It took a few days to get a response when scheduling the appointment. That's not a big deal by itself, but it's just one more nail in the coffin for this company. I was given an arrival time in the morning, but the two women did not call or show up until after noon (4 hours late). When they arrived, they shouted and complained that they got lost, and blamed it on the business owner, not taking any responsibility themselves. I asked them why they didn't call and ask for directions, and they lied saying they had to drive all the way back to Denver before they could call. Even if they didn't have cell phones or cell coverage, there are other towns and many gas stations and pay-phones between my house and Denver. I told them that I have asthma and I needed them to clean without using aerosols or sprays, but they refused. All they had to do was unscrew the spray lid and wet their cleaning cloths directly, but they weren't willing to do that. So, I had to go outside and wait for them to clean and wait for a few more hours after they left, for the fumes to dissipate. When I was finally able to go inside, I found they did a terrible and sloppy job. Because of their use of aerosolized cleaners and my asthma, I couldn't follow them around and insist on them completing the job properly. The bathroom mirrors were streaked and half-dirty; they didn't dust things I asked them to and they agreed to; they didn't even move the dining room chairs when they vacuumed - talk about lazy. You'd have to follow them around every second and be really unpleasantly bossy in order to get a good job out of these people. If you hire them, make sure you have the whole day off, be prepared to watch them like a hawk, and be prepared to get unpleasantly mean with them - they don't do a good job when you're nice to them, as I fully found out. I even tipped them $20 bucks apiece when they left - before I got to see their work. I feel ripped off and taken advantage of.

TERRIBLE! NEVER use this service. First visit I only authorized 4 hours of labor and the girls spent 9 hours (3 girls for 3 hours) and the owner called and YELLED at ME even though she admitted that she hadnt communicated to them that they were only supposed to spend 4 hours. On the 3rd visit they THREW away all my delicates (cashmere sweaters, expensive bras and undies) and she offered to take off $20. It was over $300 worth of clothing. I insisted that she owed me AT LEAST $200 so she begrudgingly agreed to deduct $20 for 10 visits. On the 5th visit they dragged a plant across our hardwood floor and scratched the heck out of it. The last visit they put a 12 foot scratch in my floor and when I called the owner about that and the other floor scratches she denied that they did it (I left the house in the morning, they were the ONLY ones in the house and when I returned home the scratch was there). When I asked about her insurance she said "yes we have insurance but we didnt do it so we arent paying." Furthermore, she was rude on the phone every time I called her and has very questionable business ethics since she refused to take any accountability for the damage done to me house.

They did a good job up until the last time I used them. I had go through my house and clean all the areas they missed, which was quite a few areas. I wouldn't use them again.

CONTRACTED WITH THIS COMPANY TO DO CLEANING IN MY HOME TWICE A MONTH. THE WORK IS SATISFACTORY. THE PRICE IS COMPETITIVE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

THE OWNERS OF SUNSHINE MAIDS ARE VERY RECEPTIVE & HELPFUL. THE TEAM THEY SEND TO OUR HOUSE IS VERY RELIABLE. WE'VE HAD THEM RETURN A COUPLE TIMES TO CORRECT A CLEANING ISSUE & THEY'VE BEEN RESPONSIVE & HELPFUL.
