Henry was great to work with. ?We scheduled a time for an estimate and he was there on the day and time he said he would be. ?He came back out to finalize ideas before a contract was written. ?Henry showed up to begin work on the day he said he would and the job was done in a timely manner. ?Henry did everything I asked and made sure I was completely satisfied with the job. ?I appreciate his professionalism and would recommend him to anyone!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! When Henry came out to give us the estimate he was prompt (early even but he called to make sure I was home and available), prepared and very professional yet personable. We had a design and our ideas prepared and he gave his expert suggestions explaining why he would do this that and the other, but still keeping with our original plans. Henry took his time and listened and even suggested options that he felt were just as good but a little more economical. He spent about 30 minutes or so on the estimate which is 25 minutes longer than other landscapers (not found on Angie's List) that had come out to bid on it and about a third of the price. He was extremely quick to return calls and answer any questions. We decided right away that we wanted to hire him and within a month (we didn't want to have it done before May since the weather can get crappy) we have a beautifully landscaped yard. Henry and his team had it done in a day and we're so pleased we went with Natural Landscaping and Design. Thank you!!

Henry and his crew were great. They arrived early in the morning and stayed late. They always did a great job cleaning up at the end of the day too. Henry's crew help xeriscape my backyard and installed a very nice brick planting bed. Will work with again when it is time to complete the front yard.

I contracted Natural Landscaping and Design to repair my flagstone patio. After 10 years the grout had eroded and several of the stones had come loose. Henry and his crew did an meticulous job of removing the old grout and replacing it with new. The patio looks new again. They also constructed a pergola over the patio. The pergola looks beautiful and it exceeded our expectations. It was well constructed out of redwood and the design was just what we wanted. Not only was the work performed well, the clean up and care they used was exceptional.

Henry was great. He came by our house in mid-May, made a bid, and he told me he couldn't schedule the job until 3rd week in June. We had a number of other bids, all around the same price. We scheduled the work with first one and then another contractor, both of whom were responsive to calls and emails but never showed up. We got very tired of the run around and lack of follow through. Henry called back in June and said he could schedule the work. He completed the job on time and on budget. Our patio extension looks great and Henry was by far the most professional contractor that we dealt with.

Henry and his team are fantastic! Within a week his team did so much clean up work I almost drove by my own house it was that nice. :) Clearing away of a lot of pine needles, leaves, weeds. Installing grass barriers, making my place look great! They also installed some underground drainage so there are no offputting drain pipes jutting out from my house, like most houses. The paved path he did down the side of my house looks great too. And he made smart decisions when issues came up. A wierd bush next to my house. A wierdly placed drip line that was watering weeds. Making those smart decisions as a professional is what I appreciate. He's a rock star for what he does.

I wouldn't be so critical of this vendor except that all the other Angie's List reviews went on about how responsive he was so I thought it important to add a small note of caution. I can understand him not wanting to serve us due to the distance or his being too busy but then he should have refused on the first call or promptly called back to decline.

After all the rain we had, it was difficult to receive a phone call, let alone make an appointment. Henry returned my call very quickly, and we set up an appointment for a free estimate. It was at the end of the week, and the appointment was for the following Monday. We set the work to be done at the end of May (about two-three weeks). Other companies contacted said it would be the end of July before they could get to it. A neighbor of ours came over to ask Henry for a bid. Their house was more of an immediate concern, so Henry rearranged his schedule, and started work on both of the houses the very next day! He did this out of concern and compassion. We are very pleased with the work that his Company performed.

Henry was fantastic! All the work was done with exceptional quality and finished in just two days. Henry arrived on time and on the day he said he would start! Overall very pleased with the project he performed for me. I would highly recommended him to family or friends! I know who to call if I have any future landscaping needs!

