Castle Fresh has been cleaning our home for 3 years, and we are completely satisfied. The owner, Brian, is a great communicator and keeps in touch with us on a regular basis. The housekeepers always show up on time when Brian schedules them to be here, and they are dependable and reliable. We especially appreciate the quality of work done by our favorite housekeeper, Rachel. She knows our home better than we know it ourselves, and keeps in clean for us and company who comes to visit. The individuals who were assigned to the cleaning job were extremely polite and professional. They did a very good job at focusing on the agreed to areas for cleaning. Bathrooms, in particular, were cleaned very thoroughly. I received a phone call the morning of the scheduled service date indicating that the crew was ahead of schedule and could be at our house an hour earlier than the confirmation email from the night before, which was helpful. Having used prior cleaning people/services in the past, their overall performance was better than most. But I am on the fence about future use of this company (leaning toward no) for cleaning service because the scheduling process was not as quick, easy, and responsive as I would like. After purchasing the coupon I submitted an email to Castle Fresh, using a button on the Angie's List website, with suggested dates/times to schedule the work but I never received a response. I then called twice before making contact with the office in order to figure out a date that worked for both Castle Fresh and myself for the 4 hour service. I was also under the impression, from both the owner and from the crew that was here to clean the house, that Castle Fresh would follow up with me (as a first time customer), to get my feedback about their service and determine if I would like to use them again...this never happened. I just don't have the time to be the one (as the customer) to chase down a service provider in order to schedule a service or to give feedback. I also got the general impression that they have a pretty full schedule and that finding a time for scheduling cleaning service would potentially be challenging, unless you are booking weeks out. I believe that the overall customer experience is not just the service itself, but what happens before and after the service (phone calls, email exchanges, and overall responsiveness).
Description of Work: I purchased the Angie's List coupon for a $170 Whole House Deep Clean/4 hours. Based on the size of my house we prioritized areas/rooms for this 4 hour window of service. Castle Fresh provided two service people who cleaned bathrooms, floors, baseboards, kitchen, den for 4 hours.

First off, the owner called me 8:17 in the morning. Bryan, the owner said, "Sherelyn! We got a cancellation. Can we come and clean your house today?" I said, 'yes', but the employees would have to show me picture ID. Brian told me the crew did not have picture ID and he told them to go home. Then chastised me for canceling the appointment saying he wasn't going to CHARGE ME a cancellation fee this time.Rachel told me that she steam cleans the tile/stone floors but came to my house with no steamer.Scheduled to arrive at 12 noon but arrived at 1pmBrian(owner) told me I had to buy a fifth hour for $64 before they would come clean my homeDid NO windowsDid NO DUSTINGDidn't clean oven WHATSOEVERDidn't clean any counter top appliances Left GARBAGE CAN FULL&out of placeDid no dusting of furn or artwork on wallsCame here without all the proper equipment and did not advise me of this until they had been cleaning for about an hour and a half into the job. Yeah! With just one extra hour she could have cleaned the entire house. She hurriedly vacuumed the patio and declared clean leaving the dusty window sills and dirty frurniture.

I had called and scheduled the $170 service using their Angie's List coupon. The receptionist was pleasant and helpful. A few hours later, the owner (Brian) e-mailed me to say that receptionist was new and had made a mistake and that the service was actually $250 since the property was partially occupied. I wrote back suggesting that policy made little sense, as an unoccupied or partially occupied unit has less clutter and stuff to deal with. He curtly wrote back that he was cancelling my service, clearly not interested in my business. Not sure what that was all about, but I have no interest in working with them again!

