+ -1 moreWe were so pleased with how down to earth and authentic Dicks Mechanical does business. They are not slick or fancy. They are old school, hard working guys who don't play games. It was refreshing to feel we weren't paying for advertising, websites, upscale brochures and presentations on laptops and catalogs like some other companies put us through. The prices at Dicks were reasonable because they keep it real. We expect our new furnace and a/c to work great based on the problem free installation and professional meetings with the guys at Dicks so far.
Description of Work: This company came highly recommended to us by another family. Paul responded promptly to our call for help on a furnace that was not working. He checked things out very thoroughly from our thermostat to the furnace itself, even down to the coil and duct work. He saw that the thermostat was not properly communicating with the furnace, so he fixed that and got the heat back on but he also discovered that our furnace needed to be replaced. He explained the reasons why in very easy to understand terms and showed us what was wrong in the furnace itself. We loved that he actually showed us and gave us all of the evidence indicating that our furnace was in poor condition. He did tests indicating that it was starting to give off some carbon monoxide. All through the process we felt we were in great hands. After being so comfortable and impressed by Paul's service and professional manner, we had him check out our a/c and with his guidance, we decided to replace it as well. Every step of the way, the communication was straight forward and respectful.

Description of Work: Paul from Dick 's Mechanical replaced our hail damaged AC unit out in Green Valley Ranch. He is established, local, and is doing several houses in our neighborhood. We are working with insurance adjusters but his pricing allowed us to upgrade to a more efficient unit. He is an independent small business owner without a lot of overhead but with enough experience to know what he is doing. We ended up with a goodman 13 seer unit that has a 10 yr. parts warranty.
