Kevin's Kwality Appliance

Kevin is great. He has helped me on a few projects. He is especially good for unusual circumstances that are hard to troubleshoot.

It was a pleasure doing business with Kevin. He is an easy going but very competent guy who made everything from the phone call to set up the appointment, to the appointment itself, through the follow-up .... easy, efficient and fun. Two appliances fixed in one day and for less than I had been quoted by a big name competitor, "to come out and take a look" at one of them.

After my beloved (and honest) service tech of 10 years retired, I wasn't sure who to use or more importantly, who to trust. Hopefully kevin will fill those shoes; he was very kind, knowledgeable, courteous and professional. Best of all he repaired without trying to "sell" me something. I will not hesitate to use him again.

Kevin was extremely helpful, courteous, professional and friendly - and I didn't pay him anything! I called because my washing machine had stopped functioning, only emitting the low electrical hum that indicated an electric motor attempting to turn but prevented from working by something in it's drive train has seized. The thing was full of water, and I assumed I was looking at a substantial repair bill.Kevin responded to my phone call on a Saturday, and on a holiday (Labor Day) weekend at that. Kevin informed me that the symptoms indicated a non-functioning drain pump in the machine, and encouraged me to try syphoning the water from the washer, and further explained that his experience informs him that a foreign object stuck in the pump was common. The advised syphoning worked, and with the machine finally light enough to move, I was able to discover the service cover on the back, remove the cover and find the pump easily accessible as Kevin had suggested it would be. To my delight the pump was fairly easy to remove and disassemble, and as predicted, I found a quarter coin in the pump. The entire job took me only a few hours (I suspect I could do it in far less now that I know what to expect and where to look - and that Kevin could have done it in a small fraction of the time), and now I have a fully functioning washer again. Whenever I'm faced with an appliance problem that's beyond my capabilities to fix, Kevin's Kwality Appliance is the only place I'll call, and I recommend him without reservation to anyone needing help with an appliance in the Denver metro area. I couldn't have done better, been happier, and I'm confident your experience with Kevin, regardless of the specifics of your problem, will be equally rewarding. I'm _so_ glad I found Kevin on Angie's list, and now not at all surprised at the numerous kudos his customers have written there.

fore I really screwKevin is prompt - he arrives when he says he will (give or take a few depending on his schedule). He always calls if he's going to be late.He know a lot about appliances. I have an oldish Kenmore dryer that quit heating. Thinking I could save some coin by doing it myself, I opened up the back of the dryer and say the wires and the other "stuff." Uh oh! I thought before I really screw things up, I better call someone who knows what he's doing. I had Kevin come to my house on a previous washer problem and liked him, so I called him again. He asked me for the serial number. He said the heating element most likely was dead and those are hard for my model. But - he just happened to have one that may be compatible.I'm glad he did the job instead of me. He showed me where the heating element was located - behind a heat shield that would have been a bear for me to remove. But Kevin - with his years of experience - showed me how the pros do it. He had the dryer up and running within 20 minutes. A job that would have taken me - a rank amateur - many more hours, if not days, to fix. Thanks Kevin!ed

I selected Kevin's Kwality Appliance based on reviews on Angie's List. I later learned that Kevin preferred not to service my address which he indicated he would be changing. In my opinion this criteria should be accurate at all times for all service providers. Additionally, I prefer utilizing service providers who are a little more technically savvy - just a personal preference though. This is in no way intended to be a reflection of Kevin's work or business rather information I chose to share. Thank you.

Kevin is simply the best and knows about just about everything in the house. He gave me a free walk around and looked at the AC unit outside when he was here and pretty much disclaimed services that another provider said I needed. He does a good job, does not try and sell you anything

One of my A/C units stopped working and I don't know much about them. I first called Applewood Plumbing & Heating and received a quote that I thought was ridiculously high. The technician said I needed a new capacitor and a new fan motor and quoted me $1,260 to replace both. I decided to get a second opinion and called Kevin. He came out the same day, tested the capacitors and found out that I didn't need a new fan motor, just a new capacitor. I ended replacing the capacitor on both units for $230 by going with Kevin. Kevin was professional, on-time and clearly knows what he is doing. I will definitely use him in the future.

Kevin was a great help to us. He returned our phone call and was out to check on the washing machine the next day. He found the problem and fixed it within minutes. He just charged $59 for the total amount--much less than getting a new washer!

He was careful with our new carpet, and spent time teaching me how to do it myself!

