John was punctual, courteous & unclogged our drain w/in minutes. I highly recommend their services.

They arrived on time, were very professional and did great work. They also cleaned up after above and beyond what was expected.

We purchased the special they offered and called to schedule them. We booked a time from 8am to 10am on a Saturday and worked our entire day around this appointment. We have two children with busy schedules and a business of our own so this was a big deal for us. At 4pm the day prior to the appointment I received a phone call from LA Mater Plumbers to "Set my appointment time". As you can imagine I was very suprised considering we had already set an appointment time a week ago for the next day and had worked our schedule around it. I gave the gentleman on the phone the name of the man that had scheudled with me, only for him to tell me "there must be a misunderstanding " and that "he would have not set an appointment at that time". I asked that he honor the time frame I was origianlly given and he would not. This was very frustrating and frankly he seemed to have cared less that this affected us the way it did. In my opinion if they can't keep their schedule straight, I prefer to not trust them with anything else. It would have been better had he been willing to honor the time frame they promised before and not call it "a misunderstanding." When I asked for a refund of what I paid, he told me I could take it up with Angie's List. No apologies or attempt to make it better. Very disappointing....

Called to arrange for cleaning a clogged drain. Time was arranged. Plumber was a no show. Calls back were unanswered.

John kept his promised appointment even though it was into the evening.He was eager to get the line cleaned and also to figure out how to connect the sink. He didn't hurry and was most interested in doing a good job and making my bathroom usable!!!! The cost was only slightly over the coupon price. I am more than extremely happy with the work and considersation for my convienience by John!!!

We had replaced a faucet which began leaking. We needed a plumber and Angies deal offered 2 hours of service. John came out who owns the company and got to work, this was an old sink and the nipples and pipe extensions had corroded so John began replacing, he then turned his attention to the garbage disposal... Thank goodness I called these guys, the plumbing was at irregular heights in the wall so he had to try hard to get everything to fit together. Being a novice diyer I was happy he was doing it and not me! All in all everything worked great and if anything comes up I will have them back. The office was friendly when making the appointment and had great follow up. I felt John is honest and a good guy. It's a family business, great customer service.

They even squeezed me in on a Saturday with my angielist coupon. They were extremely courteous with appointment time and arrival - communicating with the tech while he was on the road. The tech ("Harley") arrived promptly and assessed that it would only be a snaking situation and said we'll go on fro there. After he cleared it in like 1 minute (!) - it took me forever with plunger and quart of sulfuric acid to no avail before I called these guys. I asked him to take a look at my bathroom drain, and he recommended bleach as opposed to the other Drain stuff and it's worked beautifully. Harley is a Drain Doctor! Amazing company - I'll never call anyone else again! Wish all service companies had their expertise and integrity!

I was disappointed in the outcome of using this company. The work I needed done was replacement of 2 bathroom vanity fixtures and fixing a leaking shower handle. It took this plumber 4 hours to replace 1 set of fixtures and then apparently was called away to another job. So in essence 1/3 of the original job was done after a 4 hr period. After discussing that it would be likely that he could come back the next day to complete the job and that we would touch base in the morning, he did not call me back the next morning as he said he would. When I called him, he said he was on another job but that he would come to complete the job and would call me. I spent an entire Saturday waiting for him to come and he never came and he never called. Around 5:15 pm, I finally called him and asked where he was at and he told me that he was about an hour away. Around 6:45 pm (an hour and a half later), I had called him again...wondering where he was. He told me he had to stop by a store to cash a check and will be not be able to be at my home for another 20 minutes! By then my day was completely wasted, and told him it was way too late to come as it was dinner hour. My wife and I were obviously not happy...our entire Saturday was wasted! After I called the manager to complain, another day was rescheduled and he compensated by giving me the original price special but I ended up having to wait another week before the work could be completed. An inconvenience of being without the work done as well as making arrangements to spend another day with the plumber.

I called them up to set up an appointment to install two new toilets I had purchased. I asked them what the warrantee would be on the job. He said that he would have to call the owner and then call me back. He never called me back. Finally I got tired of the whole thing, I called them up and told them to forget it. It took three days and three calls and my efforts for them to finally tell me they don't give guarantees on labor. They finally said they would give me 30 days. I hired someone else to do the job who gave me a 1 year warranty on the work. I got a refund on the deal.

I called LA Master Plumbers Saturday morning with a backed up drain. John (owner) was out within a few hours. He installed a new clean out drain and did a video inspection. Turns out roots had made their way into the pipe. He gave me a fair quote to replace the pipe. He'll be doing the work next week and I'll be sure to let everyone know how it goes.

It turned out very well.

The gentleman that came out, John, was excellent! He was efficient, kind, courteous, and on time. I was happy with his prices, as well.

I have an extended warranty on my house so I thought this company added a number of needless charges into their bid since payment was covered by my insurance company. I did not find them easy to deal with and thought they were driving the price up since payment involved my insurance company. I will not use them again in the future.

Once again, the best service of any plumbing company we've ever tried. After being sick of dirty tricks and fake sales' pitches, we were lucky to come across this company. Fast, reliable, honest, inexpensive, caring, ethical. We've never found anyone that matches the quality of their services. We can sleep better at night knowing that there is a plumbing company we can trust for life
