Carpet Connection

Shelley came out to our house and listened to what we wanted to use our space for and then walked through the basement with us. She explained the different types of pad and carpet that she thought would work best to meet our needs and then brought in several different samples for us to look at and feel. There were several price points to choose from and we chose a carpet that was very comparable (looked and felt the same to me!) to one that we had found at one of the big box stores. We had done some and quot;homeworkand quot;, at Shelley's suggestion, and had a price quote from two different big box stores so that we could compare apples to apples. The Carpet Connection price was almost $2000.00 LESS than the other quotes we had received! We selected our installation date and let Shelley handle the rest. It was so stress free and we are thrilled with the results! The installers were very nice and did a great job. We had a lot of carpet installed (1000+ sq. ft.) and they were here the majority of the day. They cleaned up everything and vacuumed the carpet before they left. We have had the carpet for one week and love it! We would recommend Carpet Connection to anyone and we plan to use them again when we need to replace our bedroom carpet.

worked with Anna. She was very friendly, but unfortunately after over a month of runaround we still didn't have our carpet and eventually had to cancel the order, which took a long time to refund. She first came to our house for the initial consultation on 2/5/16. She was very friendly and brought samples for us to choose from and provided a quote for us on the price and an estimate of how long it would take to get the carpet installed. She explained that they work directly with a carpet mill in Georgia, who will ship the carpet to them and then they will have it installed for us once it arrives. I paid for the carpet at that time minus the installation price, which was $1076. Anna called the mill to see if the carpet we selected was in stock and it was, so we set an installation date for 2/19/16 as the carpet was supposed to arrive from Georgia a few days before that. I took off work for this installation, but was only notified two days before that the carpet was on back order and would be delayed to 3/7/16. We were given the option of selecting a new carpet or waiting a little longer for the one we ordered to arrive. At this point I figured I would rather just wait a little longer and get the carpet I want. I was called by Crystal, who coordinates the appointments for them, the following week and told that the carpet was being loaded on the truck that day and that she would call me back in just a few days to reschedule an appointment time for the installation. The next call I received was three days later with Crystal notifying me that there is a defect in the yarn used for this particular carpet and that they don't know how long it will take before this is resolved by the manufacturer. At this point I decided to cancel my order and get a refund so that I could find another company to work with. I was told the refund would be issued and would take 2-3 days to show on my credit card. After it didn't show on my card in five days I called Crystal back got a hold of Michelle, who told me it can take up to seven days to show up. She asked me if I ever received an invoice of the refund by email and I said no. She told me that she would send me one and that I should see the refund post within the next two days. I never received the invoice or the refund after waiting an additional three days. I called back and was told that the bank never processed the original refund request and that they would reissue it, but that it would take up to three more days. I told them that if I did not see it within three more days I would report it as fraud with my credit card. They did at least finally send me an email with the refund invoice that day. After four more days it did finally post to my credit card as a refund. I understand that mistakes can happen, but it was one thing after another and it got to the point where I did not trust what they were telling me. They told me that the carpet was being loaded on the truck, only to later tell me that there is a defect in the yarn. Why would it ever have been loaded if there is a defect? They also told me that the delay in the refund was the bank’s fault. I have since gone with another company that I have been very pleased with, but wish I wouldn’t have wasted over a month with Carpet Connection’s runaround.

After a few consultations with Shelly from Carpet Connections, she gave us a date as to when our carpet would be shipped from the carpet mill. She called when it was ready to be installed and we set up a date for the installers to come to install the carpet. That date came and we had two very nice gentlemen come and install the carpet in our basement. They worked hard all day and were very pleasant. When the job was done they cleaned up all the little loose carpet pieces and even vacuumed our new carpeting! It was ready for furniture to be moved on to it. Really nice work and we are so pleased with the way everything turned out. We are going to use Shelly for our main floor hardwood floors that need to be replaced as well as the carpet for our upstairs. Shelly is a very knowledgeable and professional person to deal with. Michelle and Shelly, confusing, I know, and they even sound alike on the telephone, are both fantastic. Michelle came to the house, brought samples and we sorted out all the details right then and there. I had two other highly reviewed carpet installers from Angies list come out to bid as well. They were both very competent and professional but could not come close to the Carpet Connection price and convenience. Basically I got stellar service via an in-home process without driving across town and saved three hundred dollars off the nearest bidder. The installation crew showed up early and rang the bell exactly on time. They hauled carpet up and down a tight staircase and never scratched the walls. Very professional installers and it looks fantastic. Nice attention to all the corners up there which was not easy with the multiple levels of floor and step ups and step downs. Shelly called me the day after instillation to make sure we were happy. Who does that anymore? So nice to get the best service for the best product and at the best price.

