I recently retired and due to lower income I have become very quality and service for-my-money oriented. I did not belong to Angies list but felt that now was the time. I plunked down my $26.00 and begin looking for a home insulation company. I saw a few but Everguard caught my eye. I called them and got Steve, the owner. He was pleasent, easy, and professional. Plus he knew his stuff, knowing the downsides of adding a ceiling fan. I told him that I found him thru Angies list and he immediately gave me a discount that more than covered the price of the join. I did not know my sq footage and he pointed me to zillow as a good approximation. He also said that they would do an actual measurement and his experience is that it would likely be smaller, hence cheaper $1,580 would be the price based on the zillow measurements. He suggested that I check around and that he would be ready to do the job when I called back. He also let me know that the Job would be about 2 hours and that he actually had a truck completing a job in the area. He was quick to tell me that there was nothing special about that...his crew does so many jobs that chances are, if anyone is in the L.A., Torrance...then he probably have someone near. The significance is simply that if I wanted the job done today...he could do it. I had already done my homework and did not want to waste any artificial time so I asked him to send the crew. They were prompt to the minute, pleasant and professional. I had 40 year old insulation that had survived a complete roof tearoff so it was very sparse. Probably R7. When completed the workman estimated that I likely had R42 (the high ceiling living room had no insulation). I have dual pane windows thruout the house, a new air conditioner, and with this work I believe that I will have as comfortable a summer (and winter) that my wife and I can expect.

Called and set appointment with Steve He called on Friday night to confirm the crew showed up on time.The crew explained whaqt they were going to do. The Job was completed in about 90 minutes and they did a better job then I expected. He did the same great job at my son's. He also assisted us in putting in the rebates with the gas company, which was going above and beyond, in my opinion.

They were great. They gave me helpful input over the phone in terms of what to expect and how to prepare. They showed up on time and finished ahead of schedule. I've had a good experience with the work they have done since. Everything met my expectations.

They were extremely helpful and polity. They were very knowledgeable in explaining that homes lose 80% of their energy through the attic. He was not pushy when coming to explaining what could be done. He was very easy to work with and I did not feel any pressure to do anything. He was willing to do as little or as much as I wanted.

Called for an estimate on getting our attic insulated. Spoke to the owner, Steve, who called me right back after being embroiled in some other situation. He said that they just do their quotes based on simple square footage and R factor. I told him I had gotten his number from Angie's list and he gave me the discount that was associated in addition to quoting me for a higher level of insulation for the lower price (R-38 for R-30 price) which really pretty good. I asked about taking old insulation out and possible rodent issues, both of which he said they'd evaluate where necessary, keeping the clean up to a minimum or no cost if possible. He said that mostly it wasn't necessary to remove the old out, unless we really felt some personal need. I thanked him and said I'd get back to him. A couple days later, I called back and he took the rest of my info. He quoted me exactly what he had before after I reminded him of his earlier estimate. Went over the details and I expected to have to wait a few days, being that the following day was NYE. He ended up having a slot in the late morning, which was perfect, as we had the day off. He said his local guy (Ron, I think?sorry I wrote it down, but now that is gone) would contact us and be by at the appointed time, which he and his compatriot were, on the dot. We went over all the details and they went to work. Took only about an hour and a half, and he reported back that there were no active pest issues, nor did he think the minimal old insulation had to be removed. When they were done, we had a pleasant chat, I asked him about the available rebate from gas company, which he went over in detail, with the figures from the work receipt. He said to fill it out right away and send in snail mail or go online, since it was the last day of the year. I went online right away and found the rebate, filled it out, scanned my receipt and gas bill into PDF, uploaded it with minimal fuss for a govt/utility site, and had my refund listed as $198, which I would receive in the mail, which was more than I expected. Almost instantly, the house stayed substantially warmer for longer. In the morning, after a night of no heat, there were only a few degrees difference between when we went to bed and morning, before the heat came on (a ten degree dip or more overnight was normal before). Very nice. We'll see when the utility bills start coming in, especially in summer, when the AC really produces big bills, but at a net of about $1100 for a nearly effortless install with friendly, knowledgeable workers, we got more than our money's worth, I think, in addition to allaying fears of rats and yuck in the attic. The space is positively awash in nice fluffy cellulose insulation, which we took a look at before I wrote this. The little bits floating around here and there inevitably did not make one want to itch or break out protective gloves, unlike the old fiberglass in this fifties era house, not that there was much to shake a stick at up there. Night and day. Overall, excellent, fast, friendly, terrific value. Highly recommended. When they left I did notice that there was a slight patina of cellulose dust that had gathered on top of the immediate?em?existing dust and cobwebs, but a couple minutes of quick vacuuming was all it took to clean that up, and obviously was overdue, so I call it value added, since it motivated me to do something I should have done beforehand anyway. Plus plus.

