We hired them to install carpeting in our home. We hired them as they were low bid, as compared with Home Depot, and they were referred to us. They came and installed the carpeting as promised, and without incident. However, after only 2 years, the carpet was buckling and wrinkling throughout the house, and looked horrible. After some research we determined that this amount of wrinkling should not occur after only 2 years, and was probably due to sloppy installation. We called them they refused to stretch the carpeting saying the warranty had expired, we would have to pay them. In fact they got very nasty and accusatory. Although they may be less expensive than their competitors, beware, you will get what you paid for - crappy quality and no accountability!!!! Buyer be aware!!
Description of Work: We hired Woodland Carpet Works to install a high grade carpet in our home. The carpet was installed in the living room, hallway and bedrooms.

Response from Woodland Carpet Works
We have thousands of satisfied customers over the past 25 years., We always "power stretch" carpet and install with utmost professional quality. Stated here are the facts: Labor warranty of 1 year was clearly stated on the contract. This was a rental and there is no warranty from any store. Warrantees ONLY apply to owner occupied property! They agreed to pay for a "re-stretch".. Installer had an appointment and wasted 3 hours of time, as customer did not show up and multiple unanswered calls. They soon threatened court if work was not done for free. They in fact took us to Small Claims and did not win! Their own court documents proved THE CARPET WAS NOT WRINKLED AFTER 2 YEARS (tenent' sworn statement) WHEN THE TENENT MOVED OUT...The wrinkles could have only occurred from excessive water, likely from improper cleaning and a closed house during hot summer months .It is unfortunate that this social media has no control over misinformed and malevolent people. We hold no malice and go beyond average customer satisfaction. Woodland Carpet Works strives to be the best in our industry. Thank You.

My experience was outstanding from start to finish. Carla helped me pick out flooring to match existing tile. Paul and his son did a great job with the installation-- and even made a video (voluntarily, I didn't ask him to) part-way through to show me the condition of the subloor. (I wanted to make sure the subfloor was dry). In the end, my house looked great and is now much easier to clean. And the price was very reasonable/competitive.
Description of Work: Remove and dispose of carpet. Clean floor. Install laminate, molding, and transition pieces.
