Always Clear Pools And Spas

I sent an e-mail message requesting service (pool opening and hot tub repair) to Lann Clemons via the Always Clear Pool and Spa website on 4/24/2012. He never responded. I thought perhaps he doesn't check his e-mail regularly, so I called him on 5/3/2012 and left a brief message on his voice mail describing the service I required and call-back information. As of 5/11/2012, he hasn't responded.

Lann did everything he said he would and went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied.

The work was never performed. The initial date to do the work was scheduled for 10/24/11. After waiting for Lann to show up, we received a message that he couldn't make it because his truck broke down. Subsequent reschedulings for the work were canceled due to snow. I began to grow suspicious that this work would not be done because Lann would schedule other jobs in front of mine instead of working on my spa the next day. Today, on 11/7/2011, he was supposed to show up again at 10 am. I received a text from Lann that his truck needed to go back into the shop and that he would not be able to make it today but would be out tomorrow. After leaving him a message and asking him if he really planned on showing up tomorrow he texted me back and told me that he really did not want to do the work on my spa. So, while I cannot give an opinion on the quality of work, I can give this feedback. After three appointment misses and having to make sure someone was around when the work was supposed to be performed, I am shocked by the lack of professionalism exhibited by Always Clear Pools and Spas. As a customer, I would rather have heard the honest answer, that the technician did not want to do the job, up front than to be strung along for a few weeks. There are plenty of pool and spa companies out there. I would recommend that people give their business to ones other than Always Clear where you can, hopefully, trust what you are being told.

I've had other people look at this tub and shake their heads, not sure what to do. Lann figured it out and fixed it - not a big deal for him. I'm so glad that he did! He seems to really know his business, and was always respectful and businesslike. He did need to reschedule once, but other than that was reliable. Overall a very good experience.

Because my system is so unusual, Lann had to adapt some of the equipment and controls. As an engineer by training, his knowledge and ability to improvise exceeded that of the manufacturers. I now have a system that functions smoothly for the first time in years. He kept at the job until everything was the way he wanted it to operate. I appreciate his expertise and integrity.

It was a relief to be dealing with someone so professional and competent. I have made a point to add him to Angie's List because I was so impressed with his service.