Henry was very responsive and never late with an apt or returning a call. However, I was disappointed with the result of my patio. His team tore up the old one and laid the new one. The size was what I asked for and the stamped pattern looked great, but the fault lines (not sure what they are called) that are placed for future cracks were ALL crooked. I called him and he came right out and told me those are supposed to be there. I spent five minutes trying to explain that they weren't straight and he assured me it would 'look good'. Against my better judgment let him finish. The next day I came home and it was finished and stained and the lines looked the same and since I could now walk down to the patio it looked even worse than I first thought. A few days later I took a picture showing one of the lines and drew a chalk line where it was supposed to be and he admitted that his guys shouldn't have done me like that. When I asked if he had any ideas on how to fix it and if he was worried about his reputation because friends were telling me it didn't look right. He pretty much told me there was nothing he could do because it was dried and I should have told him I didn't like the design before they finished. To this day, I'm still not sure if he knows what I was saying. He was acting like I didn't like the design and it was as if he didn't see anything at all wrong. I think he did notice and didn't want to take the extra time and money to fix it because it should have been obvious at the time it was done. It ruined the aesthetic. I had and still do have a lot going on and don't want to fight this battle anymore. I am including pictures. You can judge for yourself. What appears to be an optical illusion isn't. That's the direction the lines run which is a shame because aside from this issue, it looks great.The sidewalk and the work he did on the rock bed had no problems.

The backyard looks amazing now! Henry was extremely professional, competent, honest and reliable. He even made appointments for me on the weekend (Sunday) because my schedule was impossible. He and his crew were quick, courteous and very clean. Every day after they worked, things were picked up and put away. I'm really proud of my backyard now and it is all thanks to Natural Landscaping and Design. Highly recommend!

I called Henry in late May and he promptly came by the house to see what we wanted done. I solicited a number of bids for the same project and Henry's was the most reasonable. I felt that he did a very good job of trying to understand what we wanted and offered some helpful suggestions as well. This was much appreciated.When we decided to go with NLD, I called Henry to inform him. He came back out to the house as we finalized everything. He asked for a deposit, which we paid, and said that he was booked into August, but that this was a small enough job that things could always open up in the mean time. This was around the third week of June, and we were fine with that timeline and expecting it based on our previous discussions.We were pleasantly surprised when about a week later Henry called early on a Saturday morning and asked if they could come do the job that day and the next. We said of course, that would be fine. He had a crew of about three men working in our yard. They were very kind and worked very hard, especially in the heat. This section of the yard faces east so they got all the morning sun. The first day they were able to clear all the weeds, get a trench dug for the downspout and bury it, carve out a path for the stepping pavers, and put down all the fabric. On Sunday they came back to finish up. The crew ensured the pavers were stable and laid down all the rock. This was no easy feat as they had to use wheelbarrows to access the back yard. They were done before 2pm on Sunday.The rocks completely transformed the look of our backyard and we are extremely happy with the final results, not to mention the communication throughout the entire process. The fact that it was done WAY ahead of schedule is simply a bonus. I would not hesitate at all to recommend NLD to others.

Henry was easy to get in touch with, very punctual, and very competitive in his bid for the work he did for us. His crew was neat and tidy, and everything was picked up and straightened at the end of the day when the job was complete. We have already talked to Henry about doing some additional work with tree planting in the fall and we would recommend his services without hesitation to anyone needing lawn or landscape work.

Henry, Removed about 9 smaller to medium sized trees and over 20 old overgrown shrubs. Removed 2 large evergreens and an old broken down , Split rail fence. Ground down the stumps , getting ready ready for landscaping in the spring Did not ask for, but got a total yard leaf racking and removed all the debris in one day. He also trimmed the remaining shrubs and rose bushes . Couldn't be happier.

Henry is a likeable, easy to get along with guy. He responds promptly to all requests. His is a good company worth hiring!

