We called fairly late in the day and I fully expected to get voice mail, but someone very helpful and knowledgable answered the phone. She asked me to describe our problem and, since we had never noticed the bees prior to that day, she said they might just be a scouting party looking for a place to start a new hive. She suggested waiting 24 hours and if they were still there, it probably indicated they had decided to stay. She asked us to call her back in 24 hours regardless so she could give us further instructions. She was also careful to instruct us to watch from a distance and to only approach the area when we had not seen any bee activity for at least several hours. She also offered to come out the next day if we were not comfortable with watching the area ourselves, but we did not see the need to waste their time and our money if it wasn't necessary. We kept a close eye on things the following day and into the early evening and did not see anything except quite a few dead bees. We called her back and she told us it sounded like the bees had moved on, but that now we needed to investigate the area they seemed interested in and address any openings or areas where future scouting parties might find the area more to their liking and seal them up or repair the area if necessary. Overall the experience could not have gone better. The person who answered the phone initially really put our minds at ease. She was helpful, friendly, professional and made sure we were comfortable with watching the area ourselves until we determined if they needed to come out. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them in the future should we have the need.
Description of Work: We noticed bees swarming at the edge of our house near where the siding meets the foundation. Some of them had come into the house somehow and subsequently died, so we weren't sure if they were predominantly inside or out. We called Schultz Honey and Wax because we assumed we had an infestation, or one was developing, and we wanted the bees removed, not exterminated.

We called this company in the evening and left a voice mail message. They called back early in the morning, and after I described the situation, they confirmed the need for their services. The caller checked with other employees and called back to say someone would be there by mid-day. They gave me an estimated cost over the phone. They appeared as promised that day, removed the bees with a vacuum system to a hive, and gave suggestions as to how to avoid the situation in the future.
Description of Work: We were aghast to find that honey bees had swarmed and settled into our compost bin. We needed to find a way to get rid of them without killing them.