I called Kevin on a Saturday with a Dryer that had no heat and he answered his phone. We spoke about getting an estimate and he was very clear, friendly, and punctual. He arrived for the appointment promptly and communicated effectively the entire time. He completed the repairs and was $263 cheaper than the first estimate that we had received from another company. I would highly recommend Kevin and will call him first whenever we have an issue to which we can use his services. Excellent service and experience!

Called Kevin and got a call back the next day. He apologized and stated he'd gotten a new cell phone and didn't know how to work it yet, so he'd gotten behind on returning calls. No matter, he came out that day, told us immediately what it would take to repair our Maytag washer. He also recommended replacing a belt, which was very reasonably priced, which would save us another service call sooner rather than later. He was very friendly and even accommodated my schedule for his service call to make the repairs. Would highly recommend Kevin!

Great .. If I decide to repair this thing I"ll definitely use him

Our refrigerator stopped working on Saturday. I called Kevin on Monday morning and he was out within an hour and had it fixed within 2 hours.

I called and made an appt. to have a spring replaced in our microwave door and to take a look at our refrigerator door, which was making noise every time we opened it. I gave him model numbers when I made the appt. After looking at the microwave he discovered that the door had 2 springs and he only brought one. He said he would have to order the other one because he wasn't sure which one was broken. He looked at our refrigerator, but said he wasn't sure if the door hinge assembly was in one piece of two. He said he would have to do some research and would get back to me and would provide me with an estimate. After about 10 days I called him wondering where the estimate was. He said he had some other work come up but promised to get back with me soon with an estimate. I never heard back from him. After another week, I contacted Lee's Appliance and Refrigeration to schedule an appt.

Kevin was a pleasure to work with. He is very professional and his experience shows in how and what he does. It is a delight to work with someone that truly wants to help the customer and is also willing to explain exactly what he is doing and how you can do things better in the future (maintenance wise). His actual charges, when subtracting the parts cost (heating element), were extremely reasonable. Thank you Kevin. Mike

Kevin was very helpful and timely both times that I talked to him on the phone.

Prompt, professional, honest- we couldn't ask for anything more!! We awoke to find that our refrigerator and freezer had failed during the night. I called Kevin at 7 AM and left a message describing our problem and asking for a call. Within an hour Kevin called. He walked me through steps I could take that might fix the issue without a service visit (or fee), but I explained that I was not at home and preferred that he come out. We have an LG unit, and even though other shops said that parts would take 3-5 business days to order, Kevin said that some parts were "universal", and that he stocked them on his truck. Even though the heat wave was keeping service techs extremely busy he was out within two hours. He as able to fix the problem using stock parts- less than $200 and our refrigerator/freezer was back working perfectly.

Kevin was a dream to work with in terms of being an absentee landlord. My tenant said that the dishwasher was having problems and not running right and very loud. Kevin worked directly with my tenant to schedule a service call. Upon looking over my dishwasher, Kevin determined that to fix it was not worth the costs and it was better to get a new dishwasher - he even had shopped for some and recommended me to one. I purchased the dishwasher and Kevin picked it up from Lowes directly and installed the unit himself. He even said that the old dishwasher had leaked onto the hardwood floors. He took the time to wipe it all up/clean that area for me. He also took the time to show my tenant how to work the new dishwasher and where the filter was in case it needed to be cleaned. I am very happy with Kevin and his professionalism and honesty was great to work with over the phone since I was not in the same state as my rental. I definitely recommend and would use Kevin again.

My fridge was starting to not cool because the freezer coils were getting iced and blocking the air flow. Kevin called me about 30 mins after I left a message. Kevin tried to walk me through a diagnosis over the phone but was unable to. He offered to explain what might need to be done if I wanted to self-fix the problem. I opt'd to have him come out and do the repair for me and he arrived less than 90 minutes later. I'm glad I had him come down because diagnosing the problem was not a slam dunk. Kevin found the culprit (defrost thermostat) and promptly replaced. He also explained what he was doing and why (to both me and my daughter). Kevin charged me less than originally quoted and we had a nice chat about some mutual interests.

My washing machine would not work. It was giving a code that indicated there was something wrong with the door latch. I called Kevin and he came out the next morning. He moved the washer out further and tried to start it and it worked just fine. He went ahead and checked all of the wires and stayed to make sure it was running properly. He did charge for the service call but said if it happens again within 30 days he would not charge another service call to come out and fix it. He was very helpful.

Still have to buy the part, but if I can't get the washer fixed, I will call Kevin and I know he can.

I was happy with the work he performed. He's an "A" guy all the way.
