They gave us excellent service. We had to pay $50 for an additional hour. The price was reasonable compared to what other people charge in our area. They made appointments with and kept them on time. Warren, who is the owner of the business seems very personable. Him and his son both did a good job.

He was very communicative prior to the appointment, even texted to tell me he was on his way. Was kind and professional and knew what he was doing. Found the problem that a professional plumber missed and was quick. I would recommend him to anyone needing help!!!
Description of Work: He came in to replace a hot water dispenser in the kitchen and found what was wrong with the current one, fixed it in about 10 minutes and didn't charge me!

I live in an old mobile home. Fixtures are original so any changes require additional fittings and hoses etc. Warren explained what needed to be done and why. We discussed the other bathroom and kitchen faucet replacement and what will be needed. I will have him back.
Description of Work: Replaced bathroom faucet. Added shut off valve under sink. Added safety handle in tub.

Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's list "deal" for two hours of handyman services, after having a lot of difficulty getting call-backs, or being called back only to be told the company had no time for the foreseeable future. In every case, I was told about the big remodel jobs they were working on, i.e., smaller "handyman"-type tasks weren't worthwhile, even though they were listed under that category. Turns out Mr. Hawley is also involved in larger projects, but managed to make the time for my initial two-hour project (primarily installing curtain rods in 2-story living room) , as well as subsequent work (re-attaching heavy iron trelis outside, plus several lesser tasks.) I plan to use him for as much of our long list of "handyman" work as he will take on, as well as larger, long-term improvements. He noted some water intrusion we hadn't seen, found the source and waterproofed the source to the extent possible. I never got the sense he was trying to "create work." far from it. he was just thorough and honest, including telling us when we needed work he doesn't do (he gave us a great referral), and when there might be a less-expensive course than we'd expected.

2nd time I've used Hawley and Son's Construction in the last 45 days for work around the house and their work on this job was similar to the first job. On time, professional, competitive and discussed options and pointed out several items I would have missed. Owner Warren Hawley is on top of all aspects of the job and noticed some rot that must have gotten behind the window and down into the outside panel at the end of the day when his crew was done and he had a walk through inspection. He came back the next day and replaced and sealed that entire area at a nominal cost. Hawley and Son's will be my "go to" contractor for future jobs.
Description of Work: Replace worn, splintered and rotted trim around double garage, windows and chimney, sliding patio doors and patio bedroom door.

It went good. He did a good job for me. It was good service. I was happy. He took the cartridge out and we went to Home Depot to see if they had one but they didn't have one so he put in a new faucet. He was responsive, he was on time and he was very professional.

Warren Hawley came out and gave an acceptable estimate. Started project on date promised. Project needed additional materials that I approved. Overall the repairs made were better than I expected it to come out in the end and better then new due to some redesigns that Warren made on the spot and will now allow water to shed off the faux window instead of sitting and seeping behind the wood. Great job and will hire these guys again in the near future to do some more projects around my home. Don't be confused by the "handyman" label they are really construction professionals.
Description of Work: Repaired Faux Window over hang that is at the peak of home. Was falling apart and had water damage.

They were very good. I have nothing but positive things to say about them. The problem it's my rental property and my daughter actually lived in it. It is difficult for her to schedule time so I have to say that we were making it difficult for them to come out and he was very good about it. I mean he worked around our schedule, I have to say he was very good about it. They were very accommodating. I realized that they weren't sitting around with their feet up on the desk smoking cigar and taking coffee wondering when I was going to call them. I mean I'm sure they were very busy and they were very accommodating with us and their customer service I felt was very good and their work was very good as well.
Description of Work: I purchased a big deal for Hawley & Sons Construction & Handyman Service, it was handymen services. They did some tile work and grouting work for me in the bathroom. I also had some other minor stuff around the house. I think I had a closet door that needed to realign it and I had a couple of other minor repairs that they did.

The quality, punctuality, professionalism and timeliness of service was excellent. I would have accepted the cost/rate if it was clear ahead of time what the approximate cost/rate would be. I signed up for the $50/hr, two-hour special, with a rate of $55/hr. after the first two hours. I chose to combine several tasks which seemed reasonable at this rate. I was not advised that two people would be on this job at a rate of $100/hr for first hour and $110/hr. thereafter. I appreciate that two people made the fan jobs easier/faster. If my cost expectations were set at the beginning of work, I would have been more accepting.
Description of Work: Replaced two bathroom ceiling fan/vents, re-caulked shower and replaced shower handle.

I am pretty sure we discussed the scope and rates via email before the work was done. Regardless of how many men were on site, it would have taken the same amount of time to install your ducted bathroom exhaust fans that we had to crawl in the attic to change out. Along with the other items we completed and the problem with the wrong shower faucet that was on site eiher one man all day or two half a day. So the cost would have would not have changed. I also discounted the hourly rate another ten dollars per hour to honor you as an Angies List Client. I think maybe what I could have done better and will do for the future is notify you the customer if its a one or two man project in which is being requested. I hope this helps clarify things for you. Thanks for using Angies List

He repaired the door and is very fair with his pricing and very responsive. First of all, they do very good work and they're very responsive. We have used them on several projects and the one thing I like is if he feels a project is more than he can handle he will recommend somebody to do the work and put me in touch with them rather than attempt it himself and botch it up. We've been using him for six or seven years now. He's very fair, charges in line with other people but when he comes on the job he sticks with the work and gets it done.
Description of Work: They're licensed contractor, they do home repairs and remodeling type of work. We had a pocket door repaired a couple months ago between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Description of Work: Preparing & painting my large bedroom, dressing room & bathroom. It was necessary to seal & sand wallpaper which could not be removed. This is an older home with quite a bit of woodwork & some built-in furniture. Walls were colored & trim was white so paint had to be exact.
