He wouldn't even give me a firm date to schedule the work.

They came out and looked at my roof. However, Halo Roofing stated that they would not do any repair work on my roof because they could not stand behind it the work. Ron said I needed a new roof and so I feel that this is a bate and switch operation. Why, because other estimators have quoted me just for the new flat section of the roof for under $10k instead of the whole roof for three or four times more.

No complaints. Job went about as smoothly as one could expect. UPDATE 10/15 - I inquired about re-sealing my exposed HVAC ducts on roof. Rep did not understand me, so I slowed down and simplified the explanation. Rep got insulted. (Unjustified, in my opinion - I was not rude). He said he didn't understand because we had a poor connection. OK. He said he would call me back. He never did. I called after e-mailing the rep I previously dealt with several times, but go no response whatever.

VERY please with Halo Roofing. They've now done two roofing jobs for me: one repair, one complete redo of the roof. It's held up well in the recent rains and I was very impressed with their crews. I've already recommended them to one of the neighbors.

Avi was not only a nice guy to deal with when making the sale, he personally drive up from the valley to check on the job to make sure it was perfect and it was. They removed and replaced our old gutter in the front of the house, but added new gutters to our new patio cover. Great job, great price, will definitely call them again.

All the work was done beautifully. Their attention to detail and workmanship is stellar. The siding has preformed the way they said it would. It's been over a year and it still looks brand new. We chose the Hardy Plank Fiber Cement Boards because the original wood siding was rotten in places and also warping. I highly recommend this product. The seams are still very tight, not like wood that expands and contracts. Maintenance is almost non existent. Just a quick spray with a power washer. I highly recommend this company. Ron is the best, he has always gone above and beyond.

The two gentlemen arrived on time and were very personable and knowledgeable. Ron, in particular, was direct and thorough in his explanations, patiently answering my many neophyte questions. When the two inspected the roof, it was apparent that Ron immediately recognized the problems (although I don't recall there was any measuring or cell phone photographing taking place as I had noticed other companies doing.) This would be no patch job; it would be a replacement. They described what the process would entail and generally what materials they would use, and I asked when they might be able to schedule the work. I was impressed. I learned a lot. And when Ron said they would send a proposal in a few days, I was relieved, thinking I had probably found my reroofing company! But I realized they had not left any materials with me, not even a business card, so after several days, I called to be sure Halo had my email and phone number to send me the proposal. A rather gruff man who answered the phone assured me that they already had the information; he read my address back to me. Yup, that was it. Encouraged, I waited ... and waited. Never a word, not a phone call, not an estimate. Granted, Halo may have had very good reasons for not following through, but they lost a contract. Clients/customers can handle excuses or even the truth such as: "We are swamped with other jobs and I know time is important to you" or "a flat roof job on a hillside across town is not potentially profitable for our company. Have you tried Company X?" Clients will move on. But, I am still curious. Why DID Halo not send a bid?? I contacted those companies who generously came to give me estimates and let them know one way or another. I guess I expected the same courtesy.

Ron, the owner and his employee were on time and behaved in a professional manner. Ron was very personable and was willing to answer all questions I had regarding my roofing issue.

He came out and looked at and said it needed some repairs. He said he would call me back with an estimate for the repair and I never heard back from him. I wouldn't use them again.

Took a bit to get price quoted to match Angie's list deal but service performed was fast and quality was good.

Ron Schwartz, the owner, came right on time and was very professional. His crew inspected my roof and repaired several problem areas to avoid future leaks. They also put back tiles that had slipped out of place. I was very happy with the service and would definitely use Halo Roofing in the future.

After the contractor arrived, he and I walked the roof surface to determine the cause of the leak. He then recommended options that ranged from "Band-Aid" to full coverage of the roof. We agreed to meet in the middle. I could not stay for the duration of the repair, so we agreed that I would return to the house the next day and review the work. I would then forward payment to him for work performed. He did an "EXCELLENT" job. I was very pleasantly surprised and happy. It is my belief he gave me more than the price I was quoted. Above and beyond!!!! I would certainly use him again and recommend his company to others in my associates circle. Honest, Professional, Careful, Good Communicator, Did what he promised to do. Excellent contractor!!