Extraordinarily unprofessional company- I had an appointment for housecleaning set up weeks ago, but something very important came up last week and I had to change the date. I called and left messages THREE times over FOUR days and had no reply. Since their voice mail message actually SPECIFICALLY states that customers cannot cancel via voice mail, I was starting to get concerned that something a bit funny was going on, since they took my credit card when I set up the appointment and now couldn't be bothered to reply once to any of my messages attempting to cancel before the job date, and I didn't want my card charged or get into any kind of "you didn't cancel properly' kind of thing, which is what it was starting to look like after days without any reply. Finally I got a reply the morning of the job via email from company president Brian stating, "I haven't even gotten to your message yet because Obama pays people to stay home from work rather than show up. Did you ever think for a moment that other people exist in this world besides yourself?". Are you kidding me? I think that says it all.

three pleasant young ladies arrived and introduced themselves. I showed them my house and they proceedd to do the deep cleaning. I asked them to take down the ceiling lights and wash them because I understood this was not regularily included in their deep cleaning. However the boss told me they would do whatever I asked. They vaccumed and dusted and wiped up the floors. One girl also cleaned my refrigerator. They do not clean the stove. Actually besides the refrigerator,I did not see them doing much more than I expect from my regular cleaner every two weeks. I would not do what is called "deep" cleaning again.

Brian and Tia and her daughter were great! They only had so much time as they were booked for this afternoon, but did as much as they possibly could in the time I paid for. There were extra things I wanted done and they did as much as they could. Brian said he will come back and finish the other extras I wanted as soon as there is an opening. They worked quickly and efficiently and my house is fabulously lovely now! Brian cleaned my window wells per my request and they are just great! Such a huge job in of itself! Thanks guys! I set the appointment with Dee and when the appointment date came, she called to tell me that a crew called in sick and they didn't get the job done. I was on a tight timeline and Bryan (the owner) came by the next day with a crew and spent 5+ hours cleaning the house. The result was striking. The house smelled good and looked great. They got all the blinds, fans, baseboards, floors, bathrooms and appliances sparkling clean. It was an immediately obvious difference when I walked in the house. I was out of town during the job so Bryan wrote me a very lengthy email detailing what was done and how long each thing actually took. This was very informative and important as I'm suing the tenant and will have a long list of dirty details to share with the judge. Thanks Bryan!!

The crew showed up promptly at 8 am as scheduled and were very courteous. I showed them the areas I wanted them to focus on given the time I purchased. Notably, I had forgotten to run the oven self cleaner so I said to leave that. I work from home so it's nice not to be disturbed. They only asked 1 or 2 questions which was perfectly fine and otherwise just cleaned everything. They got a lot more done than I expected, including the oven (as best they could), making the beds, cleaning my office desk while I stepped away; everything was very nicely done. They were friendly and considerate throughout the day. I don't like spending money on something I could do, but honestly they were so much more thorough than I am it's great to have a clean house and not have spent the day doing it. I'll use them again.

Some parts were great - floors, counters, and such. However, they didn't do the fridge because they said it was too full. And I couldn't see a difference with the oven inside. They did vacuum the basement stairs really well... which was weird because I said they could skip it. Missed the ceiling fans and baseboards. Also the walls and doors (although I'm not sure if they were included in the deal). Average job overall. But very nice people!

They weren't very good. They showed up a little late. One of the cleaners wasn't able to a lot. They were nice and polite. The boss called my daughter to tell her that they stayed over the allotted time and we owed more money. She didn't feel that was accurate since they were slow to start. They didn't get to a lot of areas even though she told them not to worry about the refrigerator.

We were VERY impressed with the ladies. Due to weather, they were late (not their fault at all), and not only did they do a great job, they we so kind to my family. We had some good conversations with them as they cleaned. They were personal and professional - my daughters really enjoyed talking to them too. Although they got here late, and the weather was poor, they did not skimp on the job. Thy did the job they were asked, knowing that they had to brave the weather on the way home. There were some scheduling challenges with the holidays and illness; however, the owner made it right. I would recommend them to anyone looking.

Castle Fresh used some type of cleaning solution which removed the frost from a few panes of glass on a bathroom french door. Mistakes can happen with any cleaning company, but the owner of Castle Fresh handled the situation with tremendous professionalism. I greatly appreciate his time and effort in resolving the problem.

Was eager to use this company after reviewing on Angie's list. Over the past 2 months, i have scheduled 3 appointments with this company, and they failed to show up twice! The one time they did come they did a good job, but I can't use them anymore if they can't show up at all. If you call the main number, they almost never answer and you have to leave a voicemail. I can't believe this is an A rated business on Angie's List and they actually have paying customers still in the Denver area. I do not recommend, go somewhere else! Also, if you reference the Angie's list price, they will give it to you even if you don't purchase through Angie's List. I'm sure Angie will be happy to know that.

