Description of Work: Refrigerator at my Rental Property was not cooling. Called Kevin of Angie's List and explained the problem. He was very responsive and asked if he can take a look at in the afternoon. I gave him the tenets information and scheduled a time with them and got the appliance repaired. He called back and explained the issue. I am happy with is overall service level.

Description of Work: Washer was over filling and not stopping .

Description of Work: Diagnosed and fixed furnace that was not producing heat.

Description of Work: Undercounter wine cooler stopped working. Kevin found that the fan that draws air over the cooling fins was shot and replaced the fan. But it took a couple of tries to get it right, yet he stayed with it until it was done.

Description of Work: Service call to diagnose LOUD noise with my refrigerator. Returned in the same week with parts to replace the motor and fan.

Description of Work: I had a washer that had given up working, washing. I called Kevin in to give me an opinion of the problem, what it would take to fix it and the cost. He requested to have clear access to the washer when he got there, which I understand, but explained to him I am handicapped and would do the best I could, but may not be able to do all he wanted, and he said "don't worry about it, we'll get it done and do what we have to". Of course i still did what i could, but he was great at helping with those things I couldn't do and it was no problem! He diagnosed a bad transmission, gave me the replacement cost which he thought was bordering on "buying a new washer would be more cost efficient". He gave me some time, days, to think it over and research costs of new machines with the same features on my disabled machine. After that review by me, I decided it was cost efficient for me to have him replace the transmission so i could retain the same features in the machine I already had as my research showed it would cost more to replace it. So I called him back and he came out that day to do the work. When he got into it, he found something he was expecting and had to go after "another part". When he got back, he had the machine fixed in less than half an hour and came to me with "some good news, and some bad news...." The bad news was he had made a mistake on his initial analysis and it was NOT the transmission at fault. The good news was, it was a cheaper part, a breaking thing, I think, that cost the $140 instead of the transmission at close to $400!!!! That $140 included the intial $38 diagnosis visit, so I got a sweet deal, fast service and a washer running better than new!!!! And once again he was very mindfull, considerate of my handicapped abilities and helped move things out of his way and replace them afterwards for which I am very greatful!!!

Description of Work: I have used Kevin’s Kwality Appliance in the last 18 months for appliance repair.

Description of Work: Kevin was very professional when he came out to look at the fan on my Jenn Air stove. This stove in particular has had many problems in the past. He was curteous and punctual and found the problem. He then called a few days later to tell me how much the part was and what it would cost. I have not decided whether to fix this stove or just get a new one at this point. I would, however, recommend Kevin for appliance diagnostic and repair.

Description of Work: I had 3 issues. The first was a burner on my stove that didn't work. The second was the ice maker in the refrigerator and the third was the dishwasher was not getting dishes clean.

Description of Work: There was a leaking hose. He had to order the part and replace it.

Description of Work: Kevin researched and assessed our dishwasher problem and suggested we get a new one, gave information about cleaning around the motor of our GE Monogram fridge, trouble-shooted our disposal problem, got back to us about how make a quick fix to our Wolf range gas burner. All-in-all, Kevin provided us with some valuable information about our appliance.

Description of Work: Called Kevin 12/17/2011 about washer that was out of balance and I had company company in a week. He said he would call me back in an hour. Did not hear from him until 12/20/2011. Told me he had been out of town and went over issues and type of washer again. I asked if he could repair before Sat am because I had company coming for Christmas. He assured me he would fit me in either Wed (12/21) or Thurs (12/22). Told me he would call when he was coming out. I told him I had quite a bit to do but would stay close to the house both days. I called his number twice Wed/Thurs, both times went right to voice mail, left message asking when he would be here. I never heard from him again. I did not call another repair person because I trust Angies List and Kevin had such a good rating. It is very frustrating to see other comments about his great service on the very days he agreed to come fix my washer. Very unprofessional and I would not recommend him at all.

Description of Work: Our microwave, double oven and refrigerator were all damaged by a power surge though the electrical panel. We didn't know that could happen. He said when we get the whole house power surge installed to also add extra grounding. (We had an electrician advise us about this prior to Kevin's visit) He ordered a new control board for the oven before he came out to our house and did not charge us in advance ($244). He was pretty sure that replacing that part would take care of it. He replaced it and sure enough you could tell there was electrical damage on the old part. Once he installed the new part the oven started working again (hooray!). He advised that the control panel in the microwave may not be the only damaged component and that it may be the same amount amount or less to buy a new one. He also ordered the part for our refrigerator and installed that at a later visit.

Description of Work: The work was: Diagnose and repair a non-functional dishwasher. Kevin suspected a clog right away, as I had when I called him. He opened the bottom front panel to look for unexpected trouble and/or water damage. Finding none, he pulled the hose that runs to the house drain (NOT easy due to a built-in sharp U-turn in the hose). He disconnected a clog-likely section of the hose and cleaned it out, showing me the small pieces of some plastic item that had blocked enough other material to clog the hose. He reassembled the hose, and re-fitted it into our house drain, routing it through a better path between the machine and the drain. He tested a few times to ensure that the machine was working properly. The whole operation took just a few minutes.

Description of Work: Kevin readjusted the door and also tightened the gasket around the door to make a better seal.

Description of Work: Kevin was great. He gave it his all, but my microwave was a gonner! He made the recommendation that I should replace the appliance and not spend the money and time to repair it, that it would be cheaper to do so. I noticed on his website that he does misc. 'honey dos' and he even helped with assembling shelves for me. He stayed 3 hours +. I will definitely give him a call again if necessary.

Description of Work: Kevin was awesome and very determine to fix our refrigerator problem. We were having problems with our ice maker and he had to replace two seperate items during two seperate service calls yet kindly only charged us for one visit.He seems very wise and fun to work with.

Description of Work: Our refrigderator stopped cooling Saturday night. We cleaned the cooling fins and verified the fan was working, but this did not help. We called Sunday morning, and Kevin came out within an hour. He diagnosed the problem promptly (not the compressor, thank goodness), replaced the failed part, replaced a leaking water line, and now the fridge is working fine again, all within an hour or so of his arrival. We are very pleased with the work, the responsiveness and the professionalism. Top marks.
