About us

We have been in business for over 27 years and are Nastec and NATE certified. We do over 20,000 service calls per year and about 50% of those are from repeat and referral business. A couple of reasons for that are: we GET OUT the SAME DAY and we have our own training facility where our techs are kept up to date on all the industry changes and not necessarily on your equipment. We are master plumbers, master electricians, and an HVAC company so if you have any needs in these areas let us know.

RUN!!!!!! Do not use this company. What a total rip-off! I thought since they answered the phone they would get things done. They provided a window between 11-3 to arrive. At 330 still, no call no show. I called to find out what was happening and they said the technician was running behind. It would have been nice if they would have called to communicate that. By 5 pm we just rescheduled for the next day. An entire day was wasted waiting for someone to show up. The next day after they looked at the dishwasher he stated that there was an issue with the entire motherboard and front control panel. The total cost was going to be close to $600 for parts and installation and it would take 5-10 business days before parts would arrive. Mind you the service fee is $154.00, but it would go towards the fix. Well, the entire dishwasher is brand new is less than the parts and labor. I asked if they can just do an installation. He said sure it would cost $286 to install but the service fee would not go towards the installation since it is a new dishwasher. What? How does that make any sense? If I am paying you for a service, what difference does it make if you order parts or order a new washer? Total scam and rip-off! They do not honor what they say with regard to applying the service fee towards fixing the problem. The fix is to just order a new washer. To top it all off, I asked if their company offers a military discount before I scheduled a technician. Judy, the receptionist stated that they can offer me a 5% discount. After the diagnosis, low and behold they can not apply that towards the service call fee. They made no mention of this nor distinguished that it would only apply towards the repair. Only after I called and stated that the fee was incorrect did they make that contingency. I then spoke to John, the manager. WOW! What an arrogant, rude, individual. John stated he reserves the right to revoke any discount at any time. He stated that he offers it to military and senior citizens as a courtesy and to show appreciation. Not much appreciation was felt. Feels more like a bait and switch. His last words were, if you do not like it, take me to court. What a total SCAM!

This company seems to want to push me towards writing them a 1 star review. Here is my experience. 1. My oven started throwing an error code several months ago, and AA came out promptly. 2. They determined a new circuit board was required, $700 3. A week after the board was installed, the original error returned 4. AA no-showed for 4 consecutive appointments 5. When their senior technician finally showed up, he didn't know what to do, and so he ordered another board as a last attempt 6. AA once more no-showed this week for a previously scheduled appointment. We called to confirm, and they noted we had an appointment today (Thursday). 7. I just got off the phone with AA, and they had no record of an appointment. They pushed me back to next Monday I have no trust in this company's ability to fix my situation. In hindsight, I would have been better off by purchasing a new oven, but that ship has sailed. If AA refunded me for the part that did not work, I would also find that acceptable

This company is not to be trusted. They lied, they did not completed, and the refuse to refund the money. We ended having to buy a new refrigerator and our seeking legal action.

They have so many complaints against the they are not accredited by the BBB. I am sure they replaced a part needlessly. They will not give me an itemized invoice for work done. their 2 day return with part turned into seven days and only because I called to see where they were. their two repair men had the personalities of a stump. I have the removed part if anyone cares to check it out. I am extremely disappointed that Angi would have this business listed as pros. I will never use Angi again for any kind of service.

Do not even consider using this company!!!! It has been ten weeks and at least as many visits from their repairmen, and my washing machine is still not in working order. During the process of repairing the machine three employees quit, they were late several times, and at least twice they did not show up or call. They refuse to return my money and they still have my control board. I have asked to speak with a manager several times, but a manager is never available. They have ordered the wrong parts on more than one occasion. They installed the parts incorrectly on more than one occasion. They didn't run diagnostics until the seventh visit. Now, they want to exchange my washing machine for one of their loaners but refuse to give me any information about what type of machine it is, how old it is, or if it has a warranty. They are more interested in upselling additional services than repairing my washing machine. And the worst part, they have out and out lied to me on more than one occasion! RUN do not walk away from this company!

They called 2 hours after the appointment window to tell us they were not going to make it. They do not warehouse any parts and it took them a week to get the part. I had to call them to find out the part was in and then had to wait another 2 days for the repair. They are friendly and we are happy with the work. However, 8 days is too long to get a major appliance repaired.

We were rescheduled twice with no notice, I had to call them. We were out of heat and hot water for one week and a day. One of three parts was not available but the service man got it to work temporarily so that was a plus. He was very nice and helpful.

My experience with Action Appliance is one of the worst customer experiences I've had in my adult life. I'm a nice guy and never take to the Internet to hurt anyone or any company. I get it...this can be an under-appreciated service. However, in my experience with Action Appliance, I had the following happen: 1.) They did not show up for a 4-hour appointment window 3 times. Yes, three different times they did not show up while I was waiting for their arrival during a 4-hour window = 12 hours wasted for me. 2.) They did a fireplace repair that was very quickly found to be deficient (a repair that cost $750+, by the way). The fact that I invested $750 in the first repair is the only reason I have gone through the negligence that this company has shown to TRY and get this repair finished and done. In short I am stuck with them. 3.) Upon realizing that the repair they did was incorrect, they ordered the part that they needed for a different section of the fireplace that was still leaking gas. Honestly, it made me wonder if the first technician did the right diagnosis and the first $750 was a total waste.... Anyway, another 45+ days passed before the part came in. Probably a global supply chain issue? OK, I understand. That delay is not Action's fault. 4.) Upon finally getting the part needed, an appointment was set. Today, they were to arrive with another 4-hour window. They no-showed for the 4th time. I am up to about 16 hours of waiting for this company to take Action; on the repair I asked them to perform. I called them today, and kindly/courteously admonished them for my experience. I didn't curse/swear, and made it clear that it was NOT the fault of the person who was on the phone with me. This was a team effort that had nothing to do with the person the phone with me. I kindly asked if I might be able to speak to a leader of the company. Why? Because if this was my company and I found that I treated ANY of my customers anywhere CLOSE to the experience I have had...I would be begging for a proper understanding/perspective, and figuring out a way for my team to learn from failing a customer as badly as I was failed. And heck, maybe that leader might compensate the customer in some way for the extreme inconvenience and total lack of focus on the customer that has been my experience. In short, I enthusiastically do NOT recommend this company. In my 25+ years as a homeowner, and sometimes needing a professional service such as this, my experience with Action Appliance has been EXTRAORDINARILY painful, time-consuming, expensive, and disappointing. I look forward to seeing if they make their next appointment with me and finish the repair! AWESOME!!

Repairman was super nice and efficient however charges were outrageous. They wanted nearly $400 to fix the water supply to refrigerator. We bought the $20 part and fixed it ourselves in 5 minutes.

My pilot light went out and I ordered a new pilot light from Action Appliance on 12/31/21 for $2,443.41. I then made an appointment to have it installed on 1/5/22 and no one showed up or called. I made another appointment on 1/7/22 and no one showed up yet again.  No calls or communication. A  Myself and my husband have called the company many times and have no answers. Each time I call I sit on hold for at least 10 minutes.  We asked for our money back and we were told there would be a penalty. I can't get an answer about the pilot light from the company or get them out to my house.  I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau today.  I would like to get a full refund from Action Appliance without a penalty.  They have not been able to give me what I paid for and it has been over a month. THIS IS A HORRIBLE BUSINESS THAT HAS TAKEN MY MONEY!
