Overall Academy did an excellent job. My only issues were that I didn't feel questions asked in my initial email were addressed beyond acknowledging the need for an appointment to provide an accurate estimate (understandable, but acknowledgement of my questions, if only to say they would be best answered by the person providing the estimate, would have been appreciated); that, and the time it took to receive an estimate (over two weks) after the initial visit seemed longer than I expected. Otherwise I found Academy to be professional in all other regards throughout the process; from Stuart's first visit (where I felt he was truly looking for the cause of the problem and not for opportunities to charge us more money for more work), the communication provided throughout the process (which is HUGE to me), the professionalism with which the work was done, the pricing which I thought reasonable and appropriate (and accurate as to the estimate), and most importantly ... it appears they found - and fixed the leak!

We had a hailstorm and had to have our roof replaced. They were very good. The only reason we did not use them was because their price was a little higher than another company. They were very personable. Their follow up was very good and they wanted the job but we ended up not using them.

The job was bigger than estimated but they did it at original estimate cost. Good quality workmanship. Did have to wait a while for an appointment but it was a small job that was understandably not a priority from a business standpoint.

Overall it went very well. The work was done due to a bad hail storm in the area. Unfortunately, due to the number of houses in the area needing new roofs, it took a few months for the job to be done. (Academy Roofing was swamped with other clients, was dealing with them on a first come first served basis, and I waited longer than I should have to contact and commit to a contract with Academy Roofing. I also learned that Academy Roofing is an established company in the Denver area that does not hire a lot of additional workers when something like a hail storm occurs, the positive is the workers are experienced but the downside is if they are in demand there may be a longer wait than other companies who hire inexperienced workers for surge situations.) The lesson I learned here was that if the roofing job was a result of something like a hail storm, don't wait too long to call if you want fast service.) The estimator from Academy Roofing was also a bit optimistic on when the job could be completed, my recommendation is to verify the time estimates with Academy Roofing's office to verify the start date. Academy Roofing does pull building permits to re-roof when required by the county, so this is an additional cost, but it also provides an additional level of protection for the customer. (Academy Roofing allows a hold back of 10% of the payment price until the inspection was passed.)

They gave us a quote promptly. Even though they cost more than others, we decided to hire them because they had done a good job on a past roofing job. Their crew arrived on time, but found that our hoses were frozen, so they couldn't actually rinse out the gutters. After doing what they could that day, they returned the next day with their own hose and finished the job. If they had told us what the problem was before they were ready to leave the first day, we could have given them a hose that was in the basement and wasn't frozen, but they didn't. But, they did finish the job, so I can't complain. Later, a supervisor called us to report on the state of the underground drains.

They were very good overall. They did the whole roof and took care of the permits and all that kind of stuff.

The guy was super and very knowledgeable. We are still debating we might go with him. What we really wanted was a quote on repair, and what we got was a new roof so that could have been my my husband's communication. While he was here he modified and gave me prices for repair of roof also. We still haven't made a decision on doing the roof yet, but we might go with them.

Academy came on time and saw a problem. They scheduled and appointment where no one even needed to be present. I came home that day and they did such a good job of clean up that I couldn't even tell that anyone was ever there. I sprayed the area of the roof with the hose for 20 minutes and no leaks found. I would hire again.

This is my second review of this company and I am late doing it. I decided to go back to them after my bad experience with another company. When I did, I experienced more bureaucracy after I signed the contract. The left hand didnt know what the right hand was doing. After several weeks going back and forth, they told me my roof replacement is schedule three months out. I thought it was immanent. I feel I was misled and wasted several weeks. I would not have signed the contract if they were up front with me. After expressing my displeasure, company management prompty called me. To their credit, they ripped up the contract with no argument.

I called to get a quote on a roof replacement. The lady I spoke with was very nice and helpful. They were scheduling quotes three weeks out in advance and roof replacements 6 months in advance. I did not go with this company because of the long wait for service.

I had three companies come out and give me a bid. Academy Roofing explained exactly what was wrong and how to fix the problem. Thier explantion and pictures of the prolme made me comfortable with the fix and the price.

