Description of Work: We had a KitchenAid dishwasher that quit on us. We called Kevin and he was out the next day. It turned out we needed a new motor, which he purchased and installed. During the installation he noticed a couple of small leaks in the drain hose and also a broken door pulley system; all of which he repaired quickly. I could not be more pleased.

Description of Work: my refrigerator has been making a strange sound for the last week. i called kevin to schedule an appointment. he answered his phone (a huge plus in my book) and talked me through assessing the problem. i managed to fix a very minor problem on my own. he could easily have come to my house and charged me for it, but didn't. i appreciate that.

Description of Work: I left a voice mail message with Kevin, twice, 4 days apart, regarding a problem with our refrigerator and he neglected to return either call.

Description of Work: I called Kevin and explained the issue I was having with my KitchenAid Dishwasher (cycle did not complete and clean light was flashing). He said he had seen this before and it is possible that it is an easy fix. Over the phone he found his notes on this issue and patiently walked me through the buttons to push/steps to reset. Ta-Da - it worked like magic! I had called KitchenAide and they told me there was only one thing to try with this issue: cycle the power off for one minute. If that did not fix the problem (which it did not), a technician would need to be called out. There is so much to be said for going the extra mile to help a client, even if it doesn't result in income. I will definitely use Kevin again! Thanks Kevin! Molly Withers

Description of Work: Called to have him check my icemaker on a 1 year old fridge. Took my number and the make/model. Didn't call back. I called and he said he couldn't find my fridge on the computer and that he wrote my info on the back of an envelope and missplaced it. I went to the computer and found the fridge and the parts very easily. He never did call me back.

Description of Work: I had a problem with a dryer. He was prompt in responding, very nice, honest and did the job for a fair price. Would hire again.

Description of Work: I called to have the clock/timer on the oven repleaced or repaired. I gave him the model number. Before Kevin came to fix the oven he researched the part, found it not available but that the old could be rebuilt if necessary. He came and removed the part, checked it, cleaned it and reinstalled it and it worked. Unlike other services that require at least two visits at $75 to $125 perr visit Kevin did his home work and then came to see what he could do. A very pleasant experiece with a very knowledgeable service man.

Description of Work: After Sears charging me $130 for 5 mins. looking @ my gas range and telling me they couldn't diagnose the issue until I replace my gas line...which actually turned out to be just loose, I turned to Angie's list. Kevin looked at the hose & then diagnosed the internal components causing the issue. Due to part costs, we elected to buy a new stove & he helped me research key things to look for in making my decision. Lowes delivered but the install fee was high. Ken ended up coming back to disconnect old range & install a new one. He didn't charge extra & for multiple visits he charged less than Sears. Yes, he is sociable. I believe the previous comments about Kevin's discontent with the President are unfair. While I proudly voted for Obama as the previous poster, but we do live in a free country and I hired Kevin to be my repairman regardless of his political views. He is VERY honest, great prices, and timely. I will definitely use him again.

Description of Work: Kevin is outstanding and while I have not used him yet, you can tell outstanding service when you hear it. My washer is currently making a huge noise but working still. I called Kevin and he calmly talked me thru a bunch of troubleshooting steps for free as I was searching for information, how to get a panel off, etc etc while a very noisy washer was in the background. He walked me thru some options to DIY this weekend and if I fail (which is often :) I will give him a call back first on this or any other issues I run into. He could have easily held off and tried to charge me for a visit.

Description of Work: Kevin fixed our ice maker when everyone else said to buy a new one. He is also pet friendly; loved our little doxie-dog right on the spot. We'll use Kevin again for sure.

Description of Work: I melted a plastic strainer in my oven and thought I was going to have to replace it. Kevin managed to completely clean the oven and I ended up having to only replace one part. I was more expensive then it should have been because I tried to remove a part myself (lost a part inside the oven which he had to retrieve) and threw away a part that he probably could have salvaged.

Description of Work: Kevin did a great job talking to my wife about the need to keep the refrigerator clean so that the compressor doesn't over work. He showed her how to do it and was very polite and professional. He did show up a little later than our appointment time but called to keep her informed of his progress on another project.

Description of Work: We needed the washing machine fixed. Prompt call back, great response time and reasonable cost.

Description of Work: Installed new dishwasher and new kitchen sink faucet. Also repaired the instant hot water heater attached to kitchen sink.

Description of Work: Our refrigerator was turning off intermittedly. We called Kevin this morning, and he could fit us in almost immediately. He was here on time, and diagnosed the problem as being the wall outlet, not the fridge. In a few minutes, it was fixed. He said he would normally charge $50, but he only charged us $30.