I called NLD and left a message on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. Henry returned my call in one hour and gave me an appointmenht for the next day at 10 a.m. On Wednesday, he arrived right on time. After listening to what I wanted to be done, he gave me a written estimate for the project on the spot. The very next day at 8 a.m. Henty came back with two men. He brought 2 tons of rock mulch, dirt and four 5-gallon shrubs which I had selected from his catalog the day before. Henty and his crew worked very hard non-stop for 6 hours and completed the project. The results are beyond my expections. I would recommend Natural Landscaping & Design to others and definitely consider hiring them for future work. 1) Re-sloping: They removed existing rock mulch along the foundation of the house, cleaned them by blowing off mud, which had accumulated in the mulch bed over the years, turning the rocks over and over again. They packed dirt so that water will drain away from the house where rainwater had eroded the ground. After proper preparation of the ground, they returned the old mulch and added new rockmulch on top. 2) Landscaping: I had a problem area along the fence in the back. The tree service crew I hired in September removed my huge 40-year-old tree. They ground the root 6" below ground level, covered the hole with mixture of lots of groud up woodchips and existing rock mulch making a large ugly mound. Henry and his crew thoroughly cleaned out the woodchips from the mound, removed three old junipers, added new rock mulch, leveled the mulch bed and planted the shrubs. The area looks so nice and clean now.

Henry was very prompt and throughout during the initial consultation. He and his crew did a wonderful job installing the landscaping and patio. I would highly recommend them. They were also very reasonably priced. Other quotes for the same service came in 10% - 25% higher.

Every appointment I have had with Henry, the owner, was on time. I had some additional questions after our first meeting, and he came out a second time. It was easy to schedule with them. Henry and his crew were a little short handed during the actual job, so the it took an extra day, but I was not inconvenienced, and did not have to be present for the extra day. Everything was done according to the plan and budget. After the work was complete, the job site was left very clean and in order. The new lawn is doing well, and the irrigation zone functions very well. I would recommend them to others, and would definitely consider them for future work.

Henry is very professional and does what he says he'll do. All work was done in two days. He even added in some services at no additional cost too. They were very quiet and efficient. My wife was at home and hardly knew they were there. He is also very responsive and answered all my calls.

Henry is a rockstar! He came to the appointment for consultation on-time and quoted the job on the spot, something no other company could do. He and his crew always kept their time commitments, worked hard and cleaned up after each day's work. Everything turned out as promised and on budget. I am totally pleased with the work that Natural Landscaping and Design did for me and I will use Henry & his crew again without hesitation.

They arrived at the time they were scheduled & worked very hard - despite the heat. They took a very brief lunch and stayed until the job was done.

Henry's estimate was the second best. I called a few references and they all came out great. I called Henry the second time, to add the tree removal and drip line extension to the estimate. We worked out the numbers on Friday. He started the work Tuesday morning with 3 workers. They were well organized, well prepared and very hard workers. Knocked the whole job (plus more) by Wednesday. Towards the middle of the job, a confusion about what was included in the estimate surfaced. Needless to say we worked out the difference. At the end, I was really please with the quality of work too! Henry (and his crew) not only did the job well, they went way above and beyond. I'll use them again and will recommend them to any landscaping job, small or big!

They did the weekly moving, But they didn't clean up real well. I had mulch in my lawn, from them going over the mulch to get to the lawn. I felt they should have raked the mulch out of the lawn when they were finished.

After our initial meeting when I gave Henry the deposit, we agreed for work to start on a Monday. He was there early with a coworker, even before I had gotten out of bed. He swiftly measured the area and installed the foundation. Tuesday he had to work his lawn business, so he could not come. However, he was back again on Wednesday with a couple of workers to complete the job. That day was spent cutting the stone to size so that the areas between the stones was pretty even. He recommended not to walk on the edge of the patio for a few days so that the foundation would have time to dry and adhere to the stone. Also, he advised on the carefull placing of furniture so that the legs would be on the stone rather on the dirt between the stones, for stablizing. Henry was very conscientous, courteous, and efficient.
