Excellent. VERY impressed! I've been through remodeling before but nothing this good from start to finish! Discussed my ideas, had blueprints, signed contract and we were off and running. Any/all questions I had were addressed, suggestions offered, changes implemented. Communication was great - Jessie handles all scheduling and ensures that the right contractors and/or supplies were here as needed. If I had any questions or concerns I would email, call or text her and she handled everything! They put a lock box on the house so they could come and go as needed. I always felt very comfortable leaving the house at any time while their crews were working here - they would lock up when they left. I am just really impressed by how easy this process was and how REALLY nice the basement turned out! I've heard lots of horror stories and met people in the stores when I was picking out finishes that had hired contractors that had been working for over a year on their project and still weren't done! I have neighbors who were watching the progress by what contractor was here - these neighbors are project managers and they were extremely impressed by the organization and scheduling! They have just come over for a tour and were extremely impressed over the quality of work and the timeframe in which it was completed! Joseph Hannah Sr will come out and take a look at your "vision" then he will come back within 2 weeks with costs and a blueprint - all free. They beat the industry standards on costs, normally finish projects within 8 weeks and have tons of awards and recognition for the job they do! SUPERB is the best way to describe the team at JH basements. All around this team was a pleasure to work with on my basement project. I finished just over 1,500 SF of space in my basement. The quality of workmanship was VERY high. From proposal through to completion, the process was well orchestrated by their project scheduler Jessie Hannah. In addition, the overall construction team from framing, electrical, plumbing and finishing (walls, paint, trim, etc.) were all excellent. Most importantly they were respectful of my house when entering and exiting each day and they kept the workspace as clean as possible. They also kept on target to the proposed scheduled timeframe to finish my basement and I passed every building inspection on the first pass. I would recommend the team at JH basement to anyone. I consistently receive compliments on how beautiful and well done my basement looks. Anytime I hear of someone contemplating a basement project I quickly throw out JH Basements as someone to consider. They are FANTASTIC!

My husband and I hired JH Basement a little over two years ago and we were really impressed! Last week we had a problem with our toilet so we called Joe. Within 24 hours Joe had his plumber at our home. And even though there was a manufacturing issue with the toilet, Joe didn’t charge us anything to fix it! We are just as impressed today with JH Basement than the day we hired them!

My wife and I discussed finishing our basement for a few years but it always ended up on the back burner. That had to change at beginning of this year. My father became ill and we needed to move him into our home to care for him. It became clear rather quickly that we needed to finish our basement to accommodate this change. We called several companies to get estimates and JH Basement was among them. The bids we got all came in pretty close to each other but we ultimately decided to hire Joe. When he came to our home he listened to our concern of urgency with my father moving in. He gave us great insight on how to best utilize our space with someone needing care. After signing the contract, Joe was great at communicating with us where we were at in the process, and what contractors to expect. There was not a single contractor that came to our home that portrayed anything less than the professionalism that Joe had on day one! I was able to get my father settled in sooner than we expected and we could not have done that without Joe and his team! My husband and I bought our home this time last year and it needed some serious work. We had several contractors out to give us estimates but it was a big job and being a newly married couple spending close to $50,000 didn't seem like the most responsible move. We were talking to our neighbor and she couldn't stop signing the praises of JH Basement Finish. Although complete home remodel is not what this company typically does, I called to see if they would come out and give us an estimate because I just loved the work they did for our neighbor. Joe came out and was very nice. He walked the job with us, talked through our ideas and discussed our concerns. I told Joe we were hesitant on spending $50,000 and we were going back and forth on the idea. He told us we would not be spending $50,000 but rather investing it in our new home. We signed the contract with JH Basement the next day and could not be happier with that decision! Joe was great to work with! He kept us informed on what subcontractors would be out and when. All of his subcontractors were kind, courteous and very professional. Joe has an amazing group of individuals that work for him and they all do incredible work. Our job included, popcorn ceilings taken down, old carpet torn out, kitchen cabinetry and tile taken out, bedroom walls moved, vaulted the kitchen ceiling, bathtubs and toilets removed, new texture and paint throughout the home, new carpet, new tile floors, new cabinetry, and granite tops in the kitchen and bathrooms. JH Basement Finish did such a great job and stayed on schedule! My husband and I have since decided to refinance our home. We had our home appraised last week and it came in valued at $60,000 more than what we bought it for last year, and our investment with JH Basement was $53,000. Joe was right when he told us we were not spending our money but rather investing it! I could not be happier with the decision we made to hire JH Basement Finish!

