Kevin's Kwality Appliance

Kevin was wonderful. He was able to get me in quickly, was very nice to work with, honest, and charged a fair price to repair my dryer.

It went great. He was delayed one time because his supplier didn't have the part that he needed. However, he accurately guessed what the problem was based on my description over the phone, came with the right part, and fixed it in about 15 minutes. I also appreciated that he came at 7 in the morning because it saved me from having to miss any time at work.

On Sunday evening (naturally) I noticed that the ice cream in the freezer was soft and that the refrigerator seemed to be not as cold as it should be. Early Monday morning I consulted "Angie's List" under "Appliance-Repair-Large and after reading several reviews I called Kevin's Quality Repair. Kevin indicated I would be the second call of the morning at the estimated time of 10:30am. Shortly after we spoke, he called back to say the part he needed for the first call was not available so he would come immediately. Upon his prompt arrival, he quickly diagnosed the problem, called the distributer to see if the part was available, left to get the part and promptly returned, installed the part and by 10:30 we were on the way to Elitch's with the grandkids. It was a totally wonderful experience. (I mean Kevin-not Elitchs).

Kevin responded within an hour to my email indicating that I needed to make an appointment. We spoke about the issue I was having. Kevin suggested that I try to vacuum out underneath the fridge in case the coils were just clogged and needed to be cleaned. He told me to call that evening to see if that worked. When it didn't, Kevin was there first thing the next morning. He discovered that the compressor was shorted out and since the unit was only 3 years old I should call GE and get it repaired under warranty. He charged me only for the service call. As he was leaving he took another few minutes to check what he thought might be a problem with my electrical outlets. About 5 minutes after he left he called to remind me to shut off the water to the fridge until it was working again. I would highly recommend using Kevin for your repair needs.

In addition to quickly responding, he thoroughly checked out the situation and resolved it. In addition, his conversation gave us many ideas about how to better our home's efficiency.

This is a very considerate and skilled person who knows appliances. He fixed the door in about 5 minutes and then cleaned out under the refrigerator where there was a build up of lint and dust while giving me a lesson on the energy efficiency of keeping my refrigerator coils clean - something I did not know. He was very neat and clean and careful with my hard wood floors.

Prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. No nonsense with fancy truck and uniform.

Kevin was fast, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He was able to tell me over the phone what the problem probably was, and about how much it would cost. He turned out to be right in his guess about the problem, and the cost was approximately what he said it would be. (The cost was slightly more because he found an additional unexpected problem.) I was very happy with his work, and will use his services again in the future.

Kevin was pleasant and professional and was able to come out the next day. He was able to diagnose the problem over the phone, which meant he was able to have the correct part with him when he arrived. He was pleasant, efficient, and tidy. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again. Price seemed reasonable, though we really didn't shop around.

The refrigerator in my new house had a frozen puddle of water in the freezer section. Since the swamp cooler valve is behind the fridge, I wanted to find someone to fix the fridge and turn on the swamp cooler at the same time. I didn't mention that the swamp cooler was on the roof so he didn't bring a ladder on his first visit. The fridge was fixed and Kevin offered all sorts of tips for me as a first-time-homeowner. He came back a second time to finish the swamp cooler and also helped with a couple of unrelated problems (a jammed weed-eater, for one.) The fact that he didn't bring a ladder the first time was initially frustrating but turned out to be lucky for me since he helped with other things that came up between visits. I didn't ask for an estimate before starting the work, so the bill was a bit of a surprise. Included a service call fee plus hourly charge. I should have asked up front. For the work that was done, it was a fair price.

I called him while he was on another call. He called me back within 5 minutes, and was at my house 15 minutes after that. After figuring out what was wrong with both appliances, he ran down to the place where he gets new parts (I-70 & Pecos), came back, and quickly finished up the jobs. Total time from phone call to him finishing: about 2 hours (not bad). I have two attention-seeking dogs, and he was very friendly with them--he's a dog person.