This company gets everything right. From the phone reception to the estimators to the foreman and work crew, every interaction inspires confidence and impresses. Estimates were accurate and detailed, work was completed on time, crews were careful to protect landscaping and pets, and every worker on the crew was someone I felt comfortable having on my property. The work has held up for over 15 years without any problems. This is a stable, established, family owned company that treats their employees well, equips them with great safety gear and training, and retains long term employees. They make a contribution to their community and are the kind of business you feel good about patronizing.

I was impressed by them. We plan to move forward with their quote when their schedule is less busy. They may be out here next time sometime.

I called Academy after I had a shingles blow off my roof in a bad windstorm. My initial sales rep took a long time getting back to me. When I called back, I think they realized he had dropped the ball and could not have been more helpful from that point on. Academy had someone come out and take pictures of the damage and they forwarded everything to my insurance company, which agreed with their assessment that I needed a whole new roof. Academy was great with updates, scheduling, and professionalism. Their works always cleaned up each day, and the job took three days total. I couldn't be happier. They put on a great roof and helped me get reimbursed by my insurance company.

It was a great experience--start to finish. I do not hesitate to highly recommend Academy Roofing!

Approximately 6 months later we again had high winds and part of the area replaced again blew off. I called and they sent someone out promptly to replace the missing shingle and did not charge us. Again, about 6 months passed and more shingles in the same area repaired were missing. Contacted Academy and they agreed to send someone out if I agreed to pay the trip and repair charge. I discussed this with several people at Academy and felt that all of these issues were in the original repair/replacement area and should be covered without charge. I did finally agree to the trip charge if the replacement was determined not to be the same shingles or near the replaced shingles. They even market as such on the work order. The gentleman came and replaced the missing shingles and because I had a doctor's appointment and had to leave before he was done and did not talk to him, thought it was in the same area and there would be no charge. A week later we received a bill for 125.00 and there was a notation on the bill regarding to check the area to see if missing shingle was in the same area. I called the company to see if anyone had checked and was told they were unsure but would check into it and return my call. A day later I received a call back that they were waiving the 125.00 charge and not to pay it.

This was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Bobby was our salesperson and was incredibly responsive to our every need. There were very significant delays because of issues with HOA approval. He sent someone 50 miles from his office to our home to bring us samples in an expedited manner. Bobby was the most responsive professional we have dealt with in years. The project was completed on-time and was beautifully done. I would not consider doing business with anyone else in the future except Academy Roofing! What a relief to find someone like them!

I had ice dams on my roof which caused leaks inside my house in February. Called Academy Roofing. These people do not know what customer service is and are inflexible. It is impossible to get them after 2:00 in the afternoon on weekdays and they do nothing late in the day or weekends. It was almost like dealing with the government. Since I work weekdays, it was hard to deal with them. I had to take days off of work in order to meet and get a quote. Waste of my time as the quote was thousands more than other companies who came out on weekends and late afternoons. They guy who did come out to give me a quote was decent, but the price was way too high.

Academy roofing never responded to my request for a quote for roof repair

We haven't had any big storms so I'm not sure if it worked yet. They were professional and on time. It was between them and one other company but Academy responded to a particular need that I had to have it done before I had to leave town. That's why I chose them. The price between the two was very competiteve, as well. P.S. - One disappointment was that they had to come back the day that I had left to finish the job. They weren't able to or chose not to finish it before I had left. It was disappointing because I thought it was going to be done before I left.

These guys are the best. 10 years ago I had another company put on a roof, and they really messed up in several places. Academy roofing came out, gave me a prompt estimate, helped me match the concrete tiles that were no longer available to something that matched. The office people were very helpful in picking the right tiles. The workers came out, and they realized the job was bigger than they had thought (they found some really bad past construction). They just added more workers to the job, completed it on time. They never once even suggested that the work was more, but you could tell. They just did it, and did it well. Highly recommend.

We initially contacted Academy through Angie's List after viewing their reports. They replied quickly and set up a time with a two-hour arrival window to come to our home and review the work to be done. At our request, they provided a spreadsheet detailing the proposed repair/replacement of gutters. We had a few critical areas in need of repair, and they found more rusted areas that would need repair/replacement in the near future. They broke out each item to help us make our decision. Academy provided excellent feedback and follow-up. We ultimately chose another company that's closer to our home and was able to do the job immediately. Overall, it went very well and we would certainly consider them in the future or recommend them to a friend.
