Within a few weeks of job completion cracks began appearing in the garage floor and the adjoining slab of the driveway. Several calls to the owner of GD Concrete were not returned. On two occasions when I reached Geraldo Duran Behena he promised to stop by and look at the cracks but he never showed up or called back to reschedule a visit. Needless to say we are very unsatisfied with the work done and the unfulfilled promises to come look at the problems and suggest a satisfactory resolution.
Description of Work: GD Concrete removed the old concrete garage floor and one adjoining slab from the driveway. Instead of using power tools as they promised, such as masonary saws and jack hammers, they removed all the old concrete with sledge hammers and pry bars. Following removal of the old concrete, rebar was drilled into the garage foundation and remaining slabs of the concrete driveway to add stability to the new concrete. A cement truck then came and poured new concrete. Workers then leveled and floated the concrete before leaving. At this point everything seemed OK..

It could not have gone better. From estimate to completed job in less than three days. Gerardo gave me the estimate on Monday, he and his guys started building the forms on Tuesday and had the concrete poured and finished by Wednesday afternoon. He did exactly what he said he would at exactly the price he quoted me. It may have been a small job but he didn't treat it as such. There were a couple of difficulties in that getting the concrete into the cellar required building a chute so that it could be poured through a small window but he handled it like he'd done it a thousand times. He also came in anywhere from $150 to $2,000(!) less than three other bids I got. Two of those said they'd need to bring in a pump truck to get the concrete into the house but Gerardo said he didn't need one and he was right. That saved at least $500 right there. Very, very pleased with the experience.
Description of Work: I had a small retaining wall built and a 15' x 15' split-level slab poured in my old cellar. Some minor excavation was needed as well.

Gerardo was very eager to do the work, and got it done in a timely manner. I was pleased with the work and the price. He charged $200 for labor, and I bought the bricks at Home Depot for $100.
Description of Work: I called GD Concrete to put in a parking pad for my camper. I had had an estimate for $2100, and GD Concrete said they would do it for $900. Gerardo talked to the city inspector, who said I would have to replace some of my sidewalk, so I decided to wait to do that project. I also wanted a part of my patio bricked in, with curved borders. I had gotten some very expensive estimates, and even had people refuse to cut bricks to make the curves. Gerardo gave me a much lower estimate, and supervised the people who did the work. They laid individual bricks in a pattern we agreed upon.

We tore up the carpet in the basement of our 1930's Denver house and found out that the floor would need to be replaced. After calling several concrete contractors to get an estimate and being told that their schedule was 2-3 weeks out I called GD Concrete. Gerardo came over that evening and gave me an excellent price for replacing the floor. He also said they could start the project the next day. The work crew, some family, came the next morning and by 1:00 had removed all of the old concrete, about 250 sq ft. The cement truck came shortly thereafter and because out the layout of the basement windows, had to hand carry all 2 yards of concrete down into the basement in 5 gallon buckets from the truck parked in the alley. Grandpa finished the project by smoothing the floor. Old concrete was hauled away 2 days later. The only minor negative about the project was the dust created when they had to use a concrete saw to remove some of the old floor. Would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: They tore up and repoured a concrete floor (250 sq ft) in a basement all in the same day.

They had a good price. They were a more typical contracting company and weren't really on time. They did a good job however so if you are patient with them everything will be fine.
Description of Work: They replaced approx. 500 sq. feet of concrete.