After months of looking for a company to insulate my attic I finally found the right company for the right price, Everguard Insulation. I initially spoke to "Dina" who Identified herself as the wife of Steve, the owner of Everguard Insulation. I explained to Dina the type of work I wanted done, the square footage of my attic and the price range I was willing to pay. Without hesitation Dina quoted me a flat $525 for approximately 500 sq. ft. and .94 cents for any space over the 500. I thought to myself....this is too good to be true! The price was perfect! Dina and i confirmed the date and time to do the work and we were set. Today I met with Roy and Steven from Everguard to insulate the attic. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest). Here's my assessment of Everguard in a nutshell. 1. Appearance - 10 2. Timeliness and promptness - 10 3. Follow -up/Callback -10 4. Professionalism - 10 5. Knowledge and experience - 10 6. Price and affordability - 10 7. Quality of work -10 8. Confidence in doing the job - 10 9. Time completion of work - 10 10. Recommendation - 10 The insulation was Blown in and the type of insulation used was R30 Cellulose. Please do your research on the different types of insulations out there and you'll find that R30 Cellulose insulation is a very good way to insulate your attic. Whether the job is big or small Everguard Insulation is the company to call! I have 2 more home projects that I'll be working on soon and look forward to doing more business with Everguard Insulation in the near future.

The installers came at the scheduled time and performed the work very well. They made sure there was no mess left behind before they left. The temperature of my home is now better regulated and the sound levels are a lot lower.

The owner of the company called me to explain everything there is to know about attic insulation. He was very patient with my questions, and was very thorough. His price was very competitive, and he did not try to oversell me on other insulation products. He seemed to be a real expert in this field, and I appreciated the depth of his knowledge and his patience in sharing it with me. I will call him back after the holidays to do the work.

This company was on time and very professional. They explained that our home would look live a drive-by shooting and we understood that, but we found that when they resealed the holes - they were either indented or puffed out. We had to spend additional money to fix our exterior walls to look smooth again. Also, later on, we found that when they pumped the "filling" into the walls, some of it flooded into the house through the cable and pipes holes. We are not sure if the insulation has actually helped regulate the temperature of our home since we made several other changes, but it is quieter to the outside.

They were very professional, and fast! I thought it would take a lot longer but it didn't, they cleaned up after themselves and they were gone!

They showed up to my house at the specified time and got right to work. After the job was completed they cleaned up whatever mess there was. They did a great job, I will be recommending them to my friends who are also in need of new insulation.

The attic was not easy to get into and they did an excellent job. Very clean. Great guys and I would definately recommend them.

These guys were great to work with. They have excellent communication skills and offer an very good price for their services (much lower than the other estimates we got). They did the work quickly, explained everything well, and did not make a mess. They actually cleaned up everything after they were finished. I could tell that they were very careful to not damage our walls or carpet. If I ever need insulation work done again, I will be sure to call them.

I searched Angie's List for home insulation providers and read many reviews. Without too much further research, I called Everguard and spoke immediately with Steve. He patiently answered my questions about attic and wall insulation and provided the square foot price. He explained that in most areas, just insulating the attic would achieve the desired result of keeping warmth in winter and cool in summer. I appreciate that because he easily could have convinced me I had to do both the attic and the walls. He asked for my address in order to give me a precise quote. After he found the online square footage of my home, he called back with the exact cost and gave me a 5% discount for being an Angies List member. We agreed on a date/time for the service and he explained that Roy and Steven would arrive to complete the installation. The day before they were scheduled to arrive, he called to confirm. Roy & Steven arrived at the precise time. They were very professional, courteous and explained the procedure. They inspected the attic, pronounced it clean and invited me up to take a look which I declined. TMI. They blew the insulation in right from their truck. The whole job took about an hour - they cleaned and swept and invited up again to look at the job - which I did. I saw a thick, neat layer of insulation throughout. I paid and they reviewed with me how to go online and complete the Gas Co. paperwork for the rebate which they said would be $168.00. By offering cash, I got another $50 knocked off the price. They also said I should be fine with just the attic insulation since I live on LA Westside. All in all, a very easy, clean experience. I would recommend these guys very highly.

