I am very pleased and satisfied with the job they performed for me. They were very clean, respectful and punctual. When they said they would be here, they were and when they said they will be gone by a certain time they were. It took about two days to complete.

Hot and cold. The company's lead for this kind of work, Art Esquibel, and was knowledgeable and friendly, but not very responsive. He was late for the initial appointment. He promised an estimate later that morning, but it didn't come for two days (and only after a couple of calls). Once I accepted the estimate, it took him several more days to call back to schedule the work. The work itself seemed to be done well, but the workers left a big mess in the basement. They had to chip out some concrete and simply left all of the concrete on the basement floor where it landed.
Description of Work: Heat Exchange installed a flue liner.

WE HIRED HEAT EXCHANGE THROUGH THE HOME DEPOT. THE JOB WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE A MAXIMUM OF 2 DAYS. THEY WERE ALSO SUPPOSED TO ARRANGE FOR A REBATE FROM TRANE. THE JOB TOOK 3 MONTHS TO FINISH BECAUSE THEY NEVER RETURNED PHONE CALLS AND THEY NEVER CAME BACK. I HAD TO ARRANGE FOR INSPECTIONS, AND THERE WERE THREE INSPECTIONS BEFORE THE JOB WAS COMPLETED BECAUSE THE INSPECTOR KEPT FINDING THINGS WRONG. WE NEVER GOT OUR TRANE REBATE. AFTER TALKING TO OTHER A/C PROFESSIONALS ABOUT THE JOB, AND HAVING MORE QUOTES, WE FOUND OUT THAT THEY INSTALLED THE WRONG COIL FOR THE A/C AND WE ARE ONLY GETTING ABOUT 75% PERFORMANCE ON IT. THE INSTALLATION WAS MESSY AND UNPROFESSIONAL. OVERALL THIS WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Edit: It's 6 years later and I am still furious with these people. Their rebuttal is full of un-truths. There were no "Tenants", I was living there with my wife and room-mate. The rottweiler they were scared of was confined in a dog run. He was a She. She never got out of her dog run while the contractors were there. If the contractors had to do extra wiring, it is their own fault for not calling. I worked 4 miles from home and told them I would come home to entertain the dog if necessary. The Trane rebate was promised by Home Depot, so I suppose I should address that with them. I did attempt to contact the contractor, they never returned my calls... maybe because they knew they had messed up and didn't want to have to pay their supposed 100% money back guarantee. The first contractor's comments regarding the work of the secondary contractor only goes to prove that Heat Exchange Systems has a poor attitude towards their clients. I hope they're out of business by now.

First of all, we treat all of our customers with the utmost respect. We are confused by the member's remarks, as he never called us regarding the coil issue as described. It was very hard to reach the member to address the issues that we knew about, as he lived in Colorado Springs and had renters at this location. The renters had a rottweiler at the house that got out when they contained him. We were told to "just not look him in the eye." We do not expect our employees to work in harm's way. Our electricians needed to do extra wiring to avoid the dog. The member was awarded his Xcel Energy rebate which was listed on his proposal. No mention of the Trane rebate was on the proposal. We offer a 100%% money back guarantee, but the member never contacted us regarding this problem before he contacted another contractor. We installed the correct coil for the air conditioner which met the ARI standards. If the new coil that the other company installed is not the right coil, then the member has received a rebate from the utility company that is not owed to him. I was very pleased with the technician, he was prompt (early) and was extremely helpful with other questions I had on my 1965 heating unit. He was able to trouble shoot the problem quickly and give me information on how to help avoid dust build up on the burners. They also responded quickly once I called. I was very pleased and have asked them to come back to do an estimate on a new heating system.

We have used Heat Exchange for the past 10 years. Their service is the best. As soon as I called for service regarding my air conditioner not working, they sent a tech. right out that very same day. He soon found the problem and replaced a fuse on our compressor. They are the best and I wouldn't go with any other furnace/AC repair shop.

I FOUND THE TECHNICIAN TO BE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HELPFUL. HE EXPLAINED WHAT HE WAS DOING FOR EACH STEP. HE EXPLAINED HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS AND WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THE PROBLEMS. HE WAS ONLY CALLED TO EXPLORE THE LEAK BUT WENT ON TO THOROUGHLY CHECK THE SYSTEM AND CORRECTED PROBLEMS THAT I HADN'T REALLY KNOW THAT I HAD.
Description of Work: TECHNICIAN CAME TO CHECK A LEAK IN AIR CONDITIONER. FOUND THAT THE CONDENSATE DRAIN WAS CLOGGED. HE REMOVED THE CLOG AND RAN BLEACH WATER THROUGH TO CLEAN. HE CHECKED THE FILTER, COIL AND BLOWER AND FOUND THEM TO BE CLEAN. HE THEN CHECKED THE PRESSURES AND DETERMINED THAT THE SYSTEM NEED FREON WHICH HE THEN ADDED TO THE SYSTEM.
