Description of Work: I had a 2:00 PM appointment for a window estimator to measure and quote windows at my investment property. They didn't show up at all. I called Home Depot's customer service dept as referenced on my appointment sheet and they tried to help, but were not able to explain what happened. I spent 1/2 hr driving to the property, waited over an hour for them to arrive, and never heard back from customer service or the window estimator. So I spent over 2 hours of my time plus travel expense and was not given the courtesy of any explanation. I stopped in the Home Depot store where I made the appointment. They said they have an outside sales department that handles their window quotes, and they were not able to give me an explanation either.

Description of Work: Our dog tore our blinds off the living room windows. I went to Home Depot and talked with Wendy in window treatments....she's great. Home Depot does not do shutters specifically, but they refer you to a dealer of Norman Shutters. Here is the story: We just moved into our new home in Centennial, CO. Our windows all have cheap wood blinds. One day while I was away our dog pulled and chewed to pieces all of the blinds in the living room. What a mess! Well, we decided to put up shutters as they are the only window treatments that actually add value to your home. Plus, they have superior energy features. I called in four representatives/designers. The quotes ranged from $1100 to $5000. All of the products were of the same material....a non-wood. For me, price is second to rapport with the designer. If I can't work with someone, forget it. I went with a dealer for Norman shutters. Norman shutters are the representatives for Home Depot. Since Home Depot just refers you to Duratex, there is no tax on the product!!! The "Shutter Specialist," Corby Grant, was excellent. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and skilled at decorating. He took time to look at my house and the style of my decorating. Together, we chose the style and type of shutters. Corby came in with all types of samples. It was easy to make a decision, and I had no buyer's remorse, regrets, or questions wondering if I'd made the right choices. We added 3 shutters in the bay window of our living room and one large shutter in our dining room. We decided to do all the windows on the first floor of the front of the house so the house would look balanced from the street. We also went with the Norman brand shutters because the company has been around for many years and is unlikely to go out of business, so when we want to replace our blinds with the same shutters, we won't have any problems. Also, what also helped with the price: we caught a sale. Apparently, they have sales a couple times/year.

Description of Work: We are redoing our basement. We have been in to pick up a multitude of supplies over the past year as we have done this project. We created a bedroom, bathroom and a media room in our basement. The basement was totally unfinished prior to this project.

Description of Work: Purchased supplies for home project, repairing motor home for winter stay in Minnesota. The winter months temperatures were expected to be below 20 degrees and the motor home is not designed for those extreme temperatures. We had to prepare by inserting water pipe warming devises and water pump warming tape to keep the system from freezing. Having done this, the water holding tank and the water pump did not freeze, in below freezing temperatures with wind chill factors that sent it down to zero degrees.

Description of Work: We purchased and installed flooring from Home Depot, the work was excellent. They were prompt in their replies to our questions and gave us options to complete portions of the work on our own to save some money. The installers were friendly and did their work quickly. The installer that came out for the bid made a mistake in guessing that their was not a sub-floor underneath our carpet, so the work took a little longer than expected but they did not charge us extra for labor. We are thrilled with our floor.