My husband and I hired JH Basement Finish Company and it was an amazing decision! Joe and his team were amazing every step of the way! They were very friendly and professional! JH basement came highly referred by a neighbor who had recently had their basement finished by them. My wife and I were completely and quot;wowedand quot; by the work that was done in our neighbor's basement and we knew we had possibly found the right contractor for our basement project. Our initial impression of Joe was great! Joe showed up at our house on-time with a great attitude and creatively walked us through all the options to consider for the best layout of the basement. Almost immediately we agreed on a perfect layout for the best use of the space, with great options my wife and I never thought of. Joe came off as very honest and straight forward and never once used and quot;pushyand quot; type sales tactics. Joe gave us a ballpark quote for the total job and guaranteed to have a computer generated layout of the basement along with a more detailed quote within a day or two. We met with Joe a couple of days after our initial visit and reviewed the excellent computer generated layout as promised, with several other options and upgrades to consider. Joe's prices seemed very fair and my wife and I were eager to get started. Joe's team showed up in force on the agreed contract start date and within moments, hammers were swinging! Joe and his sons were excellent to work with and all the sub-contractors were top notch (many of whom have been working with Joe for more than 15 years). After initial framing was started we decided on a few changes and without hesitation Joe made it happen. Joe spent the time needed to ensure that all the finishes were exactly what we wanted, and was more than patient with several more requested changes as the project progressed. We are incredibly pleased with the finished result of our basement and we have received numerous compliments from house guests as well. In the end, we ended up with a great theater/multipurpose room with built in projector screen and speakers, wet bar and bathroom with many custom finishes, additional kids play area, and sizable guest bedroom. My wife and I researched basement remodeling companies for approximately two years before we both retired from our jobs. The research was extensive because we had a tight budget to work with. Our house was built in 1963 with a finished basement. We wanted to modernize our home with up to date electrical wiring and plumbing that would accommodate a wet bar and added shower to an existing half bath plus all the modern day electronics for our grandchildren. We finally narrowed our search down to three well established and reputable contractors. After checking references and reading reviews from many, many customers on Angie's List and other sites, we decided to contract with JH Basement Finish company. The first time we met and discussed our refinishing plans with Joe Hannah Sr. we knew his company was the one we wanted to work with. Joe doesn't typically work with finished basement projects because of the unknowns and surprises that could exist behind the finished walls. But, much to our pleasure Joe decided to move forward with our remodeling project. Joe put together a design and cost estimate and after a few adjustments a contract was signed. After the complete tear out of the basement there were a few surprises hiding behind some of the walls but Joe made some recommendations, adjusted the design and cost estimate and continued with building our new basement. Joe's two sons, Joe Jr. and Paul were great to work with. Both were knowledgeable with the skills they have and very courteous to us throughout the process. We asked lots questions (maybe too many) about what or why something was being done and they always took the time to explain the work to us. We were so impressed with their knowledge, skills and abilities that we decided to have some additional remodeling done to the main floor of the house...all the doors replaced with new hardware, a wall replaced along with newly textured walls throughout, painting and a few extras thrown in here and there. Joe Sr. and his sons never missed a beat. They added the extra work at a fair and reasonable price and stayed on schedule and finished the project as agreed. All the subcontractors used by JH Basement Finish were also very skilled and professional in their work. It was a pleasure meeting and working with all of them. There were some delays from time to time because of bad weather, but the job was still completed on time. The bottom line, it was an absolute pleasure doing business with JH Basement Finish and personally with Joe Sr., Joe Jr., Paul and all their subcontractors. I will definitely recommend their services to anyone with a remodeling job in mind.

My husband and I hired Joe and his crew to do some remodel work on our townhome a little over a year ago. We were so pleased with their professionalism, price and hard work that we hired them to finish our basement in our new home this year. We have a 1000 square foot basement that we knew we wanted to be an entertainment space but we weren’t sure how to design it. Joe came over, heard what we were hoping to get out of the space and then drew up a plan that exceeded what we thought possible for our basement (including an additional exterior door for our walkout which added tons of light and made the inside flow to the outside maximizing our entertainment space). We were thrilled with the design and Joe and his guys started right away. 7 weeks later our basement was complete with fireplace, family room, game room, work out space, wet bar and full bath- we love it! I highly recommend Joe. He was on time, professional and true to the contract. If we ever need work done on the house Joe will be the first one we call.

Joe came to our house and with the information that we provided him he drew up an excellent floor plan that far exceeded what we had imagined. The framing, drywall, and plumbing were well done. He even threw in a few extras during the project including permanently mounting my entertainment center in the wall and placing a granite top on it that matched the granite in the wet bar area and the two downstairs bathrooms. Joe even subcontracted my son to remodel the two upstairs bathrooms including tiling, wainscoating and custom made pans for the showers in both upstairs bathrooms. He also paid my son to do most of the punch list items at the end of the project. Joe's two son's did all of the framing. His other subcontractors were professional and did good work. Any minor complaints that there might be are not worth mentioning. All problems were corrected and we are very happy with the finished project. Joe is a Christian man with high ethics. I would recommend that you give him the chance to do your project.

