Jimmy and his employee did a great job and I would recommend them to anyone.

Jimmy and his assistant Paul were terrific and I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to friends. From initial planning through execution, Jimmy impressed me with his creativity and his communication skills - I happened to be traveling abroad for the first half of the job and he made sure to update me every night with pictures and a progress report. You just don't comes across that level of service anymore! Jimmy says his strength is tiling, but the range of his skills go well beyond that (although his tile job was SHARP!).

I hired AKA Tile &Stone to replace large porcelain tile in my kitchen, dining room and entrance. The work hasn't started yet as our schedules haven't meshed, but I interviewed four other companies and knew this one was for me. Jimmy has provided me with all the information I need to make good decisions about this project and I'm anxious to get it going in a few weeks! More later!

Jimmy has knocked it out of the park again. He has remodeled two of my bathrooms and has now done an awesome job on my downstairs floor and kitchen back splash.

At the end of our first meeting with Jimmy my husband and I had decided that we wanted him to be our contractor for our bath and kitchen remodel. We got 3 bids for our project and Jimmy asked at least a dozen thoughtful questions that the other contractors didn't bother with. We were very impressed with his breadth of knowledge and how thorough he was. Given the attention to detail and strong reviews we thought his bid might come in at a higher price but it was very fair compared to our 2 others. Communication was constant and very proactive. Jimmy and his team are very pleasant to work with as well. The work he did was absolutely beautiful. This remodel was updating a condo that we were preparing to sell and the condo was under contract at full price within 3 days of hitting the market. The buyer came back to us with one inspection request in the bathroom and my husband and I were fully prepared to pay for the change. Jimmy insisted on doing the work himself without any charge to make sure that everything went smoothly with our sale. My husband and I are already planning to contact Jimmy and only Jimmy when we do a backsplash install and bathroom remodel in our home. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company for any project.

First of all, this was an exceptionally small job. It was important to me to have a skilled person do the work as it was cutting into tiles in an existing shower. I called another person who said the job was too small to take on. I so appreciate that Jimmy was willing to do this even though his schedule is very busy. He showed up at the agreed upon time. His work was great. You would not know the shelves were added to the showers afterwards. He was very neat considering what a messy job it is. He left the bathrooms very neat and clean when he was finished. If I ever need any tile work done, there is no doubt I would have Jimmy do the job.

Jimmy and his partner were very prompt. He kept me in the loop every step of the way and I was extremely comfortable giving complete access to my home during the installation process. He installed a top quality grout that will resist most stains for the granite tile counters. They were both very courteous and nice people. I have had many compliments on the work!

Jimmy was terrific to work with! He helped us decide about using ceramic tile for wear and tear. He made suggestions on some places to preview colors, etc. I didn't know initially we were out of his work area, but he committed to doing the job anyway. He was cheerful, answered questions, and worked late into the last day because he said he promised he would finish on Tuesday, and he did. The floor looks beautiful. We are very happy with the results. We think the ceramic will wear well and it will be worth our spending a bit more for the stain free grout. We have a large dog and that is the area she is at much of the time, so the stain free will be great. Thanks Jimmy for a terrific job. And thanks for your pleasant attitude and hard work ethic!!!

Things went very well. Jimmy is very professional, trustworthy, and responsive. Jimmy gave me a quote and then waited patiently while I selected the tile I wanted to use. This selection process took me a long time and when I contacted Jimmy to say I was ready he remembered me and was ready to begin the work very soon thereafter. The work began when he said it would begin and ended when he said it would end. They arrived punctually each day and kept me apprised of progress. I was very surprised to find out that every day they left the path between the front door and the bathroom cleaner than it was when they arrived. They came back on a Saturday to touch up a couple of spots after the caulking had dried and then Jimmy himself came again on Sunday to make some final touches and to make sure I was pleased. My bathroom is beautiful. It looks new, and I would highly recommend Jimmy any time. I plan to have him do my other bathroom.

Called Tile & Stone for estimate on doing back splash in the kitchen. Because it was a small job, many contractors did not want to do it. Tile & Stone was happy to give me an estimate and then do the work. They were on time, finished when they said they would, cleaned up after themselves, and overall did an excellent job. I would readily recommend Tile & Stone to anyone.

Smooth! From start to finish, James kept us thoroughly informed (via emails, text messages and phone calls) of his progress. Our master bathroom is beautiful! James is truly a master in his field!

Oh My Goodness! This turned out way better than we had hope for. I'm so glad I did not decide to do this myself. Jimmy and Paul arrived as scheduled (after a few unexpected delays) and started to work. First off was to tear out the old tile and drywall. During the whole process, they protected the floor, hauled away all the trash and materials, were considerate towards our pets, the cats hid but the dog wanted to help, and cleaned up after each day of work. Jimmy kept us both informed of what was happening and addressed our concerns when asked. Each day they both arrived ready and willing to tackle the task at hand. We felt sorry for Paul since he had to keep running up and down the stairs bringing tools and supplies! Jimmy also removed an old water softner in our basement while they were here. The transformation from the old the new is AMAZING! Still getting use to having a shower door now, but it looks great. Very Please with all Jimmy and Paul did for us in a weeks time.

When I first started getting quotes for my bathroom remodels, Jimmy wasn't the cheapest but he was one of the less expensive quotes. I decided to go with him because he had good reviews and I liked him when I met him. He gets pretty booked out because of his good reputation and repeat business but he has always been able to start my projects within a month or two. He's always asked me to get the majority of the materials, which makes things go pretty quickly. Whenever there is a problem, he's great at explaining it and offering multiple solutions. Jimmy will never surprise you with extra costs without getting your approval first. The two small bathrooms upstairs took about 2-3 weeks and were complete gut remodels with features like glass tiles and mid range vanities. We've been using them for over a year now and haven't had a single problem or any signs of wear and tear. They look brand new. We brought Jimmy back again a couple months ago to redo a powder bath and install an oven hood. Just as our experience the first time, he started work exactly when he said he would, solved a few problems that popped up quickly and overall did flawless work. If we weren't moving, I'd be contacting him again today for the next batch of projects. All in all, Jimmy is a great guy, an honest contractor and does exceptional work. I can't imagine anyone who has a clear idea of what they want not being happy with his work. Highly recommended!

