Kathryn Walters Paper Hanging & Removal

She was fantastic. I was delighted to see that Catherine papered the light fixtures too, which was a nice touch. She also corrected something I was not pleased with, very quickly and without question. She is fast, reasonably-priced, very knowledgable and professional. She will be my go-to wall paper hanger!

The work was done very well. Kathy gave an estimate for the amount of time it would take, and it was right on the money. She cleaned as she worked and the walls were in good shape for the painters to work on when she was done.

Kathryn is absolutely exceptional. I contacted her Saturday morning, she called me back Saturday afternoon. She showed up Sunday morning and was done within two hours. She did a fantastic job, was super professional and lovely to be around. And her pricing was more than fair. I would never use anyone else for a wallpaper job of any size.

All I can say is wow! Kathryn is the best! She was quick, efficient, and you cannot even see any of the seams. She is a true gem! Fantastic Craftsmanship!

The job was excellent. She came on time, did the work and clean up after job was completed. No hidden fees and job was top notch.

Kathryn wallpapered three rooms in my house. After getting three estimates, I decided to go with Kathryn. She got back to me almost immediately and came in with a lower estimate than the other two contractors. Kathryn is not only reliable, but meticulous and a pleasure to work with. She shows up as promised, gets the work done in a timely fashion and her work is perfect. I won't use anyone else.

Kathryn arrived promptly and was extremely skilled at hanging wallpaper. She did the job efficiently and beautifully. i couldn't believe it. She was in and out in under 3 hours. I didn't quite have enough wallpaper for the job but she magically made it work. I would HIGHLY recommend Kathryn!

This review is a bit delayed, but just wanted to give Kathy a good review as she did a great job. I had the wallpaper for almost a year and never got around to doing it so thought it best to call someone else to do it. She was punctual, tidy, friendly and did a great job.

All I can say is that I wish all contractors were this great... I found Kathryn on Angie's list. I called, and left a message and got a call back within a few hours. She gave me an approximate price on the phone. she came in as scheduled, did the work and left. Not only was her work impeccable,, this was a wallpaper with a brick pattern which was not easy to hang,but unless there was not wallpaper not he wall before you would not have known that she had been there. Everything was clean and neat after the job was done. I cannot say enough good things about her work

Once I decided on a wallpaper, I called Kathryn with details and dimensions of the room. She returned my call promptly, let me know how much wallpaper to order and gave me a quote for installation. When the wallpaper arrived, I made an appointment for Kathryn to do the installation. She arrived on time and got right down to business. The walls and crown molding in my condo aren't exactly level in some places, so it required skill to get the striped wallpaper looking straight. The job took very little time and I am very pleased with the results. The final cost was even slightly less than her original quote. Kathryn is experienced, professional and friendly and I would certainly use her again in the future.

Work was done over a 2 day period. As this is a rehab project on my elderly mother's home and we live out of the area Kathy was very helpful in working around our schedule. She agreed to work on a Sunday and then again on the following Friday. She was right on time and got straight to work. On Friday when we were in route to the house she called to inform me that the paper removal in the bathroom with the foil paper was not possible as it would result in damage to the walls. She suggested sanding the paper, using oil based primer and then just painting. I appreciated the call and the fact she didn't try to remove the paper which would have required extensive repair to the walls. The walls in the other 2 bathrooms (including ceilings) and the 2 bedrooms are in great shape. She did a nice clean-up job and all the old paper was bagged making it easy to dump. Besides being a true professional she was enjoyable to speak with.

When I called her, I gave Kathryn our city address first thing, because I knew it was quite a distance from her business address. She said our location was a bit far, but not a problem; however, there was a $250 job minimum associated with our job (which I suspect appropriately reflects the greater distance she would have to travel). Kathryn then surprised me by suggesting the upcoming Saturday morning to do the work, which was fine by me. It also allowed her to travel here with less traffic congestion. She arrived for the the job on time and I showed her what we needed (damaged sections on wall + small window strip). She sized them up pretty quickly with a knowing eye, determined that our extra wallpaper roll would more than suffice and would match up well (since we had kept it in a closet for 14 years), and then got to it. I also had her look at a second (undiscussed) smaller wallpaper repair opportunity (adding a strip) in another room, which she said would be an easy fix after the main work was finished. She estimated an hour for the work in the office and that's about what it took. Afterward, not only were the results perfect, she didn't leave a speck of dirt or dust anywhere. She had to stand on a ladder for most of the work and lean over the upper office cabinets, but that was no problem. She got all her materials and 5' ladder upstairs in two trips and was very efficient throughout. In doing the additional work in the other room, she found that the added strip was a darker shade than the existing wallpaper and advised us not to do it, so we left it as is. In the adjoining room, she noticed a marred section of wallpaper up high on the wall and got on her ladder to smooth it out...an added bonus. Kathryn's invoice afterward was the agreed-upon $250, with no ups or extras. I was greatly impressed with her as a person and with her expertise. It was also very pleasant to find someone who not only repairs/hangs wallpaper but who also removes old wallpaper as well. My experience had been that there were separate wallpaper removers and wallpaper hangers. Kathryn does both, making the process more streamlined. She is also just a vert nice person! I would definitely recommend Kathryn for any wallpaper needs.

Kathryn was wonderful! She helped me figure out how many rolls of paper to purchase and gave me a website to use that provided free shipping. Kathryn came out on a Saturday which was most convenient for us. It was amazing to watch her work - she is truly a pro. She also covered our switchplates without us having to ask. I highly recommend Kathryn.

Kathryn was marvelous She returned myintitial phone call in about 10 minutes. I told her I had a job that had been described asand quot; too many cuts and not worth the effortand quot;. I told her it was for my kitchen and therewould be a lot of cuts. She immediately quoted me the $320.00 price after asking how many rolls I had. We talked on a Friday and we agreed that she would come the following Monday. Kathryn arrived at the time she said she would and immediately went to work. Within 3 hours she was done. The joblookied beautiful!! I can't express what an easy task it was to work with Kathryn. I had 2 men over to quote the job and both said it was not worth their effort. Trust a woman to dig right in and get the job done!

She was available in just a few days, came on time. She returned all calls promptly. Was fast and efficient. She told me when she arrived that I needed to order an extra roll, which I did for next day delivery. But then it wasn't necessary, so I canceled in a few hours, when she realized she could make it. Great worker, great price.

It went really well. Kathryn showed up when she said she would, got right to work, and did a great job. After removing the wallpaper she patched the walls where needed and left the kitchen and bathroom ready to be painted. If I had decided to put new wallpaper up, I was going to have Kathryn to the job.

Kathryn is all business and her work is impeccable. We arranged the work less than 5 days prior, and she showed up at 8am on a saturday morning. The wallpapering was done by noon and it was absolutely perfect. I'm very particular about the edges and corners, and I couldn't find a single flaw in her work. If you desire perfection with your wallpapering, Kathryn is the way to go.

She was extremely professional and removed all of the wallpaper from my kitchen walls. Very pleasant and worked quickly.
