+ -1 moreThe Good Part; price is VERY affordable, running $20 per hour with good bids for long and large scale work that takes several days. Quality is VERY good to excellent with rapid completion of work. Skinner does not tarry to prolong the work period for the hourly price. He does it quickly to go to the next part and is very flexible in negotiating a fair price for large scale work that will require an assistant. The Bad Part; With a working spouse, he will be consistently late as a result of setting up his kids with child care. Like many younger men, the previous late night party will get him out of bed later in the morning. Expect the work day to start at 9:30 or 10:00 AM. But once he starts, that issue becomes moot in light of rapid efficiency, quality of work, price, and is still well worth it. Excluding the late stats and arrivals that typified every work session, he would rate an A to A+
Description of Work: I have contracted with Eric Skinner on 3 prior occasions; carpentry, drywall, plumbing, electrical, exterior house painting. Price of service is a very affordable $20 per hour with rapid completion, essentially perfect outcome and high level of professionalism. He started last year with an install of attic fans, followed by a series of repairs on a flood damaged basement that required an extensive rebuild, some drywall repairs, switching out locks, plumbing and some basic electrical work. Largest job was a complete exterior house painting job that looked very good, got good positive feedback from the neighbors, and ran about 1/3 to 1/2 the price estimates of the professional companies. He makes suggestions per cheapest cost source for best quality of materials on some of the larger jobs and completed very quickly and efficiently. Quality of all work was consistently good to very good. Eric Skinner is a craftsman with some evident talent and pride.