Overall the experience was ok. Mr. Scott Zickus came to my house for an initial estimate and then a follow up. After 7 bids from different companies throughout the Denver area, Carpet Connection was the most competitive in terms of pricing. The carpet i chose was a higher grade carpet that was $10.00 more per sq yard at carpet exchange and didn?t think i could afford the carpet. Once i found out that they carried the same carpet and it was far less than Carpet Exchange, i was stoked as i now could afford the carpet i really wanted! That same day i signed a contract to move forward with ordering the carpet and paid my down payment. Days later i was informed that my carpet was on backorder from the carpet mill in Georgia. I was ok with that, as it was a busy month for me being out of town and i was in no hurry. A week later or so, Michelle called me to say that my carpet is about to ship from Georgia and wanted to know if i was ready to set up an install date. My only day of availability was 3 weeks out into the next month on August 15th. She said perfect, it gives us plenty of time for the carpet to get here and ready for install. That day on the 15th, as instructed, i packed up the little things on my furniture in boxes in all the rooms, for ease of moving the furniture around; i also kenneled my dog that evening so he wouldn?t be here with the carpet was being installed and had moved all the boxes downstairs out of the installers way. At about 5:00pm the day before my scheduled install, i received a phone call from Michelle stating that my carpet was NOT in town yet, and in fact it hadn?t shipped from the mill; and that we would have to reschedule. Please keep in mind that everything had been ready; dog in kennel; in preparation for their arrival the next day. The carpet had to be installed the following week. Not completely Carpet Connections fault for a shipping problem from carpet mill; i just wished i had more advanced notice of that delay as my entire home was now a disarray. The installers showed up the next week, on time and did a very good job with the installation, and they worked hard and diligently throughout the day. Overall the company ok and i would not probably use them in the future, the only recommendation i can make to them is that the communication between company and customer needs major improvements. Shelly (the owner) was hard to get in touch with, and when i would leave her a message, her assistant Michelle would be the one to return the calls. Shelly also was not as understanding and apologetic as Michelle was for the entire situation; When Shelly called me after i requested to Michelle that i wanted to talk to the owner (Shelly), Shelly called me back the next morning and the first words from her was "do you want to cancel or do you want to proceed". Just a little irritating for the lack of compassion and understanding given my situation. Shelly did agree with a small concession for the inconvenience. Michelle called me 2 days after with a follow up call, and said "Shelly wanted me to follow up with you on the carpet installation"; just kind of odd that Shelly didn?t call herself.

The job went fantastically. The crew was there at 7:00 am. They were very polite and professional. The guys tore out the old carpet and pad in sections so they were easy to roll up and take outside. As this was nearing completion, they started to swept the floors to get all the dust and dirt off them. They then started installing the new pad and carpet. If the crew had any questions, they asked to see what I wanted to do. After the carpet had been installed, the guys made sure that there were no bubbles or bumps in the carpet. The finishing touch was when they vacuumed the new carpet to get any little pieces that may have been laying around when they trimmed to put into place. After the carpet was installed, the crew piled the old pad and carpet into the truck and took it with them. This installation was completed in a little over three hours from start to finish. The carpet looks absolutely wonderful and I cannot thank Shelly and her team enough for the wonderful service they provided!!!!!

I had originally wanted to put a hardwood floor in my dinning area. After my discussion with Shelly we decided on carpet. Shelly was patient, honest and sincere as she explained why hardwood would not be the best choice. Shelly was generous to agree to come back a couple of days later and explain the reasoning behind carpet to my husband. Now this is service. My husband felt immediately comfortable and confident with Shelly's professionalism and explanation. We will use Carpet Connections for our next installation.

Shelly returned my call immediately after my first inquiry. She came out to my house and showed me samples of various types of carpet. She was very sensitive to budget constraints and helped me choose a high quality carpet within my budget. Shelly is also fabulous at helping you choose the right carpet color for your home. Without her I know I would have chosen something I would not have been happy with. We paid for the carpet up front so they could order it. The installers arrived as scheduled and worked VERY hard all morning. The end result looked great and they did a pretty good job of cleaning up after themselves. :) We paid them directly for the installation. Overall, an easy, pleasant experience, and we are happy with the end result. Oh...did I mention the prices are fantastic?

Wonderfully well. Replaced carpet in living room; dining room; master bedroom, bath and closet; up the stairs; two landings and closet. Two day job; two man crew. On time and very efficient. Did a beautiful job. They helped us purchase carpet from a wholesaler but they took care of everything, including disposal of old carpet. We highly recommend.

