Castle Fresh House Cleaning

I've used Castle Fresh twice because they had some really good deals for a while. I've been impressed with them. They were very thorough and timely. I would use them again depending on the price.

They did a great job. I was very impressed. I'd give them A's across the board; punctual, very thorough, a very good job as far as doing what I asked, and going through and taking care of things they saw that I might have missed. So it was definitely a good experience. I would use them again if they could keep the price at that level, because their regular price is $150 which is decent for what you get but $69 is better.

It was great. They did everything they said they would. They were great. We would use them again because we did had a good experience. They were right on time.

The crew of 3 woman, Martha, Rachel and Jacey, were very friendly and introduced themselves. They noted every part of the house that needed extra care, and then all got straight to work. They were very thorough in polishing every windowsill, every baseboard and stair rail. Martha even cleaned an air return that was at least ten feet high! In order for them to clean the refrigerator, Martha unloaded the freezer and even put the boxes in my car. Rachel also offered to help me unload them at our new home a few blocks away. Our previous home was large with three bedrooms and lots of hardwoods and carpets. The walkthrough showed that every surface sparkled, all flooring was vacuumed and wood polished. They were able to finish in the time estimated, and the cost was less than quoted. I highly recommend this company!

We purchased a new home and were scheduled to take possession on Monday. The sellers called me on Sunday afternoon to advise they would not be out of the house by Monday because there was a mix-up with their moving company. I immediately called and emailed to let Fresh House Cleaning know that they couldn't come on Monday. It was a Sunday so of course there was no answer. On Monday morning I called again. The owner was very unhappy that I did not give him at least 1 business day notice. I told him that I gave him as much notice as I was given. He then said that he was going to charge me a fee for the lack of notice and that he would reschedule my appointment for the next available date, which was 2 weeks away. I advised that I didn't need the cleaning in 2 weeks and that I would find someone else that could come on Tuesday. I then asked him to refund me minus the fee. He called me back about an hour after that and said he had arranged for someone to come on Tuesday afternoon and would waive the fee. Because of the first unpleasant call I doc'd him in the professionalism category. But because he went out of his way to remedy the situation after that I will use this company again. The remainder of the experience with this company was great. Two Ladies came by on Tuesday. They even called to see if they could come early. The house was empty and they zipped right through the place. They did the kitchen and all appliances, both bathrooms, the base boards, window seals and all the floors. They tried to clean my hanging lanterns in the entry way but they were too high and I didn't have a ladder. Both of them were very professional and friendly. Afterward I received a call asking for a review of their performance because it's company policy to make sure the customer is happy. I gave them an A then as well. I was very pleased with the final outcome of the service.

Went well but could have been more attention to finer detail like dusting and cleaning in corners

There were 2 people who cleaned for a total of 4 man-hours. What they did was good but they did not allocate their time appropriately to do all the critical cleaning.

They cleaned two bathrooms, kitchen and vacuumed upstairs, as requested.

They did a great job and asked frequently what else I wanted cleaned. The two women were very professional, and showed up on time. They did not bring CLR which they needed to clean our shower door, leaning the shower looking like it hadn't even been cleaned. They did not clean the mildew or mold very well. I bought a deep cleaning package and they did clean behind and underneath the refrigerator and in the stove. They also moved all our furniture in the living room to clean and mop the entire wood flood.

Cleaners arrived on time, worked hard, and were professional. Some of the workers' equipment (e.g. vacuum cleaner) was broken, and they also admitted having to use their own personal cleaning equipment on occasion.

Two women arrived, perfectly on time and prepared. They did a fair job of actually cleaning most of the house. However, when I did the walk through at the end, the Master bath was not at all clean (toilet, sink, floor).. When i ask about a square of tile on the floor in front of the shower "was this cleaned?" she responded yes by hand...I ran my sponge across the floor and picked up a sponge full of dirt. Kelly promptly went about correcting the problem and explained to me that it was a result of a new girl. I just checked the rest of the master bedroom and there is dust everywhere, I just cleaned my bedroom (after having paid to have it done). When checking the laundry room, I ask was this room not included in the cleaning? The response was oh yes, and again the floor was dirty and I was able to pick up a lot of dirt on my sponge. Overall my perception is that these women are required to do far too much in too short a time. They simply could not clean it in the time allowed and therefore skipped over many details. I was also VERY unhappy with some of the cleaning supplies used on tv screens...it blurred them and again I have had to spend some of the day cleaning that up and gettin it straightened out. I would not use this service again, simply because they clearly do not think of "clean" as I do.

