First, the man I originally spoke with was at our house maybe two times. He spoke fluent English and Spanish. The workers spoke no English, except one, and it was literally enough to kind of get by. Anything I would say got a reply of some laughs, as they clearly did not understand all of what I was saying. They suggested colors that I agreed with and the house walls etc., were painted in those colors. Overall, the colors go nicely together, but the quality is poor. We had two large holes in the wall that we asked them to fill and neatly fix. They filled them, charged a lot and painted over the patches. Simply something we could have done, nothing more and certainly no more professional than if we did do it. We hired these people to do a professional job, one that a contractor should be able to do with tools etc., that the average homeowner does not have. Both sections with the holes were painted over and left to look bumpy as if something was under it. One of the holes broke through just last week when the door hit it from our gusty winds...that too should not have happened if it was properly fixed. The walls are patchy, as if they didn't do more than one thin coat. They painted sloppily since we found paint on windows and window seals, ledges and wall outlets. Lines are not as even as they claimed from one wall to another via corners. My other issue was that I speak English as well as some other languages in part. When I live and work here in the United States and send my children to school, I expect to be able to communicate with people in our countries language. I do not feel it is appropriate NOR RESPECTFUL when a company, ANY company or individual, cannot or will not speak to me or around me in my language. I pay handsomely for a project or task to be completed and I want to be able to communicate with the persons doing the job they are being paid for, even if they are not being paid as well as they ought to be by the company employing them, and I'm sure they, being Hispanic, are not being paid as the "white" management or owners. Clearly the men who were here did not care if the job was done well or if I'd be satisfied, especially since I am a woman and when women complain or instruct men to do something, they are called things other than assertive or "in charge". I was just a pretty person to look at when my back was turned. I am disappointed and I feel there is nothing more I can do to either get some compensation or something. Thank you for reading this and hopefully considering looking into this company more thoroughly before agreeing to set them at high standards.

Exceptional service!! We had a succession of afternoon storms the entire week they were scheduled to paint (thunder, lightning, rain, wind hail---love Colorado weather in June!!). With that said, there were 1 or 2 things we noticed when the job was completed that had been missed. We performed a walk around and missed them ourselves on the final day of painting. Minor issues and I am a perfectionist. They responded immediately and addressed the missed items. They were punctual everyday, clean (everyday they picked up all items in the yard, put away ladders and organized paint cans and painting supplies out of sight) and respectful of our home. They were courteous and incredibly professional. This is our 2nd experience with Certain Pro (last year they painted the basement) and I am even more impressed now than I was last year. I will request their services again when we complete our 1st floor remodel and need painting. I am critical by nature and I LOVE this company and this crew!!!!!!

The sales guy showed up on time and was very professional, after that you will no longer hear from anyone except Abraham their site supervisor. The day they were suppose to show up, nobody showed up, no phone call or anything. I had to make several calls after waiting a couple of hours for them to show up before I was told nobody was coming. This was a big deal because we were suppose put our house up for sale by a certain date, and they said they could get it done, which they did not. The next day everyone showed up and knocked out this house, which looks really good. The next problem followed the following day when the guys came out to paint our fence. They ended up having an issue with their sprayer and it sprayed our patio and outdoor furniture with a lot of paint. Instead of telling anyone the guys just packed up and took off like everything was good. My wife and I found their big accident a couple days later and had to make several phone calls for someone to take a look at it. They ended up power washing our patio and take a little money off the bill for furniture to make it right. My biggest issue has been integrity with this company. I would never use again. Update: I noticed there were two trim boards missing paint already along the patio sliding door. The two trim boards were suppose to be replaced per the contract with certapro. After nearly two weeks of asking for someone to come fix it, Abraham their site supervisor showed up. He did not knock and just let himself into the backyard. When I went into the backyard to show him the area losing paint he told me I did the damage and it was not part of the contract. When I showed him the contract he rudely told me he would honor it but was going to charge me for a earlier problem that they took care of that was suppose to be part of the original contract price. He then went into rudely arguing with me about the whole incident for ten minutes. Finally we came to an agreement that he would re-paint the trim and that the company would refund me the $110 they charged me for the trim carpentry work. It has now been over a week and not a word from the company. You would be crazy to hire this unprofessional company.

