The work crew did exactly what was asked. In addition, they troubleshot a major issue related to an unevenness of the countertop part (right at a joint) of the bar seating area. Seems the bar countertop was not correctly built during a previous partial kitchen remodel by Thurston Construction back in 2006, leading to issues with seams/joints of the granite. FYI - there should not be a joint in the middle of a countertop area (I learned this piece of knowledge from this experience), especially a small bar. Clean Cut Stone addressed this issue and instituted several remedies to a problem they never created . Hopefully these solutions will last over time.
Description of Work: Provided maintenance of granite counter tops, specifically recaulking joints and resealing counter tops.

I got David's name and information from Angie's List. I also got estimates from, and interviewed 3 other installers. He scheduled the estimate for the very evening I called. His price was good, (very near the lowest quote) and he made a very good impression. He was polite, knowledgeable and patiently answered all of our questions. During the "stone hunt" I fell in love with a slab of quartzite that was significantly more expensive that the granite slabs I had been considering. He discussed the pros and cons of the material with me and then took my kitchen template to the yard and actually taped it to the stone to ensure I could get all of the counters out of one slab. It took some maneuvering but he made it work and then we picked a complimenting remnant for the laundry room counter. With his help I was able to get my dream counters AND maintain my budget. Through out the entire process, David stayed in touch. He answered his phone or replied to messages very promptly. He was on site during most of the install and his crew was terrific. They truly show pride in workmanship. I love the finished product. Absolutely, I would recommend him and his company.

As an interior designer I have worked with countless granite/marble installers. Through the years I had yet to find a fabricator/installer that paid attention to the level of detail and perfection that I do. That is, until I found David. What a pleasure it was to work with him!! Not only was he reasonably priced, on time and on budget, but the quality of his work, his creative insight and customer service is exceptional! The counter surfaces are absolutely beautiful and the level of detail is perfect. As an example: my project was quite large and there were several trades coming in and out of the house. Unfortunately, during all of the construction commotion, the center island stone in the kitchen was scratched. I had to leave town for a week during all of this but when I came back I was told that David came back to check on things (even though his scope of work was completed) and corrected the scratch. David is the best. I would highly recommend him for any fabrication/installation. I will always use him in the future. Thanks David!! The kitchen is BEAUTIFUL!!
Description of Work: I had counter surfaces installed in two bathrooms, a kitchen and a outdoor kitchenette.

We purchased a countertop- Caesarstone, from David at CleanCut Stone. His prices were very reasonable, right in line with most others (some were higher) but what made him stand out was that he was very quick to respond and had great reviews. I sent him a request on April 2, kitchen layout on the 3rd & had the quote that day. He came out to measure on the 4th, since he knew how quickly we needed things done (our original counter people didn't answer the phone anymore & our cabinets were in & ready. ) He actually had the counter ready & installed on April 10- 1 week since quoting! The installation went very smoothly & the men he has working for him are very polite & neat. I had questions about how certain designs would look & he would give his opinion but also listen to what I wanted. It was truly a pleasure having him in our home. You will not be disappointed if you choose Clean Cut Stone. There are so many more reasons why you should choose him but these are the main ones. I have already told everyone I know that if they ever need counter work done, Call David! Would love to add pictures but can't figure out how - so, instead of delaying his excellent review any longer, i will submit it without pictures. Hopefully i can find out how to add them at a later date. Thank you, David!!!!
Description of Work: Purchased 3 slabs of Caesarstone and had them install it in our kitchen. They made cut-outs for cooktop, sink, etc. They also made a small shelf area behind sink out of the stone. We also had an island with a bar top, & they used the stone as a back splash on the island. Beautiful job!