Joe and his team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We had a ranch style home with an unfinished basement. The space was only partially dug out so the square footage to work with was small but Joe didn't hesitate to come out and meet with us. He was very professional, friendly, and helpful in giving us ideas on how we could best use the space. After taking measurements he came back the next visit with his design and quote for the job. We even decided to alter the original plan he drew up by keeping more storage space and Joe was very flexible in re-working his design. Joe's two sons did a lot of the framing and they were great guys as well. All of the people that came in i.e. electrician, plumbing, drywall, etc were very courteous and hard working. We were anticipating quite a bit of disruption and noise during the project but actually we hardly noticed the work was being done. I would highly recommend J.H. Basement and Joe personally to anyone looking to finish their basement area.

Our experience with JH Basement Finish was very positive. The basement looks fantastic! During the project, which took about 8 weeks, communication was good, and we experienced no real issues. Anything small that we called to the attention of Joe or his team was addressed immediately and to our satisfaction. The disruption to our home and family was minimal, and the construction area was kept clear of debris. We knew up-front where our extra costs would be, and those items that were quoted during the original contract and upgrade discussion were not wavered from, unless we initiated the request. I can recommend Joe Hannah and JH Basement Finish without reservation.

Joe Hannah is the best. My complex project in the basement included a bar, sauna, bedroom and large entertainment area. All work was finished in a timely fashion and to my complete satisfaction. He and his crew even helped move the mail ordered futon down to the basement. He worked hard to find good value on cabinets without sacrificing on design and quality. He even suggested installing a cat door so the cats could get to their boxes without having to go through the finished part of the basement. Everyone who sees my basement is extremely impressed with the beauty and design. Joe is an honest contractor and is true to his word. I would use him again, and recommend him unconditionally. .

Before choosing JH I researched several other contractors and found Joe?s work was the best quality for the money. We called several of his references and even went over and viewed their basements. We made several design changes along the way and Joe was very helpful in guiding us through the process. His workers were all very qualified and did excellent craftsmanship. I especially liked the tile and granite work done and found it to be outstanding quality work! We did a theatre seating entertainment area, bedroom,bathroom, and full bar area. We even used his carpet company to finish our entire home. Joe was always available to come over and discuss any concerns and changes to the project. He was good at communicating when work was to be done, what to expect along the way, and a completion date. He helped keep us on track on our budget also which was a plus! My husband and I hired JH basement to finish our basement last month. We are thrilled with their work. We have even joked about moving completely into the basement because we love it more than our upstairs, Their good faith estimate was dead on, they were on time, very friendly and professional and even built an entertainment center beyond what we pictured. I have heard many horror stories about contractors and to honest was worried to allow someone in my home for weeks at time. I was bold enough to share this with the contractor and he was very sensitive to the issue. They loaded all the materials through our basement window to ensure my carpet wouldn't have an additional ware and tare. They even used our walk out entrance instead of our front entrance to give us more privacy. I have never heard of a contractor being so accommodating. Even the contractors sons were professional. It really is a wonderful family business. We never heard them working and were even able to freely entertain friends while they were working. The lockbox on the door was nice too because we didn't have to be home for them to work. Overall I am quite impressed with this business and they even finished a week early which I have never heard of! My husband and I hope to move to our dream home in the next few years and JH basement will be one of our first phone calls.

My wife and I recently had our basement finished by JH Basement Finish and were pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. The work was completed in the amount of time agreed to and the cost was exactly as contracted except that we added a few items during construction which Joe was more than willing to accommodate the change orders. The basement was kept clean and Joe and his sons (this is a family business) could not have been nicer to work with. The communication was good and although there was a lock box on the door so that we did not need to be home for workers to arrive, Joe always kept us informed as to what the next step would be. I would highly recommend JH basement Finish to anyone looking to have their basement finished. The work was completed with a real eye for detail and we love entertaining friends in this new area.

Contractor did not call or show up on committed start date and I had to call to find out when to expect them as they had no placed a lockbox on the house to gain access yet. After committing to be there first thing two days later, they arrived at noon. Contract was for 6 weeks, it took 7.5 weeks and we did not get everything done as guaranteed. Our stairwell banister was patched together with a piece that is not the same circumference as the original banister. The drywall around one window extends past the window frame, changes to the plan were made without our consent and we had to petition to get them changed back. Cabinets in our wet bar were not set level so there is unsightly gaps around our under counter fridge. More often than not we had to leave voicemails or text and wait several hours for responses. On one occasion we had to go to home depot in the middle of the work day to get a bathroom faucet as one was not given to the granite sub contractor for the granite to be drilled and cut so we weren't going to get a faucet unless one was provided that day. A schedule of work was never provided despite requests. Never knew who to expect or when in our home and often people wouldn't show up for days at a time. No efforts were made to provide protection over our upstairs flooring surfaces as promised so we now have drywall mud in our carpet upstairs. Contractor threatened legal action when we asked for credits for the aforementioned faucet and other items that were to have been provided. Only after another disgruntled client found my reviews on Yelp and told the contractor about them, did the company make efforts to return our requests for repairs of outstanding items.
