R B Spencer Inc Heating & Air

We moved into our new home in June of 2015. On Friday night August 14th we were no longer getting cold air, just the fan blowing warm air. The unit made a horrible sound and we shut it down. I made a call to Spencer's for a technician on Saturday as we could make it through the night. On Saturday, their technician, Felipe came to our rescue. He went around to the unit and dove straight in. In about 20 to 30 minutes he brought me outside to see what he found and did. The top fan on the unit had an issue that he fixed to get our A/C going. But he had taken the time to check the whole unit out and found a rusted hole in the heat exchange. He shut down the heater, A/C still worked thanks to him, and said need to get repaired before cold weather. I want to take a moment and give a thanks to Felipe's professionalism. He came in with a positive attitude, took ownership of the problem and most of all, went beyond just fixing the problem and leaving. He did not have to check out the whole unit, only fix it and go. I have worked over 30 years as a telephone technician and met many a technician that would not put a lot of effort or gone the extra step. He is a great asset to their company. I called up the company Monday and asked for a quote to replace the unit. The price was a little higher than another bid, but I went with Spencer's, mostly on the fact of a great service experience. I know if I have an issue I will have it taken care of by one of the best! We have run the heat for a few days now and all is GREAT!

All the work was done when promised and completed on time.

I spoke with and interview several companies for adding an HVAC system to a newly acquired older home to be used as a rental property. I had contacted several companies in the local area and several well know companies. I was disappointed over and over with their pushy sales tactics and flat out rude and unprofessional behavior (mainly the more well known companies). My first contact with RB Spencer was professional. From the minute the receptionist answered the phone, I was impressed. I expressed to her that I was looking at getting an estimate for a system for a home that was never equipped with an HVAC system. She took all of my information, explained that she didn't have a sales person available at that moment but would have a sales person return my call as soon as possible. Rick Worthley returned my call within an hour to set up a convient time to meet. He arrived at the home on time. He was very professional, listened to our wants and needs for a system. He had an written estimate for us that very evening. He addressed all of our concerns and questions via email and phone as we had them and even followed up after he had not heard from me in a week. After informing Mr. Worthley that we had found several more important issues to address before moving forward with the system he was still polite and professional. We plan to move forward with an HVAC system in a couple of months and when we do it will be with RB Spencer.

They were on time. They tightened up the wiring that connected the gas line. I would use them again.

They came on time. He told me the air conditioning was working properly. He recommended cleaning the unit, but said I could do that myself. The tenants thought the electric bill was too high, so I called him out to check the function. They are very honest and upfront.
