Response from TLC Home Improvement Inc
Dear Member: First we would like to apologize if we caused you any inconvenience. Our company goal is 100% customer satisfaction and we do our best to reach that goal. You purchased our “Big Deal” promotion for $999 roofing repair through Angie’s List. This deal includes 200sq. ft. of shingle replacement for missing or damaged shingles, along with other minor repairs. The coupon does not include specific tile roof work or re-decking. However, we diagnosed and priced the job for your approval prior to initiating further work.. Once you purchased the “Big Deal”, our company contacted you to schedule the project. We set up a FREE appointment with one of our project managers and when he came out to your house, he found that your roof is 850sq. ft. (the coupon refers to 200sq. ft.) tile & paper. In order to repair the roof it is required to replace the whole 850sq. ft. paper and some of the broken tiles. This type of project takes 3-5 days to complete. The project manager estimated the total job at $8,127 with a 25 year warranty. You mentioned that you have an estimate from a different company that is$8,000 less than our $8,127 estimate (as you mentioned in your report). That means they say they will do the work for $127. We did not perform any work on your roof; therefore you are eligible for a full refund from Angie’s List. Dear customer, we would like to add on a personal note, if you are feeling after you read our response that you might have been too harsh on us, please re-consider your posting. Your negative review is affecting our company, our business. After detail investigation from our side we are feeling that you graded us with no reasonable reason, which you have no idea what impact it have on our business. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused, but the “Big Deal” description is itemized and is specific for the type of repair we are offering. Feel free to contact us for any further matters or concerns you have. Thank you!
