Description of Work: Gary did a fine job and was punctual. However, he did overcharge relative to a quote via phone. I had him rekey 13 door locks and install 2 new door locks. I purchased the locks from him and although he said that there would be no charge for the installation and rekeying on the new door locks I purchase from him, I was charged. The difference was $50 and if I would have known he was going to charge for the rekeying and installation I would have just purchased the additional locks from home depot at 50% of what he charged. I would still use him again, but make sure to clarify the exact costs prior to having him come out.

Description of Work: It was a pleasure doing business with Precision Lock and Key. I called them, spoke to Gary (Meehleis), as I needed new locks on my front door. We have an oversized door and the locks have a unique positioning. Gary made an appointment with my for the following morning. He showed up on time, was very courteous and professional. He gave me an estimate, which was very reasonable, and replaced the locks. When I say the locks can be difficult on my front door, I really mean it. Gary had to try 2 or 3 different kinds and ended up having to use a commercial type of lock. I was so impressed with his work, I would highly recommend him to anyone, at any price! I also know I would use him again for any of my locksmith needs!

 + 0 moreHe came early, but there was a confusion about which address to come to. He arrived at the home I moved out of. When we got to the new home I saw the back patio door handle was UUUGLY, he waited for me to run to Home Depot and buy a new one so he can make all the drums match the same key. Thanks!... Rehearse what you want so there is no "forgetting" or miscommunications.
Description of Work: I moved into a new home and had all the locks changed to fit one key.

 + -1 moreHe arrived even earlier than he'd said, something I find very refreshing. He was told the problem (2 different locks) and went right to work. He was friendly, polite, efficient and very reasonably priced. What more could anyone ask for? I highly recommend Precision Lock and Key.
Description of Work: Replaced front door lock (after first attempting to repair it, which I appreciated). Also got a new bedroom lock that I had just installed to work properly.

 + -1 moreGary was able to make the appointment within one day. He came to the house at the time scheduled and rekeyed four entry doors including deadbolts and provided 5 keys. He removed all locks to be rekeyed went to his van within 45minutes he was back in the house reinstalling the locks. Gary was prompt, professional and did a great job.
Description of Work: rekeyed 4 entry doors including deadbolts, 8 locks total and provided new 5 keys.

Description of Work: Repaired door lock that would not allow us to close the back door! I thought that I would have to replace the entire doorknob and re key but it was just one small part and was replaced in a few minutes! Arrived exactly on time. A pleasure.
