Description of Work: Repaired patio roof. Old roof cut back 4 ft from eave replaced with new. Sanded and painted with new metal edging installed. Layers of build up roofing hot mopped over the repair area. All trash and debris cleaned up and hauled away!!! | | |

+ -1 moreOpen beamed home needed roof repair. Gutter work 10 yrs ago cut through top roof on the eaves, which now leaked. Talked with several roofers about replacement vs repair. All commented how good the original roof was that was put in 19 yrs ago. We decided to call the original roofer (Michael Herrera) and actually got the lowest bid from him. Michael is highly knowledge and patient; we talked with him multiple times for about a month before deciding to replace the whole roof, change from rock to shingles, and go for insulation (with open beams, we do not have an attic). It was $18,500 for the upgraded replacement and 3500 for needed repairs on the house. (replacing T & G boards, etc). It was a rewarding experience and we learned a lot; we dealt with a trusted knowledgeable professional and now,after 6 months with the new roof, we know we made the right decisions.
Description of Work: Replaced rock roof with shingle roof on mid century open-beamed house. Added 2 1/2 in poly insulation. Added Ridge vent on ridge of house and garage. New metal flashing installed. Extras including T &G sheeting, facia board and shiplap, as needed.