It was awesome. There is no way I could have done all they did in that short amount of time. My oven for example has never been scrubbed that hard, I feel like they spent at least 45 mins or more on it alone. And when I saw deep clean, i mean they even wiped the littlest detail down like my tea kettle and salt shaker. This was a birthday gift for me from my husband, and man will I wish for it again. Having three kids under four years of age, I just don't have the time or the energy to do that deep of a job all in a day. It left me feeling confident that my home was extra clean and I felt like I was getting to be a better mom because I did not have to worry about my home. The house looked amazing and those two women were a great team! On the price listed above, i believe that was the price, but it was a gift so it might be more of an estimate.

One of the ladies called me from my house to ask what I wanted done with things that were left by the tenant on the counter and in drawers. I said I didn't know what items were left since I hadn't been home yet and that she could just leave the items there. When I arrived the place looked clean but one of the spare keys was missing. I called and found out that one of the housecleaners had accidentally taken the key. She returned to leave the key after I had gone, then called me to let me know that she had gotten rid of the items left on the counters/in drawers, as if she was doing me a favor. This was actually after I had brought a new tenant through the house and told the tenant that she could have those items if she wanted. They weren't really things of value but I thought it was very unprofessional that the housecleaner had let herself in without permission. I called the owner and let him know - he agreed and said he would talk to the employee but did not offer any compensation.

They set up a time where two people came in and cleaned. They did a great job of making the place sparkle. Would def hire them again.

Cleaning was fine. Only issue was that Pledge overspray landed on the hardwood floors, turning them into a hockey rink and injuring the owner when they slipped and fell.

Two very nice women came to my door, right on time. They were here for two hours and did a very complete job of cleaning my house. Very pleasant, very efficient. I would use this service again and again. Very happy!

The two person crew arrived on time; got instructions and immediately went to work. They were easy to work with and appeared efficient. Would hire them again.

The cleaners, Shelly and Jaycee, showed up on time. I walked them around the house and let them know any specific areas I wanted them to focus on outside of the general cleaning. They went right to work. They were both friendly and courteous. Overall they did a really good job, A rating, and I would continue to bring them back on a regular basis. There were a few things I would have them do differently or pay more attention to next time which is why I gave a B rating on quality this time. 1) I wanted them to pay a little more attention to the blinds. Not a huge deal, as I didn't really specify to "clean" as in wipe down with a damp cloth. I think they probably just used a microfiber cloth or something like that. They just didn't come out as clean as I would have liked. I had pointed out a couple of other small things as they were working and they were more than happy to oblige, so had I noticed the blinds before they left, I am sure they would have been fine with giving them a quick wet wipe down. 2) They did forget to take the trash out from the laundry room and office. Again, not a big deal because there wasn't a lot. I think this could be avoided by approaching "taking out the trash" as an individual task. Gather it all up at one time from every room vs taking it out from each room separately as you clean it. This would on trash bags too. 3) The tiled floor. This was the biggie. Shelly wet mopped, I saw her do it, and I didn't really inspect before she left. I spilled something on the floor and went to wipe it up and the rag came back dirty - black even. I was really surprised. The only thing I can think of, or maybe suggest, is that they use fresh mopping pads after different sections or use more than one pad on larger floors. Again, I saw her do the work, but after it looked like maybe the dirt was just being spread around by a dirty mop pad. I think the tiled portion of our house is fairly significant and I have two dogs, so I know how dirty the floor gets. Again, not a deal breaker as I didn't really check before they left, this would just be something that I would focus on more when I have them come back.

The folks from Castle Fresh were very nice. They were both responsive and punctual. They did not, however, communicate that well with us about what we wanted (a whole house surface clean, with additional deep cleaning if time allowed), and as a result did not get to some spots, leaving us with a partially cleaned house. I've found another company that is a bit more on our page in terms of how to make the best use of our cleaning time. If you are in the market for a new cleaning company, these folks are worth a try. They just didn't work out for us.

Cleaning was overall very good. Tough to get scheduled and the company never called to follow up which I found odd since it was the first time I'd used them. Based on the quality of the cleaning I would use them again.

Absolutely perfect. The two ladies worked themselves very hard, running around and getting to as much as they could within their time limit. Bathroom and toilets were spotless, the kitchen floors were sparkling again, vacuuming, dusting, they did it all. Very professional, courteous and friendly. Will definitely use again.
