John and his team exceeded my expectations. This is an attentive group that offers fair pricing and open communication. I was immediately made aware of changes due to supply chain disruption and other small mishaps that happen with renovation projects. John even made himself available to meet with an outside team (hot tub delivery crew) while I was out of the country. It's evident they take pride in their work and care about their clients. I will be looking to Athenaeum again if future needs arise.

John and his team are so wonderful! They are great communicators if there is an issue that needs resolving, and John is ethical and works with integrity to provide a good end result. They work quickly and carefully, and involve you in the process to make sure the finished product is something you are happy with.

When you choose a company you haven't worked with before, there's always an unknown. I chose Athenaeum and it was a fantastic experience: communication throughout the project, design choices, quality of work, attention to detail, budgeting, thoroughness and the list goes on. Any photo's wouldn't do the finished project, enough justice. For projects like mine and probably many others, I don't know why anyone would necessarily go with anyone else. Vetting companies can always be a challenge and it's a great feeling when the "sales" portion, ultimately matches the "finished product" end result. Choose Athenaeum.

Owner, John, met beforehand with us to discuss each project. He provided a detailed project plan and estimate. 50% paid up front to secure project and materials with final payment after job was complete. Work is warrantied. We've done 5 sucessful projects to date.

These guys are the best. Beat the other quotes we had, and when people visit they always want to see the new basement and bathroom and just say "Wow"! I trust these guys with keys to my house, and have had them back several projects. Give them a call, you won't be disappointed!

I had a serious deck project with 3 wood decks being replaced with composite. This took place right after COVID puts its stamp on rising construction prices. The team at Athenaeum worked with suppliers to ease the cost where necessary. They itemized every nail and screw so I knew where all my money was going. They helped deal with the confusion of permits and approvals. At the end, I have 3 decks that will last a long time and I’m extremely happy with. I appreciate the work done and wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to for any other work needed.