Very professional, polite and the work was great. They even cleaned areas we didn't think of cleaning. What stuck out the most for me is my wife is due any day with our first child and the two people that cleaned our house stayed past the 4 hour limit to make sure they finished what we needed because they knew it was important to have a very clean house for the new baby. We didn't expect them to stay extra for they already did so much, but that wanted too. This speaks volume about how much they care about their clients. I will for sure use this service again.

I signed up for a move-in house clean through the company after seeing the $250 coupon on Angie's list and reading the good reviews. Originally the appointment was for 1-3 in the afternoon the day before I moved in. I let them know to please let me know as early as possible if any scheduling concerns came up because we were moving in the next morning. A scheduling issue did come up and they had to cancel the 1-3 time, but they got a crew together and cleaned at 8:30 that evening. I was very impressed with their attention to my schedule and ability to get the place cleaned before my move-in date. They did a great job with the clean, it was nice to be able to move in to a clean house. I was told that even though I didn't buy the coupon through Angie's list they would honor it if the price went over the $250 limit, and they kept their word. I would definitely recommend Castle Fresh and will most likely use them again in the future.

Not very well. I can clean my entire home in under 4 hours on my own. They only did the main floor in the 2 hours the 2 women were there. They only completed the main area because I paid for extra time. They didn't even get to my walk out basement.
Description of Work: $80 for Four Hours of Housecleaning!

In our extensive experience, a home of your size (4500 sq ft or so) cannot be cleaned properly in only 2 hours with a crew of 2. I am very sorry that you felt we do not move quickly enough. For anyone else reading this review, please do understand that we are not the type to rush through a home at a fevered pace, nor do we drag our heels. We attempt to strike a balance between speed and efficiency. If ever you are dissatisfied with our work please call us to let us know. Overall, the quality of the work performed was very good. They were pretty detailed and went as far as cleaning the top of cupboards, inside of oven, fridge, and microwave, and cleaned the blinds. My bathroom fixtures came out looking brand new. For the price, the cleaning was acceptable; however, there were a few things that happened that rubbed me the wrong way. 1. I got a call from the cleaner asking if I would like to come and see when she was done. I said I would just check tomorrow and I asked if she received the lockbox code so she could get in. She said she did and had already been cleaning for an hour. Great, the only problem is that I was at the house doing work 15 minutes prior and she wasn’t there. When you purchase a service for a specific period of time, the company needs to be more honest about actual start and end times. I was told the cleaning took the entire time I paid for, but I don’t know based on this. 2. The knob for my stove was missing after the cleaning. After looking everywhere, I emailed my point of contact and was told that the cleaner said it was loose and it may have fallen off and rolled behind the oven. The knob was never loose, I lived at the property for six years, I know the condition of my oven and stove. Again, it seems the cleaner was dishonest. It ended up in the garbage disposal because I assume they soaked them which is nice, but the disposal was also run with the knob in it based on its condition when I pulled it out. 3. As mentioned above, I was told my cleaning took the entire time I purchased and that towards the end the cleaners had some issues due to no light. The house is well lit; every room has a ceiling light. This house wasn’t designed to be lit with lamps plugged into an outlet on a switch where you could run into lighting issues without lamps. Again, seems like another line of BS from the cleaner to the people who handle customer service. A few things were left undone (ceiling fan not dusted, hardwood floors didn’t look great). The company was quick responding to my questions as well scheduling my appointment when buying a deal from Angies List. Customer service was good but I think the cleaner is feeding her customer service reps with bad info trying to cover her incompetence, which in turn, makes everyone looks bad.

Services for other rooms include dusting, mopping, baseboards, windows, blinds, wall cleaning, vacuuming and we even offer organizational services.
Carpet cleaning and exterior window washing is not currently being offered. Please note that we respectfully reserve the right to turn down projects that are beyond our cleaning capabilities. This includes properties with a severe lack of maintenance that pose a risk to the health of our employees.
