I like the fact that they were a small company because we had decided to go with a small company with hard working people. They were punctual and responsive.

Sorry I wrote it all above ; but an excellent value!!Jim got to us promptly diagnosed the electrical problem quickly and efficiently, repaired it made sure all was working well and told me what to do in case problem recurred He also told me how to bring my water heater drainpipe and furnace venting up to code A WONDERFUL experiece !!

We had no heat. Jim juggled his schedule to get to us within 2 hours and immediately spotted the problem a repairman from another company completely missed. Simple fix, heat fired up, problem solved. He also showed me a few things to watch for to keep my aging furnace running through the season. When it goes, I'll call Rocky Mtn Heat to replace it. Couldn't have gone better.

I evaluated 4 contractors bids which takes some time in trying to compare apples vs apples due to different manufactures, bid details, deducts, credits, etc. In addition to submitting the most detailed professional bid, Lou White, Owner of RM Heat, was low evauated bidder. I also asked for and got firm prices on the total job. There was only one item that needed to be changed to my satisfaction and that was the routing of the tubes carrying the refrigerant from the outdoor condenser & coil to the indoor evaporator coil. When I explained it to Lou over the phone it was corrected immediately. Anthony and Jim were the installers and in addition to being dedicated to the job at hand were pleasant and patient and answered any questions I had.

All jobs went well despite difficult working conditions in the attic and crawlspace of our older (1952 house) as well as dealing with older wiring and thick loose-type attic insulation. One of the bathroom fan installs and one of the furnace servicing required long crawls in the crawlspace and attic from the access points. Due to the required roof work for through the roof venting and bad weather, Lou had to reschedule a few times, but work was completed as soon as the roof was free of snow. The new/better bathroom fans and re-worked venting completely solved the bathroom humidity problems we had with the old fans and poorly done venting arrangements. It turned out the circuit we planned to use for the range hood was miswired when we had major electrical work done a couple years ago. Lou gave us a referral for an electrician who came out and identified and corrected the bad house wiring the next business day after the range hood installation was complete at a very reasonable price.

I had a very good experience with Lou and his crew. He came out the first day to assess the system and do general maintenance. He had to schedule a second day to do some of the extra projects. One of his employees went over the whole system with me. The second day he could not find the parts he needed so he called and we rescheduled. He came out the next day to complete everything. Lou was great about letting me know when he would be here. I felt like he and his staff knew what they were doing. And he was up front about costs. Overall, very good experience and I will continue with this company.

These guys are absolutely wonderful, I am so glad I found them. I had interviewed at least 6 other companies and hadn't found anyone I was satisfied with. When I called for an estimate I talked to Jim, he was the only one who knew what a gravity feed furnace was. Of all the estimators who came out, he was the only one to figure out how to address the drainage and exhaust issues required by a HE furnace. He also figured out a way to utilize most of the existing duct work, minimizing the expense of adding new ducting. Their price was also the least expensive of the 7 companies who gave me estimates. A crew of 4 showed up right on time and they were all very professional, very friendly, and very competent. They worked quickly and barely took a break all day. Because the 2 furnaces being removed were so old and enormous, it was supposed to be a 2 day job. I was prepared for a night without heat, but they stayed until 9 to make sure we at least had heat for the night. They came back bright and early the next morning to put the finishing touches on the system and clean up. Everything worked perfectly and quietly. Lou, the owner, stopped by a couple of times during the job to check in and also called a few days after to see how things were going and if we would like them to come out and make any adjustments. They obviously care about their customers and their employees and want to build long-term relationships. I will not hesitate to call them in the future and I whole-heartedly recommend them!

The price was great compared to others. He had the best ideas and made the furnace not make a lot of noise and came back and checked to see if it was working and he is very educated in what he is doing.