After speaking to two other installers, I contacted Clean Cut Stone based on the Angie's list reviews I read. I was very concerned about quality workmanship because my kitchen would require 2-3 seams in the stone and I had seen showroom displays with some poor seams. I was also concerned because my installation was on existing oak cabinets and the installer would need to pay attention to protecting them from harm. I had a drawing with measurements from the original kitchen design plans, and I sent those to David in advance. David Azai came out right away, remeasured to confirm the kitchen size, made a quick call to his stone supplier to check on the price and availability, and gave me an estimate on the spot. (He sent the formal bid in writing via email the next day.) His bid (including the Angie's List 10% discount) was very close to the lowest bid I had received, even though another source was offering a sale price at the time. Online reviews were stronger and more consistent for him than the other bidders, so I agreed to go ahead and mailed him the 50% deposit. A week later (during which I emptied my cabinets), David and his crew came out and spent half a day stripping out my old counter, and two days later, they spent most of a day installing the new quartz countertop. The only thing that remained to be done was having my plumber hook up the sink and gas range top, which was done the next day. Less than 2 weeks from my first call to job completion, and only 4 days without use of the kitchen -- amazing! The final price was exactly as bid and the schedule was exactly as promised. I am happy with the seams (my plumber said they are the best he has seen), and my cabinets came through great. Hard to imagine anything more one could ask. I should note that remodeling is more difficult than new construction because a house settles (etc) over time, causing angles and joints to go at least a little askew. Over the years, I have seen one contractor after another struggle with jobs like installing a door or window for this reason. David's crew of skilled workmen did a very good job of adjusting to my situation and produced a result that looks like new construction.
Description of Work: They tore out and disposed of my old tile countertop, and ordered, fabricated, and installed Silestone quartz countertops in my existing kitchen. (The tear-out and stone cost were included in the price.) The countertop required two seams because my kitchen is so large. They made the cut-out and hung a new sink, and made the cutouts for the existing range top, faucet, and washer air-gap. I asked for a 2-inch mitre edge instead of the usual 1.5 inch, which looks great. The backsplash is also oversized, and David suggested adding a small ledge under the kithchen windows--also looks good. They thoroughly cleaned up after the job.

I reached out to several fabricators that I found on Angie's list, and David responded to me very quickly (same day). Unlike the other fabricators he was willing to come out to my location for an estimate, and scheduled a time to meet with me that was convenient with my schedule. David has a great personality, and is very knowledgeable of different stones and cuts. He recommended a stone yard where I could purchase my materials, and the cost and quality of the marble was very competitive especially compared to the west side of Los Angeles. The project took place in two phases. I had originally only purchased one slab, and after a week or so of completion of phase one (vanity & riser), I realized that I needed to buy an additional slab in order to replace the tub backsplash in order for the bathroom to have a cohesive clean look. I reached out to David, and once again he quickly responded and he came out to the house again for measurements. As this was a second job, he gave me a discount on the fabrication and also helped me get a better rate from the stone yard. Overall the experience with Clean Cut Stone was very satisfactory. Please note that Clean Cut Stone only does fabrication and installation, and so I needed to hire a plumber as well as a touch up person in order to complete the renovation. David was always available to hear my concerns, or any last minute changes. I would use Clean Cut Stone if I am in need of fabrication services in the future. Thank you, Brooke Snader

Clean Cut Stone did an outstanding job on my recent countertop job. David?s fabrication is commendable- color and pattern matching were handled very well. David and his crew were professional and knowledgeable, and completed the work expeditiously and expertly. David was punctual not only to the first appointment where he provided an estimate, but also meeting at a stone yard to help select and purchase the slab. He and his crew arrived at the appointed time to demolish the old countertop and take a template, and did a great job protecting the area and then cleaning up. They were also punctual on the installation day, and completed the work very professionally. Because of my prior experiences with stone installation by other contractors in other properties, I had expected to have to do some subsequent repairs to walls or cabinets due to the countertop demolition and installation. However, I was very pleasantly surprised with the care David and his crew took to prevent damage and thoroughly clean up. The finished countertop looks great. I appreciate the fact that David accommodated my schedule with the demolition and installation dates. I have already referred David at Clean Cut Stone to others contemplating new countertops, and will definitely call him again when ready to do the baths and bar.

We purchased a new sink, David picked up the template and two days later installed the counter top. The demolition team arrived early, covered the floor and cabinets and got to work. There was little damage when removing the granite. David arrived and supervised the installation. Overall, it was more that we bargained for.
Description of Work: The house we purchased had issues with the granite counter top. David came out and provided several options from repair or replace, an explanation as to why the counter top failed initially and what he would do so the problem will not reoccur.