They quoted me around $3800 but reduced it for us a little bit. I like their customer service and sales personnel. The interaction with the 4 men that came out has been good so far.

This CertaPro office has terrible service. Which is sad, because the work they do is lovely. In the end, my house looks great but I would never recommend this company. They don't answer the phone (very part time office staff), return calls or keep appointments. My promised 4 1/2 day job took approximately 10 days, plus 2 days for finishing touches (I can blame 2 days on weather, but that's it), with only one painter working on my house most of the time. I was promised an English speaking foreman on the job, but I didn't even see him until the day we did the walk around inspection. They put a paint color on my house I didn't get to approve. They left paint on the site that I have to dispose of (not easy). In the end, the owner tried to make good but this was a miserable experience all around. CertaPro is a big company and we didn't expect this from them; other offices may/must have better customer service.

The paint crew was very good at doing their job. Getting a hold of someone in the office was poor. The project was delayed by several days and weather was a factor but I suspect that poor or perhaps over extending their scheduling was also a factor based on the inability to reach someone in the office to discuss the delays. The project start date was 7/10/13 and the finish date was 7/19/13. To be fair, rain delays likely caused backup in the company's scheduled projects and therefore my project, however, it did seem that finishing my project took a backseat in order to try and catch up with other projects. It was explained that the rains caused the need to let painted areas dry or unpainted surfaces to dry before painting and final touch up and that the deck needed to be completely dry before staining. Clean up was only adequate as I found a small amount of crew refuse and equiipment following the final clean up. In the check circles section above, the question, "Would you use this provider in the future?" only provided for a yes or no answer and I checked yes but my preferred answer would be "maybe".

Excellent work - communication needs to improve - would use again

This rating is after one full year of the service being completed. I wanted to comment on the quality of the materials and how they stood after one year. Overall, the company is very professional and the workers completed everything as expected. However, I gave the company a B mostly due to the deck paint quality. The exterior house paint has stood well under the colorado sun. I love the color consultant's choice (Charlotte) and the help she provided on exterior and interior colors. I believe they used Kwal Interior Paint. However, I am a bit disappointed on the deck. After one year the deck did not hold up as well as I expected. I would hate to think that we need to repaint the deck each year, but with the materials they used, we may have to. Not sure what company paint they used on the deck. As for the interior paint, they are extremely professional and took most of the first day just in prepping the rooms. The colors were exactly as expected and I'm glad they were the experts (and I really mean experts) on the scaffolding and not my husband. Lessons learned: 1. Have painting done before adding a new roof. We had the roof completed first and noticed some paint splashes on the lower roof areas. Not many, but noticable from some windows. 2. When having anyone paint the EXTERIOR of your house, make sure you have an agreement on WHERE they can clean their brushes at the end of the day. Update: Today (10/24/11) we are having the same company paint the remaining interior rooms. They are currently prepping the remaining rooms and I will provide feedback on our experience at a later date.

The guys who painted the trim did a good job, however, the overall experience was awful. It took me from 9/11/06 to 11/6/06 to get job completed. Communication was horrible, they didnt come when they said they would, etc. The door still isnt right, but I paid them just to be done with them. Their price was good compared to others, which is why I went with them. I am not sure they were worth the hassle!

Experience was excellent. Certa Pros is very professional. They are friendly, follow up and dont leave a mess behind. Working with them on picking paint colors was fun. We hired them again to stain our exterior fence.

The entire job was completed in one day. CertaPro did a wonderful job. The quality of their work was excellent. Clean-up was complete. Setting up and scheduling the job was easy. Picked out interior colors from a CertaPro suggested paint store. System for picking out colors and notifying CertaPro was simple and straightforward.

VERY PROFESSIONAL. OFFERED A 2-YR. WARRANTY. REASONABLY PRICED. OFFERED ME A LARGE LIST OF REFERENCES. CLEANED UP THE WORK SITE DAILY, AND THE PAINTERS WERE VERY PATIENT EVEN WHEN I CHANGED MY MIND ON THE COLOR OF THE TRIM ON MY HOME.(THIS SET THEM BACK ABOUT TWO HOURS, YET THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME EXTRA.)
