelle explained the different types of finishes that would give me the best protection. The estimate was wonderful, $912; we set up a time for the work to be done.
