Small area but a 2 day job for drying time. Great job with matching the texture, even before primer/paint you can't tell where the hole was - it's incredible! The area was a high profile one so this was very important. What was also incredible was the lack of mess. My past experience with this sort of job is that I have had a good bit of clean up afterward. Not here. He created this ad-hoc "spray booth" that removed all the mess, and then he even put my furniture back where it belonged. I will not hesitate to use this company again, and to refer others to them.

Despite there not being a primer coat on the walls to which the wallpaper had been applied, Joe worked hard to remove the paper and glue as best he could.

The work went very well. The house was left clean and the quality of the repairs is excellent.

I had purchased 2 hours of work through the Big Deal to fix the hole left when a vent was removed from my living room ceiling. On the first day of repairs, Joe arrived and we discussed the project. I decided to fix the sagging portion as well. It didn't increase the price that significantly. Joe worked a total of about 4 hours - two the first day and he returned the next morning and finished up. The ceiling looks perfect! I can't even tell where it happened anymore. Thanks, Joe!

We could not be more pleased with the work done. The job took about 2 1/2 days to complete and Joe did the work himself. He showed up at the agreed upon time each day and worked without taking any significant breaks. He cleaned up each day and did a good final cleanup at the end of the job. We wanted smooth walls, ready for paint and that's exactly what we got. Joe is a hard working, very personable guy. We would definitely use him again and he has earned our highest recommendation.

He was a nice guy. He was professional and responsive. We used an Angie's List Big Deal. He did a competent job. He had to come back a second day.

From start to finish my experience couldn't have been better. Joe responded quickly to my request and worked with our schedule to complete the job within a week, including working around the electrician's schedule for moving the light switch. (See my review for Energy Electric who did the electrical work.) He was very careful not to get anything on furniture or the carpet when repairing the settling cracks which were throughout the house. I didn't even need to vacuum - no sheet rock dust from the sanding anywhere. Joe has exceptional experience in matching existing texture gained from work done in the East following a hurricane. It did not take Joe long to prep the areas for the patching and then he returned the next day to texture the areas. Now that the areas are painted you would never know the area had been touched. Once I saw the quality of the work done under the coupon I was confident the larger job would be completed to my high standards and it was! True to my initial concerns the removal of the wall paper proved to be impossible without a lot of damage to the existing sheet rock. So we settled on taping the seams (which were still in great condition and invisible), applying a sealer over all, completely skimming the entire wall and then texturing it. Joe also replaced the sheet rock removed by the electrician when moving the light switches. Again you would never know it had been replaced. Joe recommended caulking to the corners between the walls and ceiling as added insurance there would be no problems down the road when we painted. This entire process took 2 full days. Joe even let me use his scaffolding to clean a crystal chandelier hanging in the entry hall. The top of it is next to impossible to reach even with our 12 ft ladder. Joe is experienced and knowledgeable but most of all he is just an all-around nice guy. He keeps to his scheduled appointments or calls if he is delayed. He is dedicated to customer satisfaction and making sure his customers are happy. He also provided a great contact for painting the wall. It was a Big Deal for $99 and we paid another $100. The experience was okay. It looks good and they did a good job.

They did an excellent job. First they repaired several holes and later they applied wall texture and orange peel texture on my ceiling.

About 15 - 20 minutes after I purchased a Big Deal for two hours of drywall work, Joe contacted ME, thereby making the process even more convenient than usual. We quickly agreed on a time for him to examine my drywall issues, and he arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time. Although I'd only purchased two hours worth of work, I knew the total amount of work I needed would take more time. Joe gave a very fair estimate, and stuck to it (even though I think he may have spent more than the time he allotted himself). He performed all the work I described above in a professional and cheerful manner, and was very patient with me in answering all my questions. To elaborate on one of the items described above: I had mold showing on the surface of a wall directly above a shower. Instead of automatically cutting out the wall and replacing it, Joe carefully examined both the inside and outside walls, and began with the least invasive approach (scraping the surface and exterior-most portion of drywall) to confirm what he correctly diagnosed as only a surface issue. He carefully repaired what little damage the "internal" inspection had done, and saved me a ton of money in the process. Not only would I hire him again, I already plan to do so.

I spent about $150 or $200 on that work. He did not have to paint the drywall for me, but he did and that was nice. I would tell a family member or neighbor to try North State Drywall Inc. if they were looking for someone to do a similar job. He had to drive 40 miles to do the work and did not charge me for that and he did the work when he said he was going to do it. I would definitely use him again in the future.

Joe does great work! He is the only person I can find who can match texture so that the patched area cannot be detected.

My renter was very unhappy because she was worried about mold. He removed the water damaged dry wall and sprayed it down with bleach. Then he went back and replaced the dry wall and patched it. It took two visits and he did a beautiful job. He matched the existing texture on the walls, you wouldn't be able to find the patch if you didn't already know it was there. He was very accommodating and finished the work in a timely manner. His price was pretty reasonable, especially in comparison to the other estimates I had.