The repairs seem to fine so far, but the time billed for the repairs was way too much. He had to bring in other repair guys to help him finish the job and he billed me for over three times as much time for repairs than previous repair services have billed.

Awesome! He pointed out the object jamming my water dispenser, and stayed until the machine ran a cycle.

Very well. Fixed pump without ordering new part. Prompt and thorough.

We were able to reach Kevin easily and he fit us in quickly. He called the morning of the appointment to confirm and arrived on time. He removed the part that needed replacing and took it with him. It took less than one-half hour. He called when the part was in, and came out within two days to replace it. This visit took less than an hour. The cooler was up and running.

Our side by side refrigerator suddenly stopped making ice and the refrigerator was not cooling well at all. After a few hours of research we had determined our appliance was approximately 20 years old. I contacted a couple of potential suppliers from Angie's list. Kevin was very personable on the phone and up front about the potential scope of repairs. He indicated he would not advise attempting to repair the refrigerator if the compressor had failed but Kevin indicated that compressors don't fail very often. The following day Kevin arrived at our house and after 20 minutes had determined the problem was in a fan that forces cold air into the refrigerator compartment. He estimated the total cost of repair would be $200 and left to purchase the part. At the parts store Kevin found out the part would be more than he thought and called to reconfirm our desire to proceed. He had the appliance back in working order and clean after 30 minutes. We would heartily recommend Kevin.

After returning from 5 days out of town to a warm refrigerator, I called Kevin at 8 am and he was at my house by 11 with the needed part. He came to central Denver (Wash Park) from Arvada in a snow storm. Very personable guy. Does all the repairs himself, no asst. After finished repair, he vacuumed out all of the dust from under the fridge.

He arrived and checked out the dishwasher but said it would cost more to repair it than to buy another one. Then he checked out the garbage disposal and it had a bearing out so I had him remove the old one and install a new one.

With our side by side refrigerator going out on a Friday night we kept the doors closed to keep what cold was left in. On Saturday morning I contacted Kevin and after asking a few questions he seemed to know exactly what would fix it. He made the trip to Aurora and fixed our fridge/freezer promptly. I would not hesitate to call him again for any appliance repair.

Kevin was great to work with. He set up a meeting time with the renter however he ran a little late and the renter couldn't wait. He rescheduled and made the repair.

Kevin got my dishwasher working again. I don't think any other repair company would have taken the time to pick out the pieces of zip lock bag that had mysteriously gotten into the works. He's the kind of repair person who wants to understand what went wrong and save the customer money. That's a good thing!

I called in a panic due to the hot days and the prospect of no air conditioning. He came that morning and fixed it! He only charged a very minimal service charge. He's great. I will definitely call him again and recommend him to friends.

Kevin is great. He showed up within 2 hours of calling him. He gave us an estimate to fix the dishwasher. The actual repairs ended up being a little more than the estimate, but still fair. Although he didn't have the part he needed with him, he did return the next day with the replacement motor and had it installed within an hour. He even fixed a few things surrounding the dishwasher (the cabinet door was loose) without being asked. He only takes cash or check of which I had neither to pay him at the time. He left his address and asked that I mail a check to him. I will certainly call Kevin again for large appliance repair.

Kevin came out and removed the bottom panel of the oven and drawer below to access the burner. He turned the oven on and explained how the globe works and what happens when the gas enters and lights the oven. It appeared to be working alright. He said the globe may have to be replaced in the future, as, like a light bulb, they do wear out. He re-started the oven several times to ensure it was working properly, helped me record the model number if I need it in the future and re-assembled the parts. I mentioned a leak in my hot tub, which he looked at for no additional charge and he gave me ideas on where the leak could be coming from. No repair could be done as it was full of water!

When I described the problem to Kevin, he said he was afraid I might need a new motor but would research a few other things first. He found the sock and removed it and saved me about $250. He could have charged me for the motor and I wouldn't have known any different! Honest and punctual!
