Grandma's Handyman Service, Inc.

Very prompt reponse to initial inquiry and then service was scheduled shortly thereafter. Handyman performing the work was very professional and quicky finished the variety of tasks he was asked to perform.

This is the third time we have used Grandma's Handyman Service. Their repairman, Mike arrived on-the-dot each time at the scheduled time. He repaired down fencing, replaced posts, corrected gates and dug new holes for metal posts in three different instances. These repairs were for a small, self-managed 26 unit HOA complex. On a lark, we got an Angie's membership to assist us in finding vendors. I called several before deciding on Grandma's. The office dispatchers were friendly, courteous and helpful in meeting our needs. A minor rescheduling issue was resolved immediately. I wish more service vendors were as easy to work with. Mike, Grandma's selected handyman, was thorough, detailed and did exactly as promised.

This was exactly what I wanted in a handyman service. They were friendly in setting up the appointment and communicative about what to expect. The handyman, Michael, was on time, friendly, and prepared for our list (we gave it to them when we set up the appointment). He made suggestions in a helpful way - not at all pushy, but informed. For instance, I had assumed we would have to get our battered screen door replaced, but he managed to repair it - it looks great and he saved us the cost of a new door. We also had a few minor changes to the list (one small thing went away, two small things added) and he handled the changes gracefully. A few hours after he had left, we had a question about one of the repairs and called the service. Michael called us back within minutes even though he was off duty, and had us sorted out right away. This company is completely responsive and customer-service oriented. All in all, this was a low-stress, low hassle experience for us and we are going to call Grandma's every time we need a handyman from now on.

I was walked through who and what to expect the day of service and got a reminder call the day before. As promised, Chris was at my house before 8 am. He worked steadily the whole day--not a drop of paint anywhere (and moved 2 beds that I couldn't in order to paint). Chris didn't think either door would need replaced (yay!) and installed some new whiz bang weather stripping to the front door and repaired the garage door and installed an additional dead bolt there. We are thrilled with the work that was done and that we have this new resource available to me.

Both jobs went very well. We highly recommend Grandma's Handyman Service. Grandma called us to hear the scope of the jobs and sent exactly the right person to do the jobs!

Michael arrived on time and was very professional. He showed me how to adjust the motion senor lights that he installed. I would absolutely hire him again.

Grandma's handyman was very easy to work with. I needed someone fairly quickly and they were able to meet my time constraints. They showed up on time and completed the work very quickly.

We had Michael R. Pitts both times, and he was fantastic. Fair in price, fixed all the issues we hired him for efficiently ,and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend him as a "jack of all trades" from Grandma's Handyman service!

Excellent he was in and out the door in 3 hours and I'm very pleased with the results.

ED did an excellent job patching holes and replacing screens :) Respectful and courtous to me. I would defintely ask for his service again, :)

Michael was polite, on time, and worked very fast. The price was less than his original estimate, which I thought was a little high, but I'm sure they estimate on the high side. He explained the charges to me which I appreciated and was very professional throughout the entire job. Overall I was very pleased and would hire him again for more work if needed.

Bill did excellent work, but I was disappointed in Barb, the lady that took my info over the phone. She did not tell Bill the details, which I gave very explicitly, so he didn't have a nail gun w/ him. He said he didn't know I had my own wood and had requested the workman bring a nail gun. He thought the shelves I had might be wire shelves. As a consequence, it took him longer to install and cost me more money. I called later to let the owner know what happened, and she offered to give me a rebate equal to the 1/2 hr. of extra labor. I told here next time I used their company I would request that credit.

We chose Grandma's Handyman because they consistently show up on Angie's List.

The handyman was pleasant and showed up on time. There were a couple of small issue with the doggy door installation, but "Grandma" bent over backwards to make sure I was satisfied with the experience. I will use them again~ thank you for the excellent customer service!

Everything about this service went as well as it could possibly go! On Monday morning, I called Grandma and she is so friendly and sounds like she really wants to help! I told her that we have a couple of leaking windows and that we would like to have someone come to caulk around ALL of the windows of our house. We made an appointment for Thursday at 8am, and Bill arrived right on time! He introduced himself , we verified the job, and off he went to work. When he finished he asked me outside to tell me about what was really going on with the windows, which was not a caulking probliem... Anyway, he explained that I needed more gutter added to above the leaking windows as well as cap flashing and trim to at least the leaking windows. Bill looked at each window and said that he didn't want to waste our money caulking, when that wasn't really the issue. I felt very comfortable that Bill was correct and honest in his assessment of our situation. I called Grandma that afternoon, and we set up another appointment for 10 days later to have Bill install the flashing and trim and then paint the trim. I will update as soon as that work is complete.Thanks Grandma!Thanks Bill!

I called & told Barb that my husband was coming home from the hospital the next day. She sent Ed over and he did all the work and cleaned up and it was just an enormous help to us.

They have been doing a great job. The guy Grandma's Handyman sent out was always on time. The price that they gave me for the work they did was good, but the quote they gave me for tile installation was a little too high.

It was great! Grandma was very pleasant to work with in scheduling the appointment, and James was a pleasure to have in my house. I was warned ahead of time that one project I needed done might not be within their ability, but James was able to make it happen for me. He was also great about working around my son, who was in love with his big ladder.

It was great. The new steps are nice.

I purchased a Angie's List coupon for 2 hours worth of service, and submitted the online form requesting to be contacted (did this on a Sunday). We are planning a graduation party in a week, so I really wanted all this done quickly. I received a call from the company the next morning. They were very pleasant to deal with. I explained in detail what I wanted done, and suspected it would take more than 2 hours. Not a problem - they just apply the "coupon" to the full price. We scheduled the work for today, Thursday, less than a week from my original request. They explained who they were sending, what he looked like, and his qualifications. Also that they are fully insured. After some bad experiences, this is huge for us. Bill showed up today, early. He called ahead and explained he'd finished his other job and asked if he should come on over, or did I need him to keep to the appointment time. Bill, come on down! Since talking with them on Monday, I had added to the list (scope creep for all you IT/project people ;-) When Bill arrived I showed him what needed to be done, and he went straight to work. He hung a set of mini blinds and curtain rod/curtains in our spare bedroom, replaced our entry way chandelier, replaced a kitchen light fixture, 2 outdoor security lights, a paper towel holder, replaced the kitchen faucet, and repaired our granite table! And was done in four (yes, 4) hours!! The hourly rate is very reasonable (they also offer senior a discount). For everything Bill accomplished it was a bargain. Bill wasn't even out the door and I was e-mailing co-workers who wanted updates. Yes, they are a great company. Yes, I recommend them. Yes, call and book your appointment today.
