Things started out well and I received a bid for the demolition, haul off, and weeding of the front yard. Brandon arrived when he said he would, but left partially through the day leaving the job unfinished. He did return to complete the demolition and tear down of the chicken coop, but when it was time for him to complete the front yard he was difficult to schedule. After several weeks he came back out mowed rectangle of about 3'x5' over the rocks that are in my yard (the whole front is xeriscaped and I have weeds and grass growing through the weed cloth). He then told me that was as good as it was going to get and that if I wanted the grass etc. actually pulled it was going to cost me $1000 because he was paying his guys $35/hour. We agreed on the final price of $850 for the entire job before he started and after he did the easier demo job he was not interested in completing the unpleasant yard work. I hired him for the package deal as I could have gotten demo done cheaper. If you do decide to hire him I encourage you to insist that he completes the harder portion of the work first because he didn't complete it for me afterwards. I was also hoping for a receipt for my taxes, which was not given to me all I have is a text message from him saying he would eat the money for the time already spent on the yard and that they weren't going to continue.
