Description of Work: Pavers to replace concrete on our front yard patio. The contractor was very cooperative, very helpful when asked for suggestions. He and his crew came and went when they said, and cleaned up after themselves.

Description of Work: He was suppose to provide a design for our back yard, but ended up giving us a verbal quote on painting our back wall. Since writing this review I was contacted by Meir who made every effort to resolve my issues. I was very impressed with his commitment to make the situation right. I have changed may overall rating to an A as his sincere effort to fix any my issues was greatly appreciated.

Description of Work: The rep who came out was very professional and knowledgeable. He spent quite a bit of time here, taking measurements of the discussed project - then e-mailed graphic design ideas. I am not quite ready to do the work, so have not called him back for an estimate, but plan to do so soon. I had hoped to receive an estimate without a 2nd meeting, but evidently that's not how they operate.

Description of Work: Joseph from US Home Developers came out to see my kitchen. I had purchased the evaluation & 3D drawings offer. Joseph had some great ideas on upping my kitchen storage and re-configuring the kitchen and laundry room. I hope to be able to make my kitchen dreams come true within the next year and I plan on using US Home Developers at that happy time.

Description of Work: They promptly contacted me to make an appointment. I told the person who came to the house that I was interested in landscape design ideas for the front of the house and provided him with inspiration photos I'd been collecting. My focus was on drought tolerant succulents. He took pictures before leaving and said he'd have some computer generated renderings within a few days. The timeframe passed and I had to follow up twice. He contacted me saying that he'd been sick and would need a few more days. The next day, I received 2-3 photos reflecting NOTHING we'd discussed. The renderings included a sloppily placed hedge and pink flowers I would never choose and we never discussed. There was not one succulent to be found. I was appalled and told him so. He then told me that landscaping was not included in the deal. If that was the case, he should have to me in our initial telephone conversation. In any event, he proceeded with the rendering so, regardless, there was no explanation for providing renderings that bore no resemblance to the look I'd indicated wanting to achieve. I demanded a refund and his boss contacted me immediately to accommodate me. He indicated that he hoped his prompt action would eliminate any bad feelings I had about the company. It did not and I would never hire them and never recommend them.

Description of Work: Basically their idea of a design estimate and ours was not the same thing. They would not give any price estimates at all on anything we were interested in. The design was worthless to us because no estimates were included. They would not refund our $49 unless they could do it in person. No I would not use them at all in the future.

Description of Work: Got a quote through US Home for some paving work in the front of my house. He was a nice enough guy. I didn't like how his estimate was literally a number written on a piece of paper, with no explanation of how he came to that number. Interesting...

Description of Work: We were getting estimates to have our newly purchased older home remodeled with new flooring, removal of popcorn ceiling, complete kitchen remodel with wall taken out, complete remodel of master bath and guest bath, and everything involved in between. Tom came out and spent close to two hours talking with us, taking into consideration what we wanted, and suggesting other ideas. He did all his measurements that day, and in a few days time had a detailed estimate of what we were looking at pricewise, with some alternative pricing as well. His estimate was right in the ballpark with the other 2 estimates we had received, and we really liked the way he treated us...always willing to to take our phone calls and answer any questions. He is available by phone or email, which was good for us, since email is our most frequent form of communication. As it turned out, we did not go with his company only because we live in Orange County and have friends who used a local contractor that they highly recommended. Otherwise, we would have gone with U.S Home Developers. I would have no problem referring them to anyone else.

Description of Work: The project Jeff and his crew at U.S.H.D. did was pretty complex in that it was all different phases of construction, remodeling, some repair, design, etc. We had 3 proposals and USHD was not the lowest but within 3 percent of the lowest and their references were stronger than the high bidder who was over 100k for the same job exactly. It really was a difficult job and they made it seamless, fun, and fulfilling from start to finish. Literally. I worked primarily with Jeff although I did have contact with other members of his team Jeff worked with me directly on 90% of all decisions. We did a FULL bathroom remodel, a 90% kitchen remodel, some high end floors, foundation repair, electrical, and pool work. I have pictures of all phases and we could not be more thrilled with the project. There were VERY few change orders on the project and budget was met within 5% which is highly unusual in construction. I am a contractor in a different field and know all of the things to look out for on jobs of this nature. Jeff was honest, forthcoming, and very well trained.