Quality of the product was excellent. Shelly came and showed the product and was very pleasant and easy to work with. There was some miscommunication with one of the staircases and there wasn't enough carpet to cover a small closet and back stairs. I called Shelly that day and thought that the carpet would be ordered quickly. After contacting Carpet Connections a few times (back and forth) I was able to have the remainder of the carpet installed about a month later. I was charged for the extra carpet, 120 for the stairs and an additional installation fee which I thought should have been waived due to the circumstances. Benny who installed the carpet the first time was excellent! He was nice and did excellent work. The other two worked well too, but one was on the phone quite a bit throughout the job and wasn't always responsive when I asked questions. Jose who came to do the work the 2nd time was very kind and hardworking. I would definitely ask for one of them. They are not only hardworking but professional and easy to work with.

The only issue with this experience was that a check that was given to Carpet Connections for payment in August was not cashed until October which created problems for the buyer to budget. I would recommend either paying in cash or cashiers check because of this issue.

Shelley came to our home and showed us many options of yarn, styles and colors. She uses an approach that considers budget, what the traffic in the space will be and your personal preferences. Shelley focuses more on showing you carpets with reasonable wear/stain performance and picking what you like from there. This is compared to others we talked to that are strictly focused on technical performance of the fiber over what you like in terms of look/feel. Install was well done and Jose is very polite. We did have some confusion on how the stairs needed to be done. The trim was placed badly, making a good install difficult and his suggestion to our contractor to remove the trim for the install got garbled and the stairs had to be finished another day. But we're glad Jose didn't just make do as it would not have turned out as well so the delay was worth the results.

Wow! The process went very smooth. Shelly arrived on time as scheduled and she was very professional. She had many samples and very good advice for selecting the best carpet and color for our home. Her prices were better than we had found elsewhere. We had three people quote the job and she was the best in quality and price, good combination! No pressure, just great carpet at a great price. You can't go wrong here!

Great service -- incredible value for the quality of the work performed!

The carpet installation was the last service to be performed in this house-renovation project before the house was listed for sale. There were several factors that led to a positive experience with Carpet Connection. First, it was important to me that the carpet selection and installation process be completed on schedule in order to minimize carrying costs on the investment. Every task in the porcess was completed timely including the initial voice-mail response, the carpet-selection meeting, the house measurements, and the final installation. Second, I sought to optimize the carpet price and carpet quality at a cost that fit my budget. After shopping several other carpet vendors, I found Carpet Connection offered the best quality carpet for the price I had budgeted. Third, I was looking for a vendor with substantial experience, particularly with "fix-and-flips", that could advise me about carpet selection. I found Shelly Thoman, owner of Carpet Connection, to be a seasoned professional who guided me toward selection of a carpet that is attractive and a perfect fit for this property. Finally, I needed assurance that the installation would be done with the highest quality workmanship. During the purchasing process, I learned that Carpet Connection uses highly experienced, carefully selected, family owned, out-source installation service companies. The final product was everything that I had been promised and more. Partly as a result of the high-quality carpet, the house sold within a seek of being listed on MLS. My experience with Carpet Connection could not have been more positive.

The start date was delayed because of bad weather which held up delivery of the carpet. Once arrived no problems. the oinstallers were efficient, courteous and cheerful.

I called and told Shelly I was looking for carpet for a rental, and she had a carpet which she suggested. We made an appointment, and she came to the rental house with carpet samples and made suggestions. She was GREAT! Install was set up 3 days later. Carpet Connection has had the same carpet installers for 9 years plus. The installers guarantee their work. The carpet was installed without a hitch. I was so pleased with them that I will use them in my own house. Their prices are below retail, and I thought the prices were very good. You pay Carpet Connection for the carpet, and the installer for the work.

It was a referral from my real estate agent. The person I dealt with initially brought in the cheaper carpets, but she had all kinds of samples, and I ended up buying a mid-priced carpet. She was upfront with me on the cost. There were additional charges involved and she gave me the cost of the carpet that I selected. Everything was settled and she ordered the carpet and I paid for it upfront through my Visa card. The workers, who were Hispanic, were very good. There were two of them and they did the job in one day. They were careful about moving the furniture around and cleaned up afterward. They told me that they had tucked the carpet in the baseboard and there were some touch up marks along the baseboard. They were upfront with me on that. They were hard working and I was glad with the progress they were making and ended giving them some lunch. They cut the carpet outside and brought it in through the garage. There is obviously a lot of moving things around when you have to install a carpet but they took care of that. I wasn't with them all the time, but everything was fine when I came back. I had a radio here and they asked me if I could play some music on it that they liked and I asked them to go for it. They were hard working.