We found David on Angie's List after the three fabricators recommended to us weren't quite the right fit for us. When he arrived at the house, he was punctual, professional and very friendly. He knows his business and has a great eye for style and functionality, and is upfront and honest when a thought or idea wouldn't be feasible, and explains in clear and easy to understand detail why. He's easy and comfortable to interact with, and walked us through his process, from taking the templates of the counters at the house to helping us use the templates to choose exactly where we wanted our stone to be cut. David and his crew are very good at what they do, and it was clear during both template processes that they pay attention to the smaller details that might otherwise go unnoticed. When the wood of one of our counter tops had been installed poorly and stalled the installation of the stone, he and his crew were proactive and generous with their time and tried to fix it, even though that part of the build had not been their mistake or responsibility. We would be more than happy to recommend David and his crew to anyone. Not only are we impressed by their professionalism and personality, but their quality of work is above the bar. We love every counter top they've done, and our choice of fabrication and installation professionals was extremely important to us, as our stone was unique and expensive. Our stone was in excellent hands, and should we ever need anything else made, David will be the man we call.

David Azai went out of his way to ensure every step of the job went smoothly, he took us to the Stone Wholesalers and spent as much time as we needed to select the best Granite and then patiently placed the templates onto the slabs so we could see exactly how are countertops would look. We were told by David and other companies who bid, that it could take up to 8 days to finish the job, David returned in 3 days and installed the complete job, we would be happy to use this company again.

I went on Angie's List to find a nearby installer with an "A" rating. David called me back after I had left a message that day or the next morning. He came out the same week to measure and give me a price. I had already decided on a stone before I called. While the stone was being shipped, David came out again to double check measurements and make a template for the stone. The stone was ready to be installed before I was ready (less than 1 week). The install was completed in a timely manner and measurements were perfect. His team did a fantastic job and I would recommend his company to all!

We used David of Clean Cut Stone to install white kashmir granite countertops in our newly remodeled kitchen. Initially, we liked the fact that he is specifically a countertop fabricator and installer as apposed to a jack of all trades type of service provider or general contractor. We had a completely positive experience from start to finish. He was very quick to respond to phone calls, gave as a very fair quote and arrived for an estimate and to do the template the very next day. He had us go to the stone yard to pick out our slab which was also priced much lower than I had previously been quoted by other fabricators/ stone yards. He was at our house with his crew the next day to install, right on time. He even did a mitered edge on the countertops to avoid that very noticeable and unattractive "seam" that I've seen in other kitchen countertops AND gave us some tips on how to remove oil stains from our very very porous and light granite. We will definitely be using him again for our bathroom remodels and have recommended him to many of our friends. He and his crew are true professionals with an eye for detail, use them and you will not regret it.

David and Clean Cut Stone did an outstanding job custom building a fireplace hearth made of Caesar Stone. It had several unique angels and challenges, which he carefully measured and took into consideration. We described to David what we wanted, and he was able to comprehend, conceptualize, and translate our description -- and then design/build an incredibly high quality piece. He was on-site for the installation, and was very hands-on. His crew was also professional and courteous. We could not be more pleased with the end result. David was fast, responsive and always on time. The work is high quality and fairly priced. What more could you really ask for? We will use Clean Cut Stone again.

David Azai was wonderful. After my initial phone call, he came to the house for measurements and to send us an estimate. All the other fabricators wanted preliminary drawings and measurements. With David this step was skipped altogether. He was personable and helped us decide between Granite and Quartz. Since the slab we chose was wide enough, we were able to have the "L" shape portion in one piece without any seam. David's team were there on time. The demo is always messy, but they masked and covered the cabinets, cleaned and vacuumed before they left. There was very little extra clean up for me to do. (There's always more to do, but I was impressed). My husband was home for the installation and said the team was very professional. They worked efficiently and were gone in about 4 hours. The counters tin the kitchen and powder room look fabulous. Thank you David. We would definitely use Clean Cut Stone again and recommend them to anyone thinking of a kitchen uplift.

It was great working with David and the Clean Cut Stone crew. The price was very reasonable and they even negotiated a discount for me on the granite slab from the granite yard. David met me at the granite yard, reviewed the slab I had chosen and worked with me to design the layout for the 3 bathroom counters that would come from one slab. He's got a great artistic eye and chose excellent placement for each counter. He quickly fabricated those and they were installed perfectly. They are so beautiful and flawless. The Cambria stone I chose was new, popular, and on back order, and David personally followed up with them until my slabs were delivered. The laundry room counter is as large as most kitchens, so it has 2 seams - which you can almost not see until you're right on top of them. His crew was efficient and cleaned up after themselves, and David made sure I knew how to take care of the counters before he left. Great experience from start to finish and I would highly recommend Clean Cut Stone.