I didn't really compare prices, the reviews on Angie's list and on Yelp told the story. So, I called, got a quote over the phone and got an appointment about two days later. The guys showed up exactly on time. I was able to watch as the guy in the attic worked his way around and covered everything. It was amazing, instead of hot air pushing its way down into my condo, it turned into cool air rising into the attic. Everything was covered very thoroughly and after they were done with that, they sound proofed the one wall that goes from the living room to a bedroom on the other side. They are serious when they warn you about the dust that ends up on everything in the room when they pump it into the walls. They do clean up but it does take a good vacuuming afterward to get everything. They also warn you about the plaster patch marks that will need to be textured to match after they dry. I was having someone in to do that after so it didn't matter anyway. I was really happy they got the whole thing done in about 2.5 hours. I even learned a little bit about how one would want to do a project like this. I was considering to do it myself but I am really happy that I just called and had Everguard take care of it. Another thing I wanted to note, that despite their home base being in the valley; they now have a branch that services Long Beach and the surrounding areas. So, I was glad to be supporting their new branch and it was right in time to beat the mini heat wave we have been having.

They insulated ous wall. They did that on two side of my house. They did a really good job and I really like the guy. They sealed a few hole and patched everything up. I could tell he is a really honest guy. He helped me decide on a few projects that were actaully more less profitable for him, but very helpful to me.

I called Everguard about a month in advance to inquire/schedule insulation installation at my house. Steve, the owner, responded to my various questions (in very good detail) that led me to choose Everguard to do my insulation. His price was very competitive and the process which consisted of drilling holes in the exterior walls from the outside was much less invasive than other companies. The day of installation went very smoothly. His workers showed up on time and were very polite/professional. The process consisted of drilling 2" holes in each stud bay (above/below firestops), using a hose/fan to blow the insulation into the wall, and patching of the stucco (they do not paint). They completed the work in about 4-5 hours. Following completion of the work, they deducted from their estimate for any areas that did not require insulation (ie if previously insulated) and gave instruction on how to apply for the Gas Company's insulation rebate. All in all, a very smooth process/experience and now my house walls are fully insulated!

It went great. They called the day before to confirm the appointment, which they were able to move up earlier in the day if it was convient for me, which it was. They showed up on time and were clean and polite. They completed blowing in the insulation in a little under two hours. This 60 year old house had almost no insolation and had wide temperature fluctuations. Since having the insulation blown in the house has been maintaining at about 70 degrees and fels wonderful.

The forced air heating ducts in my attic were original from the 1950s and falling apart. They needed to be replaced before the new insulation could go in. Everguard took it upon themselves and found a company to come do all of the repair work and replacement. They went as far as to get all of this extra work scheduled to not only get the job done quickly and efficiently; but in a manner which I could list the project under my 2012 taxes. They went far above and beyond what I ever expected. I couldn't of asked for more cooperation and help!

Got $50 off from Angie's list coupon plus 5% discount for paying in cash. 2 workers came in earlier than appt time, inspected existing attic insulation level, measured home for quote, and spent a little over an hour blowing in the insulation. They worked professionally and quickly. The guys were here in the in the high time of the day (1pm) and I could feel the living spaces cool down as they were installing the insulation (one in the attic and one in the truck). It's already made a big difference in our home comfort level. We'll see how our utility bills come out now. They referred me to the gas company website for rebates and also recommended that I insulate the attic hatch with foam board insulation.

The initial estimate based on the square footage of my house was around $1,100. When the workers arrived it turned out my attic was smaller than anticipated and the estimate was adjusted to $550 plus they instructed me on how to go about receiving a $100. credit from our gas company. They were prompt, informative , honest, and friendly. I highly recommend this company.
