CUSTOM INTERIOR CONNECTION

Our experience with Custom Interior Connection was very good. The installer team was very professional and did a great job and quot;weavingand quot; the new wood in with the old. They took great care to clean up every afternoon. They also went above and beyond to make necessary tweaks to certain parts of the job to make for a better finished look.The sanding and staining was also done quickly and cleanly. The existing wood had to be taken down to bare wood to make the stain match the new wood. The dustless sander system they used left very little dust. They also used a ultra-violet cured clear coat that dries almost immediately and let us move furniture back onto the new wood soon after it was done. There were no fumes and we didn't have to move out of the house during finishing.We had a last minute change of stain color when we realized the stain we originally picked was much too red. This was handled seamlessly by Custom Interior Connection.We found a couple of small spots that needed fixing after the job was done. We called CIC and they came out and fixed the issues very quickly.

I used a hardwood floor protector that is green and comes on a roll from Lowes. In TINY letters on the inside of the label it says and quot;factory finished floors onlyand quot;. Well, as an average homeowner I would have not have known if they were factory finished or not. Plus who reads the instructions on a roll of sticky saran wrap except for how long to leave it on. The product was removed after two days yet had some kind of chemical reaction with the finish that made it look as if snails had crawled all over the floor. The product maker ended up giving a small cash allowance towards repair without admitting wrongdoing.Andy from CCI came and gave an estimate for repair. He proposed a chemical cleaning and buffing followed by two coats of finish, the second being LightSpeed UV finish that you can walk on immediately.Work was done by two employees and for whatever reason the finish looked terrible. It was 20 degrees when the work was done and for whatever reason the surface was not smooth and glossy. They worked hard but in the end the owner of the company was not happy with their report so he came out and inspected then rescheduled to reattempt one week later. The owner came the next week and attempted to buff/scuff and reapply. He too after 5 hours was not happy with the product. He apologized and we set a time for a true sand and finish at no extra cost for me. They just finished today. After 3 days of work including multiple sandings and finish coats the floor is done. Looks great. Not only are the marks from that horrible green protector gone, but the rest of the floor looks brand new.In the end I got twice the value for my money. Andy Rozo, the owner is to be congratulated on standing by his services and going the extra ten miles to do what he promised. A 3/4 day project turned into 5 full days for them. They were on time, courteous and all around professionals. I actually felt bad for all the problems they encountered.I would hire him again in an instance.

WOW! My floors were very worn and water damaged. I had been looking at laminate flooring to cover them, they were so bad. They came out fantastic. I should have taken before and after pictures. It was relatively dust free as well.

The end result looks very nice. There was some unforeseen scheduling complications that came up that caused a bit of a problem and there was a couple of questionable areas that had to be pointed out and touched up, but overall the end job looks great. The LightSpeed system allowed them to get the job done very quickly.

I contacted this company because I received an advertisement from www.qualityconnectionsse.com which stated this company offered $100.00 off of sand & Refinish of hardwood flooring. I spoke with the clerk Elaina initially. I provided her with the dimensions of the area needing to be refinished. She noted there was a minimum charge to receive the discount (my area did not meet their minimum - therefore I could not take advantage of the advertized discount). I thoroughly reviewed the company's ad in this publication and could not find this restriction/ minimum charge stated anywhere on their ad. I told Elaina that this information was not on thie advertisement and that I should therefore be given the discount ad advertized. I told Elaina that their ad stated they were a member of the Better Business Bureau and that it appeared they were misrepresenting their services. I requested that the discount be honored since their minimum was not stated anywhere for my reference. The Office Manager, Carol Rozo, returned my call and instead of honoring the discount she proceeded to give me a long song and dance about how much it cost to do the work...how many employees she had...etc. etc. She refused to honor their advertized discount. I have since done more research and have discovered that this company charges $2.50/ sq foot - whereas three other companies I called charge $2.00/sq ft AND they offer a 10% discount to Angie's List Members! I will NOT be using this company now or ever!

JOB WAS DONE QUICKLY, DUST WAS MINIMAL AND FLOORS LOOK AND FEEL GREAT.