I purchased a Big Deal roof replacement and the completed roof looks spectacular. I was very happy with the quality of the materials that this company uses as well as the professionalism that everyone has. They are located close to my home and I am glad that if I need help in the future with my roof, I know who to call. I highly recommend them.

Ron is very polite and very knowledgeable. He did seem to be in a bit of a hurry, but it was hot and I do not really blame him for just wanting to get the job done.

They checked in regularly and made sure we were happy with their execution made. they had one error and they came and did it pretty timely. They were very courteous.

Very well. After having to reschedule due to weather, Ron, the owner, and one of his roofers, came out & conducted a roof inspection. Friendly, professional, seemingly thorough. He indicated that our roof is nearing the end of its useful life but did not try to sell me on a new roof now which I really appreciate. He also picked up debris that had been left on the roof by a prior worker.] I would definitely contact him if we were still in our house when the new roof needs to be done.

The roof didn't need to be replaced- there was a leak at the gas air vent and the gas water heater surrounding.

These guys are top notch professionals. I received several roofing bids to replace my 2300 ft2 two story roof and chose Halo. Their bid was competitive and very thorough. Ron, the owner, called me to follow up and explained some nuances to look for in the other bids to make sure they were apples to apples. Sure enough, I could see how other companies were cutting corners (usually in materials). I look for 4 things in a contractor. In my experience it's difficult to get more than 2 of these qualities in a contractor. Halo nailed all 4: 1) price: Halo wasn't the absolute lowest bid, but they were very competitive and did not cut corners. They also didn't nickel and dime me after the fact like many low-ball bidders do. I had a couple change orders for skylights and insulation and Halo charged me a very reasonable price. For what I got, I believe I received the absolute best price. 2) timeliness: The crews worked seamlessly to get the job done exactly as promised. Even the add-ons I requested didn't set back the schedule. Halo was prepared from the moment they started to the finish. I also changed the job start date around a couple times and they were extremely accommodating. 3) quality: Halo is a GAF master elite installer with the best warranty I saw available. Halo used only name brand and quality materials, other bids clearly had inferior materials. Their workmanship was top notch. 4) professionalism & integrity: Halo and Ron, specifically, were direct, thorough and honest straight shooters. He communicated every step of the way and answered all my questions. He delivered on everything he promised, including taking some of my trash from other remodeling projects. During the removal process, it was discovered that I had extra layers of roofing material that were not known. Ron made me aware but never attempt to add extra charges. Again, Halo knocked all 4 criteria out of the park for me. I would absolutely recommend Halo roofing.

I apologize for not getting this review in sooner but due to various family emergencies in the last few months I have been sidetracked. I had seen a "Big Deal" on Angie's List for 100 linear feet of new gutter through Halo Roofing. I purchased the deal and Halo Roofing called promptly to schedule a visit. While they were here I also asked them to give me an estimate on a roof repair job for which I was getting estimates from other Angie's List contractors. I did not choose Halo's Roofing to do the roof work, but they did install the new gutters. The install team members were very professional and efficient and courteous. They were on time and worked diligently. A problem arose that they did not have sufficient material to do the job, and because of the inconvenience to me the customer, they offered to install additional guttering in another area of the house at no charge to us. I think that Halo Roofing did above and beyond my expectations in that they did the extra work at no charge, for the purpose of goodwill to the customer. When we are ready to do the rest of the gutters on our large house they will be the first and probably the only contractor we will call. As for the roofing estimate, I believe that if we had used them, Halo Roofing would have done an excellent job, and I do not hesitate to recommend them for gutter or roofing work.

I have used Halo before and really liked their work and professionalism. I contact Avi with a picture of the area I wanted a gutter on with rough measurements and he put a quote together. The team came out and quickly put up the gutter and cut holes for, and attached, the rain chains I had purchased. It turned out looking great.

Very responsive, terrific work. Gutter repair can be tough because one has to ensure quality product is used. This company did and now birds are no longer bothering the gutters. Thanks!