I want to start by saying how intimidating this whole process was to me. Price, timing, what product to use, the quality and again the price! Clean Cut Stone Inc. made it easy. They came and did a free estimate which I felt comfortable with. David arrived on time and was very professional. He was even able to meet me in the evening so I didn't have to tie up my weekend or leave work early. The price was awesome! He was able to start and finish faster than the other home store could. Big plus! I ended up using Santa Cecilia granite on our counter top. All in all, it looks amazing and I couldn't be happier. It was a nice upgrade for the budget we had. No surprises in the end! We are pleased with Clean Cut Stone Inc. and would use them again.

I am an architect working on my own home. I have high expectations for quality work, and little patience for a lack of professionalism. Working with David at Precision Stone has been an absolute pleasure. Below is a list of what you can expect when selecting this stone slab sub-contractor: Will work to your budget. Is quick to respond phone calls and emails. Provide images of selected stone slabs. Will provide knowledgeable, helpful guidance throughout the process. Is prompt, attentive, and shows up on-time. Installed work efficiently in one day, on schedule. Thoroughly cleaned area after work was completed. Does not nickel and dime you with little extras. David installed sealer on our stone and did not come back for more money. Was happy to do some additional work with slab remnants, and priced the additional work appropriately. Drilled all holes for plumbing fixtures, and gave suggestions while laying them out. Stone slab work is an intricate, subtle and sometimes delicate trade. There are plenty of opportunities for subs to hit you with little ?adds? and ?extras.? Working with stone slab subs in the professional environment has taught this. It is impressive that David never once mentioned the term ?add? or ?extra.? He was goal and quality oriented, and my project benefitted from his involvement. Brad Williams Associate Marmol Radziner

David's work is perfect! We had a bad, very visible long crack in our granite kitchen counter that's been getting worse for years, and the two sinks were badly chipped. He and his crew of three others made it look almost as good as new. He carefully explained what he was going to do, and each step along the way (it was more complicated than we'd figured), and considering how much time the four people spent, the price was reasonable. We'd definitely use him again.

David was fantastic; friendly and available, timely, precise and thorough. He personally took us to numerous granite yards and helped us figure out which colors, finishes and edge details would be best for our kitchen. He suggested solutions for our deeper than normal counter bar area to ensure it would be structually stable & secure enough for a granite top. We picked a fairly rare granite material that is delicate and can be difficult to work with, but David did a FANTASTIC and FLAWLESS job! And, he was totally and completely open to using truly non-toxic materials. We LOVE our counters & we LOVE David! We would (and will) use him again in the future and we can honestly say that we would recommend him - we have already done so to two family members!

We were shopping around for a specific color ceasarstone and did not want to spend money to buy a full slab. Clean cut Stone had a remnant of the stone we were looking for and so we went with them. Not only did we save a few hundred dollars, we got top notch service and quality product. The day after David came to take final measurements we had our new vanity installed! Much sooner then I could've even hoped for. The cuts on all the pieces were very precise. The installers were perfectionists and really knew what to do with all the funny angles etc. that we had. They cleaned up all their work and even waited a few extra minutes at the end of a long day until my husband came home to inspect the final product. Overall, we got the product we were looking for with great price and service to boot! We have already recommended them to friends and family.
Description of Work: We had a ceasarstone counter top put on our bathroom vanity and few stone pieces for trim in other parts of the bathroom like the inside of out shower niche.

This went absolutely perfect. The countertops look like new. He was quick, efficient, and polite. I would absolutely recommend him. There was no evidence he was even here after cleaning up after himself so well.
Description of Work: He came to polish and reseal my granite countertops.

We obtained three estimates. Two outside Angie's list which we will not bother to do again. All our experiences with service providers through Angie's list have been perfect. We were novices as far as granite purchase and installation. David came over on time and explained the entire process. Throughout our experience he was always on time and in constant communication. His crew are top notch, professional and very good with the customer. We can't say enough about David. He is an artist with the granite. He took the slabs and made them into a piece of art running the grains up the wall into the backsplash. The result could be in Architectural Digest they are so lovely. Overall the project was a wonderful experience and on top of a great professional relationship, I think we have a new friend who will we would recommend highly to anyone.
Description of Work: Our project was a demolition of kitchen tile countertops and two bathroom marble countertops then installation of granite countertops and four sinks.
