I pride myself in hi quality, clean workers, clean work site, taking care of peoples homes as if it were my own, and giving the home owner a better job and design then they thought was possible. Attention to detail is number 1 with me. Timing, watching for cost saving ideas are important too

I get occasional mail telling me George has once again bankrupted and asking if I'd like to make a claim in court. Interesting to see the name of the business has once again changed. When this project was finished the work done was actually a little better than average. The timeline was over schedule by about 4 months, there were subs that were not paid (I had to settle as my house was under a lien), and we were over budget by about 24%. Make sure you get a detailed contract and lien waiver if using this contractor.
Description of Work: Remodeled an 1100 sq ft house.
After doing a good job on the first phase of our house renovation project (separate report), we selected George to perform the second phase of the project. Based on ideas from an architect, George helped finalize the final design, including some good suggestions for fixtures and doorways which ultimately enhanced the final outcome a great deal. George and his crew are adaptable, handling the inevitable problems which arise with old houses. George suggested some "upgrades" during the project (rewiring the electrical while we had access to the attic, additional interior painting), which we accepted and which enhanced the overall project. George and crew worked well with other contractors who were also onsite at the same time, and worked especially hard to clean up at the end of each day, to reduce the dust and chaos. I appreciate George's experience, quality subcontractors, attention to detail, creativity with solutions, and attention to keeping costs under control. We look forward to working with George in the future.

We selected George Hermelink as the general contractor for the first phase of renovation for my old (1885) house. Based on drawings & ideas from an architect, George helped finalize the final project, including some clever suggestions for improving function, aesthetics and cost. After agreeing to a final proposal and price, George lined up the appropriate subcontractors and performed the work in good time. The work quality is good, and the crew generally performed professionally, and the work was completed in an acceptable amount of time. George was able to adapt to the inevitable challenges which show up while working on an old home, and coordinated on the tasks which I performed directly. While the project was underway, George was responsive and accessible. Problems and issues which arose during the project were minor, and were addressed quickly and professionally. We were happy with the final results, and asked George to perform the second phase of our renovation project, which also went well (separate report).
