Description of Work: Mr. Hawley's work is decent, once past the hurdles of getting him to respond & committing to a date for service. (One of his cancellations was due to family loss; obviously not counting that against him. It's his ignoring my prior and later text & voice messages, when I was trying to simply schedule a date for prepaid work.) I'd used his services in the past due to his then-high rating. I saw recent negative comments about his lack of responsiveness, but prepaid for his time as a handyman, based on my past experience. Sadly, this recent experience matched the low ratings & complaints. I'm having to find a substitute to use the payment already made because of the this. Hate to give a negative review, but feel other Angie's List users need reliable reports, good & bad.

Description of Work: Well, nothing. It has been hard to get a hold of him. It has been over a month and I have not been able to get an appointment for him to do the work.

Description of Work: Just got an estimate, they were hard to get ahold of and took long to get back to me. And lastly when gave a very outrageous high estimate for small bathroom changes just had to cross my mind they didn't want the job as I am having it done for a reasonable rate through someone else. Approximate cost of service $1265.00.

Description of Work: Warren is very professional and did a great job installing the dishwasher and installing a power outlet. We will definitely have him back.

Description of Work: I'm a Residential Property Manager and contacted several companies looking for a new vendor. This company contacted me back several times. i used someone else that was referred but appreciated Hawley follow up.

Description of Work: They did a very nice job for us and were fairly good at communicating, though we had to initiate the calls, but their pricing was higher than competitors. We'll continue to use them, however, because they are responsible and did good work.

Description of Work: I had electrical problems after a water damage under the kitchen sink. I had pulled out all the cabinetry for replacement. All wiring and plumbing were completely accessible. He cut a number of the main wires, leaving the dishwasher and garbage disposal without electricity. They were working before. He left the job site. I received a text message later that day that he couldn't complete the job and referred me to someone else.

Description of Work: I had a leak in my upstairs bathroom which damaged the bathroom floor, subfloor, and downstairs ceiling. After I had the area dried out and the tile/subfloor removed, it took me a while to find someone I was comfortable with. Hawley and Sons was quite a find. I would use them without reservation in the future. Excellent service and very competent people - I was very impressed. The price was a little more than I was expecting, but that was probably due to my naivete - I am sure it was a very fair price.

Description of Work: The rep missed his appt, called me 15 min before what he thought was the appt time to tell me he couldn't make it. He was actually wrong on the time as it was for 5:30 rather then 3:30. I got he impression the job was too small even though I wanted more work done then the bathroom tile deal. So basically it was a non event
