My sister-in-law needed her water heater replaced. Bruce replaced it, but had to come back 3 months later to fix because he had left the temperature too high, causing the heater to leak all over the garage floor. Broke a pressure valve on top of the heater. My sister-in-law called for him to fix it and he cut her off, was rude, hung up on her. Finally came out and fixed the valve. Would not recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: Needs water heater replaced.

I made an appointment. Bruce looked at the job and quoted a price and said he can come back in few days. I told him I took a day off to get this taken care of. He then said he’ll come back at the end of the day. He said he’ll come back at 3:00 but his other job made him late and he came at 6:15 (he did call to say he'd be late). The job took about 10 minutes so he charged me less than what he had quoted in the morning.
Description of Work: Replace spout that is only pushing half of the water to the shower head. The other half is just going directly to the drain out of the spout.

We first noticed the small pool of water in the corner of our garage on Thursday evening, and upon investigating we could see the damp drywall and hear the running water sounds coming from behind the adjacent wall. I shut the water main off & checked the upstairs bathroom & toilets for any possible leaks, but could not find anything other than the noise behind the wall and the puddle of water had stopped. It sounded like a burst pipe to me, but we hadn't hammered anything into the wall, and it's rare for a pipe to spring a leak without any help. So, I sign up for Angie's List, and proceed to look for a plumber in the area with some decent reviews hoping not to overpay for necessary services. I see Bruce's Plumbing Service has only two reviews, but they were good so I decided to call the contact number. Bruce answers, attentively listens to me explain my problem, solicits some additional information then proceeds to deduce a slab leak problem, however, he said, he would stop by to see for himself. Being already Thursday evening and a non-emergency situation in my opinion, we agreed to the following morning at 9am. Bruce calls at 9am the next morning and asks if we can meet in the afternoon, then calls again a few more times to again push out the appointment. No problem, but I would've preferred a more productive Friday. Finally at 6:30pm he arrives and greets me in a calm and friendly manner, apologizes for his tardiness, and asks that I show him the problem. Again, after finding all the information, he opines a slab leak and quotes me $700 after explaining his conclusion to me. Actually I am quite relieved that a slab leak quote is so low since I've heard many horror stories costing in the multiple thousands, so I agree to employ his services. He then says that his schedule is tight, but that he will outsource the job to a "partner" service and that he will call me back with what eventually became a Monday morning appointment, and an estimated completion time of ~2pm. Monday morning arrives, and we are tired of turning the water on for 10 minutes twice a day for our necessary hygiene, and the water noise behind the wall had grown more severe & frayed my nerves. However, one friendly guy & one quiet guy show up to fix the "slab leak" at 9am, and proceed to verify the diagnosis with their leak detection equipment. After a short while, he cuts open the drywall in front of the "noise" I had mentioned previously and discovers that it is indeed a burst pipe and not a slab leak after all. However, he continues, it was difficult to tell since the copper pipes can throw the leak sound to obscure places, and the "most likely" cause is a slab leak. Anyway, they call Bruce to get a revised quote, and I am elated to now be paying only $275 so I employ them to replace the two outside faucets that were corroded but were welded on and had thwarted my previous attempts to replace them myself. So in total I paid $455, and I am completely satisfied with Bruce and his "partner" company for a job well done, and for their resourcefulness in using each other to cover jobs they cannot make. They were straightforward, fair , honest, friendly, and did a good professional job on my leak. I will definitely use Bruce for all my future plumbing needs and I highly recommend his services.

We wanted to move the water heater to a different location in the house, I wanted to re-use the solar water heater plumbing in the attic but Bruce was skeptical. Bruce had done a project recently for me so I was sure that I wanted to use him. Bruce gave me two estimates the lower one if we found out that the plumbing in attic is what we thought it is and the higher one if it was not. Bruce had very little attic access, and I had just bought the place so to it was mostly guess work before he started the project. During the project we realized that the plumbing in the attic is not exactly what we had thought and that there is some extra work that Bruce will have to do. Bruce did all the work on time and still did not charge me a dime more than the lowest estimate he gave. Most days we would not even meet but he would call me every evening explaining the status and plan for next day. He also every single day without fail asked me "how did you like it?" and it seemed like it really mattered to him how we feel about the progress of the job. We really appreciated Bruce's work and have already referred him to one of our friends.

I was very tight on budget and Bruce's estimate was the lowest. So inspite of he not having any reviews here I hired him for the job. From the getgo I liked Bruce's professioinalism and his attention to detail. He came out and explained what is possible and what is not. He was ontime, did work to perfection and cleaned up afterwards. There were multiple bumps during the project like when he found out that the concrete is 12 inches thick and not 8 that I had informed him earlier. During these 'bumps' I saw him re-adjusting his tools and schedule even bringing a bigger 'saw' for the cutting but he did not even once complained about it. I would gladly hire him again, we need more professionals like him. Another thing I wanted to mention is Bruce is the type of guy that takes ownership of his work, that meant I can go to work while he did his work at my place with minimum botheration to my family. good coomuincator, relaiable more importantly someone trying to earn an honest living.
Description of Work: Extended a drain for about 20 feet, cut 12 inch concrete to dig up for the drain, install toilet, vanity etc.