From beginning to end, Jimmy worked around our schedule. He came and gave us a bid on a Sunday, and was able to get us taken care of in a week. He had to not only schedule around his other customers, but also the plumbers working in our basement. The crew was always on time, and stayed within our time frame and budget. I would recommend them to everyone.

Jimmy and team are a pleasure! We hired Jimmy to tile our cement laundry room floor. We wanted to purchase the product and have him do the installation. He made great suggestions regarding the tile purchase and produced a perfect result with 2x2 mosaic tile. This was the best home service experience I've ever had. Jimmy's nature is easy going which makes him very easy to work with and schedule, he is extremely professional, highly skilled and affordable. The experience and craftsmanship far exceeded expectation based on our other less favorable home project experiences (unrelated to Jimmy & Co) . I will not hesitate to hire Jimmy for any and all future tile projects and he will be my first referral to family and friends.

No complaints at all. He was on time, did the work in a professional manner, and finished within our time frame.

Jimmy did a very large project for us last fall ? three baths, entry and laundry. He brought creative ideas and a meticulous eye for detail. He is a true tile artist. Sometimes Jimmy didn't show up as scheduled and expected. Sometimes we felt we were playing second fiddle to his other job, his recording studio. Overall, we've been very happy with the results and would work with Jimmy again.

My experience was fantastic! Unfortunately I have to work with many vendors on our house to repair misc issues from the construction and Jimmy has been one of the best experiences. He arrived when promised and had a wonderful attitude! He explained what was needed in a logical fashion and allowed me to take pictures as we progressed. He also kept me updated every step of the way! The price was very fair and I felt like the quality of work was outstanding. There was a challenge regarding matching the existing tile but Jimmy was able to complete the project and you would never know the work had been done! He has a great eye for detail and seems to work as if it were his own house. I will certainly be calling him again for future projects and recommending him to all my friends!

James said the estimate would arrive in about a week. After a week, he said it would be a few more days, but unfortunately, he never did submit an estimate for the job. I think there were other things going on in his life at the time, but I also have the impression that his popularity on the list has overwhelmed him. At our one and only meeting (in January) he said that he was booked through March. So it would have been a long wait anyway.

I would highly recommend them. He did an excellent job and the price was really good. We were really able to afford solid granite so he was able to do this job. He sealed it and it's working out really well, we love it.

All work was personally done by Mr. Strickler (Jimmy) except for drywall resurfacing, for which he subcontracted another professional. His calendar was booked out approximately 3 months but the quality of the work was worth the wait. Once initiated, job was completed in approximately 2 weeks, which seemed reasonable considering the multiple steps involved and some extra plumbing and construction work I requested after start of job. Jimmy was very knowledgableabout all aspects of the job, planned the project and advised me appropriately regarding selection and purchasing of materials, and executed the project with care and precision. He does particularly nice tile work -- all tiles, joints and grout lines are very exact and look very professional. Jimmy is a genuinely very nice individual who communicated clearly and was a consistent pleasure to work with. I am very pleased with the finished result and would hire Jimmy again for another bathroom remodel or tile project.

He was completely reasonable and did very good work. He is very skilled at what he does. His work on the tile in our bathroom is absolutely flawless. We bought all the supplies and he charged us for the labor.

I appreciated Jimmy's work on so many levels. First, the price is really fair and reasonable, and the work he does is incredibly professional. For our stone fireplace install, we discovered after he started the project that the kinds of stones I had purchased would not give me the look I was hoping for "as is". Jimmy cut almost every stone on four sides to create a nice, stacked stone look that we couldn't have gotten otherwise. It was a very technical situation, and I really appreciated him putting in the extra effort with me to figure out a way to use the stone and make it look great. I asked him back to do the tiling and some finish work in our bathroom that we were remodeling. He did a treat job tiling the floor. He also installed the bath cabinets for me, and because of the unusual design of the cabinets and our existing plumbing in the walls, he had to get very creative to accomplish the install and reroute some of the plumbing to make it all work. Overall, just a great experience and we'll definitely have him back for more work as needed.

We could not have had a better experience with a contractor. The job was started the date and time he promised and from the beginning we felt confident in the quality of work that would be done. He is trustworthy, respectful, calm and quiet (never heard anger or a single swear word!). Protected surrounding surfaces and cleaned up, with his own shop vac, every day and most importantly got along well with our two golden retrievers, Our bathroom had all of the original fixtures, etc. The demo was done quickly and all of the old stuff was taken away the first day. We never had to look at the Harvest Gold things again! He helped clear and clean a staging area in the garage (and fixed the door between the house and the garage while he was at it!). The tile work is excellent! We picked a patterned porcelain tile with a decorative strip in the shower. The floor tile was put in on an angle and all of the cuts were perfect. He matched the pattern between tiles as much as possible and installed bull nose tile as the molding. Although ne normally does not do the painting, my husband and I were not physically up to the task so went out of his way to paint for us. He did an excellent job and the nominal fee was well worth it. He also fixed the stair railing, which was unsteady and not safe, filled some holes in the garage to prevent gas fumes from entering the house and did a repair to another faucet in the house. He did not take time away from the remodel for these repairs and charged only for the supplies. We would hire him again in a heart beat!
