Where do I begin? We’ve been fighting with Logistic Pro for months without any satisfaction. I’ve filed as many complaints as I could - BBB, Interstate Commerce Commission, Visa. Nothing worked - very sad situation but I take responsibility because I trusted the reviews on Angie’s List and Home Advisor. The reviews were great and the company advertised a no haggle, no change final price upfront - that is what hooked me because I was wary about companies changing the price after they had my belongings. The initial walk through with Freddy was fine - we were doing a partial self pack move with us boxing up everything that could fit into boxes and Logistic Pro doing the big items. Freddy had great reviews as well. The nightmare began on moving day. Instead of a full crew showing up at 8 in the morning, no one showed up at all until 10am. Then, Freddy and 2 other guys showed up. Freddy said the rest of the crew was tied up on another job but would be there by noon. The 2 remaining workers started getting items ready to load and worked hard for hours by themselves because no one else showed up until 6pm. The crew began loading items and before long it was obvious they were not going to be able to get all our belongings on a single truck - which was promised. Now the plan was to load our belongings onto a truck and then later offload everything onto a larger truck with 3 other families’ belongings for the trip to Florida. This had me nervous and for good reason later. Late in the evening Freddy became very agitated because we had “too many boxes”. I don’t know what he was expecting because he had inspected the house beforehand and knew what we had. He also didn’t say anything when the main crew started loading at 6pm. Only around 10pm did Freddy all of a sudden get angry about the number of boxes. He was yelling at me in front of my wife and workers. I let him know exactly how I felt about his outburst. The crew ran out of space around midnight and said they would be back at 8 the next morning to finish up. They showed up around 10am with a new foreman, not Freddy. The boss, Johnny, called around noon and started to say they were going to charge more money when I cut him off and reminded him that they had quoted a no change price, which he eventually agreed to. We finally got on the road about 3pm, way behind our schedule and had to drive until 2am to reach our pre-paid hotel for the evening. The original plan had been a “straight through move”, where the truck would leave our house and drive straight through to our new home with just our belongings on it. What happened instead was Logistic Pro put our belongings on another truck with 3 other customers’ stuff and didn’t show up until 17 days later. When they did show up the foreman, Andre, informed me that they couldn’t get an 18 wheeler into our cul-de-sac and were going to have to offload everything onto a smaller truck and make 2 trips. Oh - yeah, there was going to be another $1450 charge for this and they weren’t going to move anything unless I paid him right now in cash. BTW - this was in the fine print in the contract (I had missed it). Since we were being held hostage I had no choice but to get the cash and pay Andre off. They started the offload and brought items 8nto the house so fast I did not have a chance to mark off on the inventory sheet what had been brought in, so I had no idea what was missing. They finished about 11pm and we were all exhausted but it was finally over - or was it? The next day we began to notice things were missing. We started to write these down when I got a call from Andre, the foreman, saying they had an irreplaceable antique Belgian china hutch top, a shop wet-vac and some other items still on their truck but they had continued on their delivery run to south Florida (we’re in the Panhandle). Andre said they would return our missing belongings on the return trip as they only did runs between Florida and Colorado. Well - our belongings never showed up. I called Andre and he said I had to call the company. The company never answered the phone and never returned my calls. I started making complaints and finally got a call from Johnny asking me what they could do. I told how about returning my belongings. He told me they were gone forever but what would it take to satisfy me. BTW - they only pay .60 per pound for the things they destroy or “lose”. End to the story - they never gave me a dime and just blew me off. I reversed the initial credit card charge for the down payment and they even got that cancelled. Bottoms line - NEVER use this company. They will even steal your belongings and get away with it. It’s taken months to try to move on from this nightmare. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.
